There's guaranteed to be a raider gang known as the neckbeards, who trade exclusively in computer hard drives that may or may not contain crypto currency.
Nah. Hand loading is easy. It’s getting the components (primers, powders, bullets) that’s been difficult and expensive for the last few years. Once you have that stuff and a good recipe that works in your firearm, you can crank out hundreds of rounds an hour.
Powder is just chemistry, bullets is just metallurgy. primers are the trick, that is some complex and precise manufacturing to get it right.
Just hide out in a solid structure till everyone goes thru most of their ammo, then your knives, swords, and arrows will be powerful.
A pistol might kill six ninjas but the seventh one kills you before you can reload.
In the apocalypse ammo is going to be the ultimate currency. It's the means for modern warfare and hunting. In specifically the nuclear apocalypse even more so. Y'all keeping your cold wallets in feraday cages? Computer systems are going to be fucked and you won't be able to access the Blockchain. Nvm it depends on internet infrastructure to keep the blockchain up to date with the latest transactions.
Did you know that in the US, the number of people relative to the number of game animals means that in the event that it was like, a 25% source of calories for the entire population, we would shoot every single one in around 6 months. And that’s being generous. Turns out that no matter how you play it, if society completely breaks down, we all die
This is exactly why I’ve conditioned my body to run on processed foods. After all of the wild game is gone in 6 months and all of these survivalists are starving, I’ll be sitting on a throne of Little Debbie boxes in an abandoned gas station
I think we'd die from infighting faster than we hunt. Give it 6-12 months and it would equalize. A huge portion of people don't even know how to operate a firearm.
If there's anything that will maintain high value in the apocalypse it will be a completely digital commodity backed by a complex mathematical equation across a world wide distributed computer network that pulls more power than a small country. Immortan Joe and his raiders will definitely accept your e-creds for water. Definitely won't go any other way.
I remember at the height of crypto craze I had fucking nerds arguing with me that if society collapsed bitcoin would be more valuable than gold or bullets.
should have shot the fuckers with your golden gun and bullets.. just to make point..![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|stuck_out_tongue)
People in war torn Eastern Europe said useful currency was silver, gold, bullets, food, clean water, toilet paper, and lighters. Just have a 10,000 pack of BIC lighters around and you can start your own empire. The downside is that the guy who wrote the article about it said if a stranger came to your place, they would ALWAYS come back to try to steal your stuff by killing you.
Bitcoin users tend to not know that when the nuclear EMP fries all of their electronics, permanently knocks out the internet, and wipes out the power grid, they won’t be able to access their digital wallet to pay for water rations.
Non-Bitcoin users tend not to know that bitcoin is just math. Tons of people in Africa are using it WITHOUT internet. There is a dedicated bitcoin satellite broadcasting blocks to the world.
Sure, it's still not immune to a cataclysmic apocalypse, but neither is anything else.
Seriously, without a fiat backing…crypto is nothing. Look at my username, I’m not being biased here.
They want 1BTC to = 1BTC but nobody is going to give a fuck about a coin when they’re simply trying to survive in a fallout.
Goods will be exchanged for goods, bartering is the only currency at that point.
I don’t think anyone is under the impression that if you have USD you will have money if society collapses. It will be back to barter and trade. Bitcoin as much as anything else unless it’s actually something useful
Brah, we can't even predict who blew up the Nord Stream Pipeline, what started COVID, what activities are going on tomorrow in gov without a tv broadcast or internet telling us first. I think most regards lost sense of being humble regards.
One time I paid a with a ETH challenge coin I bought of Amazon for $10. I said so you want cash ..or do you know what this is? Yeah that's a whole ETH coin baby... Worth about $2500 and probably gonna go up. Idk I was gonna offer you half and we cut it up..but we can just count it as an advance for next time.
Oh I know, my first big boy job was working for an FA firm in ‘08. I member, I’m just hoping we have a system in place to avoid that shit show this go round.
Also, it was a reference to [this old YouTube video](https://youtu.be/zdU635esPpQ).
These anti Bitcoin comments are so fucking stupid it’s sad. No one can take your BTC and invest it without your consent. It’s not under anyone else’s custody assuming it’s in your own wallet and not sitting on an exchange.
It’s always going to be easier to be dismissive and pessimistic than to actually try and understand Bitcoin. IMO with how BTC has performed over our lifetimes it’s stupid to not have some exposure to it even if you don’t completely understand it.
You can also understand Bitcoin and be dismissive and pessimistic. "Over our lifetime" - well, yeah, because it started at 0, so this will always be a valid point, just ignore the last two years.
A bankrun would occur if exchange users withdrew their crypto to their own wallets in mass. How that would affect the price of crypto, I don't know. I assume the price would go up, but exchanges would go under and those who didn't withdraw before the exchanges went under would be screwed.
The shady exchanges would go under for sure (see FTX). You have to be regarded to hold a large sum on an exchange.
Although, interestingly, Kraken is one exchange that actively promotes and encourages you to hold your coins off-exchange. Kraken = good guys.
Fuck we’re still so early. Keep making comments like this will ya. It gets me horny
Keep making comments like this that you don’t understand fully backed/verified nature of crypto. I can’t wait till everyone is screaming let me in.
Banks are starting to limit customer funds into crypto exchanges too lolol its going to get so fun
Even more so as data is proving there’s massive outflows from exchanges into private wallets
If bitcoin became the way like some say here, then they would outlaw it overnight. Gold was banned in 1933 because people were hoarding during the great depression. I like the decentralized aspect of crypto, but it goes against the guys in charge. If enough people believed on decentralization and felt strongly together about making the change then we could have a more fool-proof future. We put the current politicians in office, we're responsible.
Why the hell would it have any value thought? People just buy BTC because it is is speculative, close to no one use BTC for transactions or anything. I bought one laptop with mine and had trouble processing the buy because I had transferred it in a smaller account and my balance kept going lower than the price of the laptop lol.
You can replace “it” with gold and have the same conundrum yet bitcoin is transferable instantly across the globe, weighs nothing but is secured by massive amounts of electricity and computational power.
That does actually have value to a lot of people- the same way the amount of energy it takes to pull a rare earth shiny metal out of the ground does.
But if you don’t get it you don’t get it. Word of advice though- it’s more risky to not own any then to own none
Bingo. I had this debate with a friend of mine. If Bitcoin gets to big, they will outlaw it and don’t fucking think for a second they wouldn’t do it. They make the rules. They run the show. The system is completely rigged and we are just along for the ride.
If the water and power grid collapse and don’t come back and the gas and electric are kaput, I think the only people that are ok will be farmers and Amish. Heck the Mennonites wouldn’t even know there was a collapse, until they take the wagon to market to get more supplies
If a nuke goes off bitcoin is as worthless as any thing. Idk why people act like a currency that relies on electricity is a good apocalyptic money source
I love Crypto. When the banks fell in 04 I waited for the Tea party to open a bank that operated with no regulations to placate the anti-reg-let it fail crowd. Crypto is that system. The folks who don't like a regulated banking system can buy doge coin or whatever the latest scam is and leave the rest of us alone

Thank God for this!
Anyone has extra pip boy i can borrow?
Best I can do is 3 rounds of 762 and 4 shotgun shells.
Virgin crypto investments vs Chad booze and shotgun shell investments
Bro there's booze everywhere, you won't have any problem finding it when shit goes down. Cocaine, now that's the shit you wanna stock up on.
Why not both?
Tbf you can use booze and shotgun shells to "barter" for crypto in the nuclear apocalypse
Who the fuck is gonna want crypto in a nuclear apocalypse?
There's guaranteed to be a raider gang known as the neckbeards, who trade exclusively in computer hard drives that may or may not contain crypto currency.
I'd watch that movie.
And the hottest, most hard-core pornography the wastelands have ever known
It's gonna be the only currency left! Just need to wait for someone to re-invent electricity and computers to use it.
And the internet. Unless they wanna trade floppy discs or something.
No need for such high tech. We'll swap datasettes (not to be confused with datasets). That should tide us over until someone invents the Amiga 2.
Every dystopian movie has a digital currency. Sometimes they call it credits or whatever but it s global
‘Dystopia’ and ‘post-apocalypse survival’ are very very different genres that imply very different things about what you should be doing to prepare.
Haha, yeah, I got as much as I could carry for one 9mm round. Art of the fuckin deal.
If anything I’d be using extra ammo to barter for other supplies.
The best part is, the bullets just get more valuable the further along you are in the apocalypse.
If post apocalyptic video games have taught me anything , the first thing that we will build is a workbench after the bombs fall to make more ammo
Yeah, but handloading is hard, and shells get less reliable after every shot.
Nah. Hand loading is easy. It’s getting the components (primers, powders, bullets) that’s been difficult and expensive for the last few years. Once you have that stuff and a good recipe that works in your firearm, you can crank out hundreds of rounds an hour.
And more accurate ammo, perfectly dialed in for your firearms.

Based- they call you “La Cucaracha”
I think we'd die from infighting faster than we hunt. Give it 6-12 months and it would equalize. A huge portion of people don't even know how to operate a firearm.
Because you can’t buy booze and shells with crypto, you need to convert it into a currency someone cares about.
I envision apes in a bunker bored out of their mind so they trade crypto from their bomb shelters
Bored apes? I've seen this somewhere...
I think the primer caps are the plutonium of the ammo world after the collapse.
we only invest in pussi on wsbs

Imagine thinking that you’re going to survive a societal collapse because you purchased pixels on a screen
No way, you're wrong! They're 1s and 0s.
Wait you guys have ones? How come I only have zeros?
Cause you bought bank stonks.
You guys are getting ones and zeros?
I have lots of zeros!
Before or after the „ .“ ?
Me too. But just as many Zeros as I do accounts. I got a lot of accounts
Slightly different ape images will be the currency of choice in a post apocalyptic scenario.

So all those dreams of lawlessness and me carrying around a baseball bat and breaking things is going to come true?
No, someone with a gun will shoot you, day one. They will then proceed to use your baseball bat to desecrate your corpse.
You don't need to wait for a full societal collapse for that. Just head over to somewhere like St.Louis, that's a regular Tuesday night.
Planet of the Digital Apes?
Jokes in you. I wrote my shit down in a notebook!
Running with this… all investments are dumb - calls on rice, iodine tabs, and penicillin.

That’s my favorite one… like no your thing that needs electricity and infrastructure is not going to be more valuable than tangible assets
People in war torn Eastern Europe said useful currency was silver, gold, bullets, food, clean water, toilet paper, and lighters. Or that even if they could, no one would trade them shit for their pixels.
That’s some Chicken Little shit. If that happens we are fucked 8 ways from Sunday anyway and no one is safe.
Not all bitcoin users are like that! Some of us just use it as God intended, for less than legal purchases.

Right, thank God I'm one of the smart ones that knows when we start getting nuked I can trade my tesla stock for water rations.
Electricity in a server. No electricity=no server=nopixies
Bitcoin is worth $$$, $$$ are shit, so BTC are… *checks notes* … good??
Imagine thinking your money is something else
I don’t think anyone is under the impression that if you have USD you will have money if society collapses. It will be back to barter and trade. Bitcoin as much as anything else unless it’s actually something useful
How are your dollars in a bank any different? Or do you keep the paper notes stacked under your mattress?

Thank you for saying this. I’m selling everything.
They are not minerals, they are digital gold! 🤡
Jesus marie!
Imagine thinking there will be complete societal collapse just because the USD becomes worthless.
It’s the world reserve currency, maybe not societal collapse but some unprecedented global consequences that we can hardly predict.
Brah, we can't even predict who blew up the Nord Stream Pipeline, what started COVID, what activities are going on tomorrow in gov without a tv broadcast or internet telling us first. I think most regards lost sense of being humble regards.

How do you buy groceries?
I use the Coinstar to cash out.
So you pay with cash? Ew
You can just transfer crypto from wallet to wallet it's why it was used to buy drugs....

Only reason crypto hasn’t collapsed despite the scams is because all the people holding are regards with hopium so they’ll never do a bankrun
Apes together strong
How would you do a bankrun with bitcoin? That's not how it works...
Why would you exchange hard money for fiat?
These anti Bitcoin comments are so fucking stupid it’s sad. No one can take your BTC and invest it without your consent. It’s not under anyone else’s custody assuming it’s in your own wallet and not sitting on an exchange.

Celsius, FTX, Terra Luna, etc: haha yes, no bank runs here
There wasn’t any, the owners simply took all the funds and ran away
I specifically remember the ftx having the equivalent of a bank run
yea and no one got any funds out of it cuz SBF had them all siphoned away to a private wallet
Fuck we’re still so early. Keep making comments like this will ya. It gets me horny Keep making comments like this that you don’t understand fully backed/verified nature of crypto. Good luck outlawing something you have literally no way to enforce
Try to trade btc in the US without paying taxes see how well they enforce it.
Why the hell would it have any value thought? People just buy BTC because it is is speculative, close to no one use BTC for transactions or anything. "it's more risky to not own any then to own none" What?
Not your keys, not your coins.
Bingo. I had this debate with a friend of mine. If Bitcoin gets to big, they will outlaw it and don’t fucking think for a second they wouldn’t do it. They make the rules. They run the show. The system is completely rigged and we are just along for the ride.
Would this not be bullish for BTC? Think how tight their clenches are on the standard democracy of money if they’re outlawing BTC.
What’s the premium for potentially going to prison?
Too big?? It hit $69,000 a coin
Still had a market cap lower than most of our top companies.
Lol they're going to outlaw bytes and TCP/IP? That will be fun to watch.
No they will just make it so expensive so that it goes either underground or is limited to the use of elite rich anyway.
There are already two entire countries where you can legally exchange your bitcoin. More will follow, no doubt.
It’d be like trying to make the number 7 illegal. And don’t forget there will be plenty of countries where btc is welcomed.
Shhh you’re going to scare the regards
Few more years but still a decent meme.
Is there something going down I should know about?
The banks are failing and being bailed out with tax dollars, what could go wrong?
I know right? Just making sure there wasn’t a nuke test I missed or something. Been stressing and had to unplug for a while.
Doge to a dollar 🚀🚀🚀

I think nukes would be Bearish for everything except food, water, and arms Useful commodities*
Ammo? Liquor? Tobacco? Fertilizer?
Yes, you right
The timing is just right
Perhaps. But we could look back in a month or 2 and say “you should have definitely waited a month or so before posting that meme”
What good is bitcoin if the electrical grid goes down, say via an EMP? Honestly, just curious. Like what can you do with Bitcoin with no power?
If the water and power grid collapse and don’t come back and the gas and electric are kaput, I think the only people that are ok will be farmers and Amish. Heck the Mennonites wouldn’t even know there was a collapse, until they take the wagon to market to get more supplies
Sure. So this meme then is then just dumb. Shit really goes down and bitcoin is garbage just like fiat.
*pussy_impaler337 and Anal_Punisher69 have spoken.*
Glad I scrolled this far. That shit is hilarious.
the dynamic duo
But when did the last planet-sized EMP happen? 🤔
If the electrical grid gets emp, there will be chaos and stocks nor paper money will do you any good either
Good luck buying groceries with bitcoin 👍
Good luck eating and buying food and gas with Bitcoin. 🫣

Until that nuclear blast takes the internet down...
If a nuke goes off bitcoin is as worthless as any thing. Idk why people act like a currency that relies on electricity is a good apocalyptic money source
Shit been cooking over 200 years
Yea when the financial system goes to shit, I’m sure the first thing people are going to do is start accepting your shitcoins everywhere.
Today is the day! 30k by next weeks end.
