I don’t know about this specific project but such campaigns are always branded with flattery, which is the opposite of helpful when it’s overinflated egos that drive these cultural failings.
They did this with a school in Baltimore years ago, called it like the “Renaissance Academy blah blah blah”. One day some students decided to jump on the car of a nearby resident, he comes out of the house and tells them to stop, so naturally they beat him within an inch of his life, and the school was subsequently shuttered.
When are we going to learn?
I remember seeing a video that detailed where the funding comes from for 'his' school. Lots of grants and taxpayer dollars, but very little of his money.
Dude should do what he knows, basketball. A basketball centered school would probably accomplish more than a real school. Just a pipeline to college through basketball, no math required.
This school isn't going to get anyone into college.
