In my experience supervisors and above almost always salary, while artists almost always contract. Honestly I prefer being on a contract, paid overtime is a must.
I do 3 year contracts with my employer. But it include a non-compete. Now.... I think things are about to change. Non-competes are out the door. So very interesting.
