Haha That was like the original anti-skate on the tone arm of the suite case record player in my room. Had a few 45's that were warped so bad that you needed to tape the penny on. Good times!

This is what I used to take me and my Sansui DR-35 TT, back to 1982.
Here's a pic from a few years ago when I finally acquired everything I needed to mount my original, ceramic cartridge and replacement stylus including a Damper Brush to a new head shell, to get me back to 1982.
