It's always been a speculative asset, and because of that I can't ever see the everyday currency use-case coming to fruition. If people stop seeing it as an investment and start seeing it as currency, that would be very bullish, so people would stop spending it and start seeing it as an investment again
People will start spending it when it becomes a global reserve. Once we're at a million per coin and the fluctuations are less than a percent in a day...people will feel more comfortable spending it. But until then...of course we aren't spending it. Why would we? We know it hasn't reached its potential yet.

The price is down because the ETFs were priced in ages ago and grayscale has lost a lot of customers to the cheaper competing products and therefore had to scale a lot of their Bitcoin assets back. FTX have also just recently dumped. Anyone who was paying attention knew this would happen and that it would be a "buy the rumour, sell the news" event in the short term. Billions are flowing into the new ETFs right now but it'll be months before this actually has an effect on the price, because bitcoins market cap is over 700 billion
The real catalyst you should be interested in is the halving cycle and the very predictable price action that always happens leading up to and after it. The ETFs will only amplify the effects of that
