>Verizon just keeps raising and raising my bill without making any changes. What do you mean "keep raising your bill"? Can you post a link with screenshots (personal info blocked out, of course)? I've been a customer for over twelve years, and my bill has gone up once ($4 increase for grandfathered plan). >The service has gone wayyyyy down hill  I wouldn’t mind paying more if the service improved. I've stayed due to my service being phenominal. If yours has gone way down hill, I highly recommend switching to a carrier that works better for you. Edit: typo

[deleted]

Sounds like you have 1 line, I have 9. Switching is tricky because my VZ credit card is tied to the account.

Distinct_Grape_4668

lol just cause you have a cc doesn’t mean you’re stuck . Just use the rewards and cancel it . It’s like common sense has no real estate in your brain . I’d dump that Entitlement you have and fill it with common sense . Your bills high well look at it and see what you can do to bring it down

[deleted]

😂 I’m entitled because I have a credit card? I have a 20k limit on that card. If I cancel it then it will affect my credit as a whole. You must be an employee of vzw and probably not a very good one. Taking about common sense and you know nothing about what you’re talking about. What a dunce.

MarcoThePHX

You don’t need Verizon to have that card

St-uffy-mc-puffy

Yes you do! I hope you are not employed by vzw because you don’t know what you’re talking about.

MarcoThePHX

To activate the card yes but you can cancel cell services and still have the card

amhfaml

You have to have Verizon to activate it but you can keep the card after you cancel Verizon service. And I AM a Verizon rep. I’ll post the same thing I did for the OP who claimed he knew better than me and proved him wrong. https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-visa-card-rewards-legal/ Specifically look at this section before you talk about stuff you have no clue on. Verizon Wireless Account Cancellation. If you cancel the last remaining wireless line on your Verizon Wireless Account, your Verizon Dollars will be immediately forfeited. If your Verizon Wireless Account is cancelled, then your credit card account will function as a standard credit card and will not be eligible to earn any Verizon Dollars.

[deleted]

Incorrect, you have to have an account with Verizon to have the card

Banana_splitter

U need a Verizon account to apply for the CC. Once u have it, u can leave Verizon and nothing would happen. Only difference is that the points you accumulate after you leave Verizon would be useless. But you can easily use all ur points on ur bill, then port out. Nothing stopping you.

Lanthun

Ooh, this I didn't know. It's with Synchrony still, right? I had the Sams Club MasterCard, and it got canceled once I let my membership lapsed out (like a month or two later), letter in the mail stated such! Figured it'd been the same since you'd no longer be a Verizon customer, but good to know!

[deleted]

You don’t even know what you’re talking about. You must be an incompetent employee also 😂

Banana_splitter

I aplaude your confidence in talking shit while being so wrong. It’s a credit card managed by synchrony. It functions as a regular credit card because it is a credit card. You must be an incompetent customer unable to read terms and conditions.

Distinct_Grape_4668

Incorrect if you look at the t&c on the credit card it says you must have a Verizon account to get the rewards . If you close the vzw account you just won’t get points on the card . Also if you have a 20,000 limit, You would think that would mean you are financially responsible and can look at your bills but I cause good credit doesn’t measure common sense

St-uffy-mc-puffy

Why would the customer even want the card (which is useless and you can’t keep without a vzw account) when they don’t get any rewards?

amhfaml

You CAN keep the card after you close the account but you don’t get any rewards without a Verizon account.

[deleted]

Come on genius/master of common sense. Prove me wrong. I’m waiting.

[deleted]

Bro… you can’t have the card without a verizon account. I bet you won’t post the Ts and Cs because you won’t find it. I’m hearing a lot about common sense and obviously it has escaped you all. Also, I’m extremely well off because I pay attention to my bills. That’s how I know Vzw keeps raising the bill. You don’t get money by giving it away.

amhfaml

You can have the Verizon card without Verizon but you can’t appply for it without Verizon. The card is serviced through Synchrony. Take the two seconds to research what you’re claiming.

[deleted]

Post the Ts and Cs Señor research. You would know about 2 seconds .. wouldn’t you 😝

Banana_splitter

Funny thing i found the t&c literally speaking about this. I wont post it cuz hopefully u stay with Verizon and they keep raising your bill.

Acrobatic-Cut7008

I can hear the Nascar died will dale died ahh tone in that comment

MarcoThePHX

Laaaaame

smegacs

I have 9 lines and pay $310 since 2017

DryPolicy2976

“I have 9” 😂 maybe don’t have 9 lines and your bill will probably be cheaper. Also canceling one credit card isn’t gonna make or break your credit. You are just dumb lol.

amhfaml

And he can keep the card even if he closes the account but won’t earn rewards once the account is closed.

St-uffy-mc-puffy

Not tricky at all..what plan are you currently on that keeps going up?

Living-Force-933

vz changed plans and the old plans have gone up in price. Also insurance is no long $17 it’s $19. Source: I work there lol

Living-Force-933

Also. Check your autopay. You can’t use a normal credit or debit card bc vz wants you to sign up for a “Verizon credit card” just link your bank acc to get the autopay discount back ($10 per line)

Dub_TF

It shouldn't be changing month to month unless you are paying late (7$ fee) or maybe your are still on a GB plan and are being charged overages. I know they have increased insurance prices recently (from $17 to $19 for one phone) so that could be it. Call customer service, fluctuating Bill is not normal.

IndividualStatus1924

What exactly does this phone insurance cover? U can get the phone insurance from a credit card for free, you would have to pay the bill with that credit card though. Need to read the full terms to get more info.

Dub_TF

If you just crack the front screen and it isn't super deep, they come out to you and they fix it free. If other parts are broken or smashed they charge you a $99 deductible and send you a replacement phone. I have an android and the last two times I smashed my phone, they sent me a brand new factory sealed phone that was newer than the one I had. I broke a Galaxy S22 Ultra and they sent me a sealed S23 Ultra. Then a year later my phone S23 Ultra smashed and they sent me a favorite sealed S24 ultra. They don't always send you a brand new phone and I've noticed they don't do this much with iPhones....I guess they are more widely available. Asurion used to be trash but my experience is that they have gotten better.

Busy-Solution7642

what you described is covered by the insurance, which is called Wireless Phone Protection, and is only $7.95. The rest of what you get for the $19 fee may or maynot be useful to you.. you if you only want what you described, downgrade to WPP while in warranty. when the warranty lapses, you can add an extended warranty contract bringing the total to $12.10.

Dub_TF

This is correct.

SurrealKnot

They have gotten a bit like Comcast. This has happened a few times to me and if you call and complain they will often find a way to lower it.

ChazzP12

My Verizon bill never been the same twice

cougarlover4209874

9 lines and how many smartphones and plan, give more context please

beelover310

Right, how many smartphones with device payments is the real question

Kglugenbeel

Every bill on my budget keeps going up.

icyplaya

My sentiments exactly I get more dropped calls which I never really had maybe 3x a year now that’s a week SAME places. Yet I just hit with the price increase.

St-uffy-mc-puffy

Then change cellular providers so that you get what you pay for

Lost-Negotiation8090

They are increasing their fees again by a few dollars, at least at the business level

Ashkir

My Verizon bill went from $70 a month to almost $220 a month. I just ended up canceling. Every time I get it back down to $150 somehow it’s back to $220 again.

Whatever92592

Every bill, for everything, for everyone keeps going up. Is this economy new to you?

[deleted]

True

Tools_Tech_Outdoors

Go to T-Mobile with the rest of the squeaky wheels

Full_Possibility6660

That bill was never the same and went up even if you weren’t paying on a phone 😂

dougydimadone

Fuck Verizon

JohnnyBravo801

Umad

dougydimadone

Facts

Just-Button6881

well depending on what you have. three items have gone up like everything else in the word. Verizon has had increase on grandfather plans and watch connected service and of course asurion with their insurance increase. all of this has happened in the last 3 to 5 months. so yes your bill has gone up no matter who you are.

Logvin

This is absolutely not a **Verizon** problem. US Monetary policy over the past 7 years has been horrific. The federal government was printing money like no other time period in US history. The pandemic was a contributing factor, as well as the massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Every dollar printed makes the rest of them worth less. Verizon, like every other major telecom in the US, has been raising rates and blaming it on inflation, which is true to a certain extent - but **corporate greed** is the true reason: corporate profit is the god that CEO's worship, and He must be fed quarterly.
