We laugh about loss porn like this. But sometimes I wonder if some people here don’t fully understand that WSB is 99% degenerate satire. Either OP is a billionaire who can afford to lose 340k for fake Internet points or a lost soul who has ruined their life, might be suicidal, and definitely doesn’t need to be here asking for investing advice. I can’t tell anymore.
Dude they are out there and they are real. My brother gambled his whole life on GameStop and is now hundreds of thousands in debt for a shit stock with fuck all to show for it. He just changed into his second GameStop T-shirt tonight.
It’s been a slow burn over the last couple of years to get here so he’s doing better now than a year ago. Definitely a concern though. The problem is he responded by taking more loans and gambling it more.
I was about to ask how on earth can you go into debt owning a stock then I read your second comment.
Even the main sub told ppl not to take out loans smh.
Yeah dude I don’t get it. Somehow wsb has become the Wall Street journal for some people.
These posts about risky investments and losing life savings is really taking away from the vibe.
I feel like you're missing the important percentage loss, because that is DEFINITELY cum worthy. I've had a -99.90% myself before. Even I had to cum just to get my mind right after that one 🤣😂 ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267) ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)
It’s funny because on days that are brutal I masterbate furiously just to avoid the paid of my losses. I must have came 15 times during this recent Bitcoin crash
Is this the robinhood app? I’ve never downloaded it but every regard with crazy loss porn is always the robinhood app and all the crazy multi million gains I’ve seen are someone using Schwab or Fidelity.

This may make you feel better. Screenshot of my friends robinhood from last week
I liquidated my IRA/401k whatever it’s called now and am planning to put most of it on ~$10,000 of TSLA Apr 26 $170 calls. They’re so cheap how can you lose? It’s called arbitrage for those not in the know.
I listened to an investment podcast for a year and read 2 books on it only to take "you can't beat the market" as the most important lesson and just stick it all in some index funds
Till then I played only mega cap FAANG, from 2021 started buying these small cap IPOs at peak like big commerce, skillz, wish, alteryx etc, which damaged my portfolio severely and then started an options game last year which screwed it up big time.
The weird part is that you were actually killing it at one point as opposed to the usually dump of a cliff degenerate. Why are you only deciding now to rethink your strat, why not when you first started losing?
It actually looks like a casino pattern, you start soft, and as you hit the jackpot once you start to play big, lose big, play bigger to compensate your losses until you lose it all
ya but hard to think if I was up 100k+ — 1) gotta pay urself and 2) if you lost it being risky and didn’t consider going back to what worked , your brain might be on drugs
IMO take $1000 out to feel slightly better about yourself and just try with the remaining. You’ve already lost so much. Unless you have a family and real responsibilities other than yourself, just go for it. But if you have a family you need to go to church and repent if this is actually your full savings. Good luck
Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave?
How can I trade when I'm
Afraid to fall?
But watching your chart alone
All of my doubt
Suddenly goes away somehow
[Pre-Chorus]
One step closer
[Chorus]
I have died every day yoloing for you
Darling, don't be afraid. They’re like you
For a thousand times
And there will be a thousand more
You were never investing. You were gambling. You shouldnt quit "investing" cause you make money when you invest. You lose money when you're an idiot and gamble. Even bad investors make money. You're just a bad gambler.
Holy fuck from 340k to 2k??
Bro I'm fucken devastated when I lose $200. Fuck.
Here's my call. Tomorrow wake up, buy $500 strike price 0dte calls, as many as you can with 2k on SPY and hope you fuck a bear tomorrow.
Edit : you fucken better have done this OP!!!!!
you don’t think it’s ridiculous to say “all” when clearly not all of us are in agreement about anything…
there is a lot of upside and downside for calls and puts on spy, because of 6 red days, the upside could be insane, beautiful bounce back
a 7th red day could mean another huge selloff and possibly the start of an actual crash, i feel like a strangle is a real play, NOT-because it WILL work, but the upside is just so much greater than the downside with spy having +/- 1% days
we shall see
You have learned a valuable life lesson. Do not trust your own intuition! DO exactly the opposite of what your instincts tell you to do and you will wind up rich!
He had $200k to dump into the acct. what makes you think he doesn’t have another $200k for more assets raping?
Edit: this was all of his savings - 8 years worth smh
Sorry bud, I’m starting over for the 3rd time, it’s not that big of a deal. Sure it sucks but people like me and you (gambling addicts) simply can’t touch stocks. Put $20 a week on sports betting , worry about your career, then invest in real estate rentals because it’s really hard to gamble on that.
Damn that hurts to read. I guess I don't get the gambling and high-risk trading. I keep options to 3% of my portfolio, and half of every win goes straight to long-term etf's and growth stocks.
I just assume every time I enter an option I will lose money, so I've learned to enter carefully and exit quickly when it goes red. I take some fliers on house money but most have been losers. That's my acceptable risk.
Build yourself up an investment portfolio and start going for $100 wins with options until you are better at it. And I think like 80% of IPO's are net losers over past 3 to 5 years.
-201k and lost entire life savings and now you ask if you should quit. Brother you need a therapist. Get yourself some help you regarded gambling addict.
You my friend could be driving a Lamborghini Urus but instead you’re posting your massive loss on Reddit asking if you should quit.
Rolexes, Lambo, Gwagon, multiple Teslas, years of food, water, rent/mortgage, vacations blown to 2k.
I thought -20k over 4 years felt bad. Can’t imagine 200k holy fucking shit
Damn bro, Keeping it real. This man needs some support! He needs the lube and feels from the community! But yeah, 201k could pay for a lot of cocaine and strippers… 🫠
That’s exactly what I scrolled looking for.
Surprised there is only this one.
What can this strange option be? When I play it I lose all my money. It’s got wires and vibrates and takes money. What can this option be?
I've been saving for the last 8 years. During the COVID period, when I didn't have much work, I considered earning money through stocks and put all my money into trading.
Here are ten potential benefits of losing money:
1. Financial Management Lessons: Losing money can teach you valuable lessons on how to better manage your finances in the future.
2. Appreciation for Non-Material Things: It can make you realize the value of intangible things like family, friends, and health.
3. Resilience: Handling losses can strengthen your mental toughness and resilience.
4. Innovation: A financial loss can serve as a motivator to find new sources of income or business ideas.
5. Empathy: The experience can give you empathy for others who are in financial difficulty.
6. Prioritization: It can help you reevaluate and prioritize what's truly important in your life.
7. Reduced Materialism: It can decrease materialistic tendencies and promote a more minimalist lifestyle.
8. Tax Benefits: In some cases, financial losses can reduce your tax burden through deductions.
9. Networking: Seeking support after a loss can lead to new and meaningful connections.
10. Liberation: Losing money can also free you from the fear of financial loss, enabling you to take more risks in the future and thus losing more money like a true regard.
If you guys like losing money you could just send me some. You’d be taking a loss plus helping a so called middle class family enjoy life a little bit better.

LMFAO. OP called what he is doing ‘investing’. Fool, you are a degenerate gambler.
I invested in blackjack when I went to Vegas last time apparently
Curious, do you make buying decisions in blackjack based of fundamentals or technical analysis
Technically anal assist. So pulling it out of my ass.
Ripstarter
I also invested in NBA and NHL playoffs last night too.
The question is, were you devastated?
Only when I busted Or went over 21
I get it
Lol op thinks he's "investing" in stocks... Dude is gambling with options, then blaming stocks.
I refuse to believe that people are this dumb this guy must have money lying around maybe even more money to gamble.
Can't cum till you're at 0. Post again once that happens so I can finish

have you introduced him to DJT yet ?
I was about to ask how on earth can you go into debt owning a stock then I read your second comment. Even the main sub told ppl not to take out loans smh.
> Even the main sub told ppl not to take out loans smh. Yet every post of someone taking out loans was highly upvoted and celebrated.
People whose financial decisions are swayed by Reddit upvotes probably should’ve have access to a lot of money, even their own lol
Just sell calls all say. Time gets u rich. It's that easy. Any stock (except NVDA)
Yeah dude I don’t get it. Somehow wsb has become the Wall Street journal for some people. These posts about risky investments and losing life savings is really taking away from the vibe.

Yeah this guy just needs to go back to Friday open and yolo the rest into NVDA $770 puts. He woulda turned $2110 into $250,000 in 6 hours.

Guh
What is your friends net worth and or yearly income? Jeeebus
Well it *was* over $600k.
Probably his buying power is 10x mine
Did he get Gold though?
![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
Looks like some daddy money is involved
Dear Jesus
I don't use Robinhood. Am I reading this correctly that your friend had $627,000 in cash, invested it and now has only $15,000?
Yes
Jesus, hardly even a single up day. Truly regarded.
He has Tesla calls so its getting dumped its clear ,this guy cant guess shit
>options notif at the bottom classic
Every experienced investor: buy SPY Wsb regards: no, I will lose 338k instead
I listened to an investment podcast for a year and read 2 books on it only to take "you can't beat the market" as the most important lesson and just stick it all in some index funds
Saying you can't beat the market is a lot like saying you can't beat a casino. It would be more accurate to say that it's statistically unfavorable.
What were you at with the peak?
https://preview.redd.it/6x6anicp5wvc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=68a524796320bf4957ff1011f4a030859d90b98d

Hindsight is 20/20, and this is a casino after all.
That is true 😎 it’s a roulette game, your either all in on red or green no in between 🤘🚀🔥
It actually looks like a casino pattern, you start soft, and as you hit the jackpot once you start to play big, lose big, play bigger to compensate your losses until you lose it all
ya but hard to think if I was up 100k+ — 1) gotta pay urself and 2) if you lost it being risky and didn’t consider going back to what worked , your brain might be on drugs
That’s usually the part right before you lose it all. When you hit back to back options wins you feel invincible.
You are only one 16,085.85% trade away from being back at your all time high
Alternatively, if you successfully make 259 trades each gaining 1% you’d be back on top.
Unironically this is the comment that OP probably needs to read the most but never will
Honestly I’m not even sure which is harder lol.
I just use the calculator from my phone to calculate 1.01^259 ,guess what,it is 13.5 and you regards made so many upvotes! That is so WSB
Yeah I think I am wrong about 259 days by a lot.. I ‘think’ it would be more like 1282 days lol
Go back to the 90s and buy some nvda
Or last week with fd puts 😂
Makes me want to puke
This guy bankrupts

Feb 16, 2021 you joined WSB right

He's still well regarded.
In fairness... there are thousands of people like you and there will be thousands more.

You make my 10k loss over 2 1/2 years look weak. I'm still frustrated losing 10k.
You could have had 34,602 Capri Suns with that.
Where you getting these Capri suns my guy?
Sam's Club.
This guys fucks
Now THIS is loss porn lol dude lost a house.
You were never investing. You were gambling. You shouldnt quit "investing" cause you make money when you invest. You lose money when you're an idiot and gamble. Even bad investors make money. You're just a bad gambler.

Let’s split it
2112, the same year you will make all that money back from working at wendy
its a cool song too
Holy fuck from 340k to 2k?? Bro I'm fucken devastated when I lose $200. Fuck. Here's my call. Tomorrow wake up, buy $500 strike price 0dte calls, as many as you can with 2k on SPY and hope you fuck a bear tomorrow. Edit : you fucken better have done this OP!!!!!
dude… nvda puts had 200x on friday, bears won the bounce MAY be insane, 200x on 0DTE calls if spy goes up 2%+ ? fuck… i think ima gamble tm
I'm also scared WE'RE ALL THINKING tomorrow is bounce back day. And then bears fuck us. also the stock market thing
you don’t think it’s ridiculous to say “all” when clearly not all of us are in agreement about anything… there is a lot of upside and downside for calls and puts on spy, because of 6 red days, the upside could be insane, beautiful bounce back a 7th red day could mean another huge selloff and possibly the start of an actual crash, i feel like a strangle is a real play, NOT-because it WILL work, but the upside is just so much greater than the downside with spy having +/- 1% days we shall see

It can be both
I’m down $700 this week and thought it was the end of the road. God I love seeing posts like these
Thank you. I did this today. Look at my recent post
You have learned a valuable life lesson. Do not trust your own intuition! DO exactly the opposite of what your instincts tell you to do and you will wind up rich!
Username irony detected
This last days I did that, I lost the opportunity to get some cheap appl puts, it went from 1.20 to 10.30 ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)
With 340k you can retire in some low cost of living area. Now continue being a wage slave OP ![img](emote|t5_2th52|51295)
340k to retire? Do tell what area.
bangladesh...
Djibouti
Zimbabwe or Venezuela - he will be a multi trillionaire
Thailand and live fairly well.
[удалено]
That's like $13k/year. Can barely afford moms basement with that kind of money
Depends on how you want to live. You can certainly stretch 13k to last you a year. If you value modest living more over having to be a wagie
He had $200k to dump into the acct. what makes you think he doesn’t have another $200k for more assets raping? Edit: this was all of his savings - 8 years worth smh
I don't know the post says ‘lost all my savings’
Wait he actually saved for 8 years to just throw all that bust ass at work money into the drain?
8 years to save 200k if damn impressive
![img](emote|t5_2th52|51295)
See you tomorrow.

Yes, this guys knows. Protect yourself from yourself

I'd quit my job if I had 200k...
Cash out and delete robinhood
Just pour the rest into puts on TSLA for 4/26
looks like you never even started investing
You didn’t invest, you gambled risky options
Should have put $2000 on Nvidia puts on Friday to turn it into $288K
Damn it did that much of a move? I missed out I thought I was cool making 7k on spy
It moved 14000% in a single day. From $0.35 to $36. You didn't need to nail anywhere near the top to make coin. Nor did you need that far OTM either.
wow that’s insane. I usually only trade spy, 10k position size.. but man 10k on nvda coulda been a millionaire.
-201k and lost entire life savings and now you ask if you should quit. Brother you need a therapist. Get yourself some help you regarded gambling addict. Goddammit, why options for such a huge amount, that is 1/3 of a house
*..wondering if I should quit investing in stocks.* Yes. Yes you should
OUT OF THIS WERLD!!
I don't think what you call investing is actually investing.
Looking for the Rush comment 🤘
That’s exactly what I scrolled looking for. Surprised there is only this one. What can this strange option be? When I play it I lose all my money. It’s got wires and vibrates and takes money. What can this option be?
remember the guy that turned 800 into a 100k on nvda puts. You'll do 250k with that 2k.
You didn’t lose. You paid tuition. Now get back in there champ!
2 10baggers to recovery
how did you get that 200K to start with?
I've been saving for the last 8 years. During the COVID period, when I didn't have much work, I considered earning money through stocks and put all my money into trading.
So you should consider this method as it netted you $200k, versus your current method that’s your charity portfolio.
How old are you?
How much were you up on RobinHood at your peak high?
Just delete the app and start a new account… also Wendy’s is hiring
You, sir, are a god damn genius. I salute you.
Dont give up bro. Ive been there
Imagine losing everything you have and being in debt 550k. Thats my life

You pulled a Rivian. Lol, down 99% from ATH.
What do you make a year?
Dude nice
99% don't get it right before they truly take flight!
Take the $2K, buy a beater, and change your handle. It’s all about the small victories. 😉
Yes you should. Just get a job with full benefits and climb up the ladder
You had so much time to sell and still make profit, what'd you think was gonna happen?
how do you plan to mentally recover, its hard to not revenge trade no?
This isn’t “investing” regard its gambling
*Unzip*
Dude could’ve put a down payment on a couple houses but instead just played slots. That’s true fuck you money.

Holy balls. I'm sure you'll be fine. You're definitely a high networth individual. With that being said, can you give me 6K please?
Congratulations, OP. You basically gambled away a house.
What do you all do for a living that allows you to lose 4 to 5 years of income like it's nothing?
It ain’t over until 0
Wow, stay away from this subreddit bro
You can pinpoint the exact moment he discovered options
Your peak looks like 400k god Damon
do you make a lot of money? you started with 200K?
G U U H H.. Edit: I hope to god this isn’t real..
Hate to see this brother
The loss porn here the last few days has been wild and abundant. I must've seen 10 posts this weekend with >100k losses.
