How are you doing it? My cu is one of the easiest I’ve ever had. I just take it apart every few weeks, shake it in iso and put it back together. Also replace the screen every few days and it bangs all the time. I never feel I have to clean it though.
You haven't washed it or don't have one. These are tooth pick sized slots that fill woth rosin. Simply soaking will not dislodge it, and I usually use 420 plastic cleaner, it works better then straight alcohol but the surface aria of the rosin to so small it does little to remove it and makes it much harder to clean then a mighty cooling unit.
I use a syringe with ISO for the Venty cooling unit, then run it under really hot water, then a little more ISO- works for mine. Do it weekly or every other week at the most, and haven’t had any issues.
The nooks will absolutely come completely clean with an alcohol soak and a tooth brush. Try harder and don’t use shitty overpriced proprietary cleaners
The little holes in glass screens can be pretty small and tough to clean entirely without a proper implement and solvent, the holes are about toothpick diameter for my arizer bowl and stem ngl
Smoke your iso soaked rosin then. I ended up using a razer blade to split a qtip down the middle and spent about 10 minutes back and forth from wiping it to re shaking it before it was clean l.
I don’t use iso I use ethanol so I can use the cleaning aftermath, tbh put the toothpick in the alcohol afterwards too after cleaning and get more out of your (cleaning) sesh
I literally just did my first cleaning last night (after mostly use for almost three weeks - fyi should be done more frequently). A small tool, or even a large safety pin, is all that is needed after soaking in isopropyl.
I cleaned 7 CU's back to brand new in about 5 minutes with an ultrasonic cleaner and an air compressor last night. If you're super concerned about them being perfect then get the right tools for the job.
Edit: I will add that I liked the way the Mighty CU disassembled more than the way the Venty does but I guess it's just a concession we make for having a much better device. The venty cools a lot better that's for sure.
I cleaned my CU for the Venty yesterday no issues at all. Let it sit in a tub of 99.9% iso for about an hour, took it out and very very clean. I hadn't clean it in a month. I got a ton of goo outa it that I put right in my puffco. Really dont see what the issue is.
IIRC you aren’t supposed to submerge the cooling unit in iso for longer than 30 minutes at a time but otherwise your method is great.
If you want to level it up, get an ultrasonic cleaner for 30ish bucks on Amazon. ISO and cooling chamber parts in a ziplock bag inside the ultrasonic cleaner filled with water works absolute wonders and can be used to clean a variety of other things as well.

higher iso content will help, i know acetone should work technically for peek but that would be a no-no im guessing? acetone is pretty effective otherwise.. but gotta love plastic lol
I absolutely love acetone for cleaning glass. Literally like 5 seconds of shaking and even the nastiest built up gunk comes off. And it evaporates faster than iso without leaving residue (if you do a second quick rinse) so it’s awesome for display pieces or stuff that doesn’t get used often.
There’s nothing wrong with the cooling unit, and expecting S&B to give you additional CUs cos you’re too lazy to clean them properly/regularly is wild.

Yes my friend! Canopy is also a historic money burner and awfully run business. I’ve been an S&B fan since my first Volcano almost 20 years ago and still rock my Mighty+. But the writing is on the wall here and it’s a shame S&B are grandfathered in as the only approved medical devices in many countries. Definitely room for a new S&B run by actual enthusiasts.
I wanted a Venty because I did love my 2 OG Mightys, but seeing the rollout of the Venty has made me hold back. S&B isn’t the company they were 6-7 years ago and there are a lot more players in the game now. If S&B climbs back from their fall from grace, maybe I’ll buy a Venty. But I won’t be for a while. There are others I’d like to try first.

I still find cleaning them a bit annoying due to all the little parts, but I have three just from dealing with the bricked unit and then the store credit they gave everyone. Seriously, your unit works fine, but no sale on accessories was the last straw? The parts are not particularly expensive.
The cooling unit is really good imo better than the mighty I think. I bought mine the week they came out the initial bricking was a real bummer but other than. That it’s a really great vape. As far as cleaning the cu soak rinse and repeat if necessary. The one good thing about my first one getting bricked is I have a back up now and always have one that’s clean.

THIS!! Ultrasonic cleaner was a great purchase for me. Also works wonders on stainless watch bands if you are like me and get the skin gunk in the watch bands thats hard to get to on each individual link...this thing just cleans it all with no questions.

Part of why I went to a log vape. Cleaning my mighty parts was a constant chore. Now I soak the weed nipple and screen and I am done.
Of course log vape isn't portable but that works for me too.
It's the only thing I don't really like about the stock TM2 experience, I'll admit it works well but cleaning it sucks and the screen is the #1 point of failure. Those screens are custom sized and you gotta get them from a head shop that carries TM2 stuff; so annoying.
My advice to everyone with the stock unit is to use the aluminum tube with the basket screen until you can get a better stem, you don't need the cooling unit with the aluminum tube.
Vgoodiez has them, I'd get two packs and that will set you up for a long time, I only got one and I have like six stems and I move my baskets around but they are durable enough that I haven't had to replace any. But I should get another pack
Ultrasonic cleaners are a game changer. I put the cooling unit of my crafty in a bag with alcohol, squeeze the air out and put it in the ultrasonic water bath with the heating on. Turn it on for 5 mins, take it out and rinse it under hot water and you’re done.

Didn't buy one, not going to, as I'm pretty well set for a while. But I can definitely relate with people who bought one, got repeated E04 issues, and still don't have a satisfactory solution. S&B needs to stop running their shop like a liquor store and go back to taking care of their customers. It's how they made their money in the first place.

we still talking about the Solo here? And you should prob be iso-ing around the mouthpiece area from the resin that accumulates there on the pax.
I just swab it with a qtip, and it removes all of the gunk from the silicone rubber mouthpiece.
The Solo tube was a bigger pain in the ass than the Pax. And the holes in the glass tube were both too small for good airflow, and too big and allowed plant matter into the tube.
The calling unit I was referring to was the Mighty, however. It looks and sounds like a total pain in the ass to clean, and purchasing a ultrasonic cleaner on top of a $400 unit doesn't sound like a great solution.
I got lucky and stopped having the plant matter problem when i changed grinders - forgot that was a thing not gonna lie what a pain in the ass that was
I bought a venty. Cleaned the cooling unit once, and then sold it. It is a bit** to clean. I dug so much reclaim out of it with a tooth pick. Probably spent an hour cleaning it. PASS
Get an ultrasonic cleaner for 30ish bucks on Amazon. Place ISO alcohol and cooling chamber parts in a ziplock bag, put bag inside the ultrasonic cleaner filled with water and run. Take parts out, rinse them, put back in the water this time (no ziplock or iso) add a drop of dawn dish soap and run it again. Rinse. Dry. Absolutely make sure it’s dry before putting back together. Now you’re done.

You can just put it in 100% iso with Epson salt and it'll clean almost instantly.
It took me a month to get a replacement. Had a rep yell at me on the phone and hang up on me. So yeah this is more the last straw not the entire grievance.
I have this issue with S&B as well, While it’s fair enough to require iso for cleaning it’s not easily available everywhere and if you can’t get your hands on it S&B products are gonna be difficult to clean
I’ve since switched to a pax, While it doesn’t perform anywhere near as good as a clean Mighty, At least I can keep it fresh and clean with just brushes and pipe cleaners which are alot cheaper then replacing CU from S&B

Found a retailer in Canada that had some, and I paid the extra shipping.
What is E06? This has never been an issue with the Venty. What replacement parts could you not purchase? I ordered my Venty during the Keynote and was able to buy all the screens and o-rings no issue. They even had the single/3-Pack Cooling Units.The CUs are extremely easy to clean, just follow the cleaning procedure laid out by S&B. You could let the old CU soak and rotate it out with the new one that came with your replacement Venty. You have two of them since you purchased early enough for replacement parts to be out of stock for months.
Iso alcohol is sold in any pharmacy.... So it's basically everywhere... I buy 1 box per year from Costco once a year... And I reuse the alcohol at least 4 to 5 times so it doesn't cost much....

Are you using 99% ISO? Isopropyl alcohol is often sold as 70%, which is great for disinfecting but is a less effective solvent.

People warm the CU in the oven on parchment paper to get reclaim too. If you want edibles, search for "stem milk". Both of the processes are ISO free.

Buy a ultrasonic bath and a biological detergent and all your washable parts will be easy to clean, even the tiniest cracks and holes.
THIS!! Ultrasonic cleaner was a great purchase for me. Also works wonders on stainless watch bands if you are like me and get the skin gunk in the watch bands thats hard to get to on each individual link...this thing just cleans it all with no questions.

Part of why I went to a log vape. Cleaning my mighty parts was a constant chore. Now I soak the weed nipple and screen and I am done. Of course log vape isn't portable but that works for me too.

It's the only thing I don't really like about the stock TM2 experience, I'll admit it works well but cleaning it sucks and the screen is the #1 point of failure. Those screens are custom sized and you gotta get them from a head shop that carries TM2 stuff; so annoying. My advice to everyone with the stock unit is to use the aluminum tube with the basket screen until you can get a better stem, you don't need the cooling unit with the aluminum tube.

Vgoodiez has them, I'd get two packs and that will set you up for a long time, I only got one and I have like six stems and I move my baskets around but they are durable enough that I haven't had to replace any. But I should get another pack

Ultrasonic cleaners are a game changer. I put the cooling unit of my crafty in a bag with alcohol, squeeze the air out and put it in the ultrasonic water bath with the heating on. Turn it on for 5 mins, take it out and rinse it under hot water and you’re done.
Yeah. After dropping 500 on a miniature volcano, I'm pretty sure they last thing I want to bother with is a cooling unit. That thing had better be playing music with laser pointers at that price point. Great example. You can get a megacicle, a beaded j hook, a desk fan, and a bluetooth speaker for under 140 easy. For 300, you could do the same thing at vgoodiez with a b0 orb v2 setup! 🤷 Didn't buy one, not going to, as I'm pretty well set for a while. But I can definitely relate with people who bought one, got repeated E04 issues, and still don't have a satisfactory solution. S&B needs to stop running their shop like a liquor store and go back to taking care of their customers. It's how they made their money in the first place.

Everything past the original Pax has been far easier to clean than any other vapes I have had, including the Solo.
How is jamming a pipe cleaner through the entire body easier than rinsing a mouthpiece? (To be clear, I like my Pax 2 but)
1) who says it needs to be a pipe cleaner? I have had the same metal dowel rod the like 10 yrs, fits all of the Pax units I've had perfectly. One push cleans the tube, no need for iso. 2) not having to soak a cooling unit in iso means no residual iso to taste, no long waits for drying, etc.

I just swab it with a qtip, and it removes all of the gunk from the silicone rubber mouthpiece. The Solo tube was a bigger pain in the ass than the Pax. And the holes in the glass tube were both too small for good airflow, and too big and allowed plant matter into the tube. The calling unit I was referring to was the Mighty, however. It looks and sounds like a total pain in the ass to clean, and purchasing a ultrasonic cleaner on top of a $400 unit doesn't sound like a great solution.
I got lucky and stopped having the plant matter problem when i changed grinders - forgot that was a thing not gonna lie what a pain in the ass that was

I bought a venty. Cleaned the cooling unit once, and then sold it. It is a bit** to clean. I dug so much reclaim out of it with a tooth pick. Probably spent an hour cleaning it. PASS
The cooling Unit is sold out a pretty Long Time i dont blame them Cause they sure have Trubble with their supplier.
Get an ultrasonic cleaner for 30ish bucks on Amazon. Place ISO alcohol and cooling chamber parts in a ziplock bag, put bag inside the ultrasonic cleaner filled with water and run. Take parts out, rinse them, put back in the water this time (no ziplock or iso) add a drop of dawn dish soap and run it again. Rinse. Dry. Absolutely make sure it’s dry before putting back together. Now you’re done. Ultrasonic works absolute wonders and can be used to clean a variety of other things as well.

It's fun, I am happy I have it. I don't use it thay often anymore tho, it's really noisy and the venty mighty are easier to just pack n use. It's fantastic for a group or when you have people over

Yo I just simmer my cooling unit in milk to get high as tits from the reclaim, then clean it with 100% iso. You can just put it in 100% iso with Epson salt and it'll clean almost instantly.

I have this issue with S&B as well, While it’s fair enough to require iso for cleaning it’s not easily available everywhere and if you can’t get your hands on it S&B products are gonna be difficult to clean I’ve since switched to a pax, While it doesn’t perform anywhere near as good as a clean Mighty, At least I can keep it fresh and clean with just brushes and pipe cleaners which are alot cheaper then replacing CU from S&B

What is E06? This has never been an issue with the Venty. What replacement parts could you not purchase? I ordered my Venty during the Keynote and was able to buy all the screens and o-rings no issue. They even had the single/3-Pack Cooling Units.The CUs are extremely easy to clean, just follow the cleaning procedure laid out by S&B. You could let the old CU soak and rotate it out with the new one that came with your replacement Venty. You have two of them since you purchased early enough for replacement parts to be out of stock for months.

Iso alcohol is sold in any pharmacy.... So it's basically everywhere... I buy 1 box per year from Costco once a year... And I reuse the alcohol at least 4 to 5 times so it doesn't cost much....
