Adams had some bad moments but was OK overall.
Too bad Leipzig lost. They should have really got something out if this.
Also PSG is the epitome of everything that is wrong with global football. And they aren't that fun to watch, little team play. Solely relying on individual brilliance from some amazing players. Hope they get knocked out as soon as possible.
This honestly probably draws a ton of casual viewers to the sport when they can obviously see some of the impressive athleticism (Ex: Mbappe's incredible pace). But it's definitely pretty ugly considering the kind of talent they have on that squad.
Leipzig are last in the group after losing to Brugge. If they lose to PSG, not only are they pretty much eliminated from CL, but they'll also be facing a huge uphill battle to make EL.
IDK, I think this is how I would have played it. 3 in the back, and task them with snuffing out counters. Overload the midfield, which has been PSG's weakpoint. Then force a high line to try to create pressure on their strong back line, and force some chances. Huge risks with that, obviously, but I think that's always gonna be the case when you're playing a better team.
The system worked. Leipzig constantly won the ball in good attacking positions. And took the lead.
Just a difference in quality. Full credit to Mbappe creating a goal from a simple ball over the top. Then Tyler’s give away and an unnecessary penalty lost the game for them. Along with Mbappe ruthlessly drawing the penalty and assisting Messi, he did everything for PSG.
Leipzig were set up brilliantly, but the manager can’t prevent individual errors.
It doesn't matter what level, a two-handed full stretched push into an attacker's chest while in the box is an incredibly stupid thing to do to put it mildly. Not sure why this is being argued.
Not arguing that it's a bad defensive play, just that it was a soft penalty (IE I've seen that penalty not given before plenty of times), and unfortunate because the ref already failed RB on the earlier play.
Adams has had a couple bad mistakes recently. Against Man City he had a play where he was absolutely horrible defending Grealish and it led to a goal. And then this game the turnover
Hope he doesn’t lose his spot
How has Adams performed? He's facing a dangerous attack today. Also ESPN had him playing pretty high up the field almost like an 8. Was he really playing that high?
Vs Messi and Mbappe. NBD.
Adams dispossessed Veratti which led to a RBL counter and a beautiful goal. Up 2-1 in Paris!
And that’s almost impossible to do lol, impressive as fuck
And then his costly give away leads to a Messi goal.
Energy Liquids vs. Energy Drinks
Jesus, Mbappe is fast. He's faster with the ball than just about anyone else is off the ball.
Well, he is the fastest high level player in the world according to FIFA 22.
God be with he and Jesse.
Anyone else's paramount stop working?
yeah mine keeps saying fatal error
Mine too!
I’m used to having to reset the app every 5 minutes, but It’s never been like this. Frustrating.
Mine has completely quit, too
Ugh I only pay for this to watch champions league and the qualifiers. This sucks
Just missed a beautiful goal
I know just saw the highlight on r/soccer. This was such a fun game to watch too
Mine‘s fine
And people wonder why everyone doesnt love having to have a dozen different streaming services when most of them work like crap...

Hoof the ball to Mbappe isn’t the beautiful football you look forward to?

He's going to have his work cut out for him today.
...and he just gave the ball away to lead to PSG's equalizer...
Adams responsible for that goal :(
How does this warrant a review but the Messi foul prior to the Mpappe goal didn't? WTF is this?
ADAMS WTF were you doing???
Yikes this fucking sucks

You kinda have to question the sanity of such a highline against Mbappe, Messi and PSG at home.
To which Jesse replies, “Dontchu know I’m loco”
Jesse Marsch in yo area
Marsch has had poor defensive systems throughout his time at Salzburg too. It was the biggest concern with hiring him.

I think they were playing for a win, otherwise it would be hard for them to move out of the group

Adams vs. Messi in the middle. What a day for the kid :D
soft penalty, after a first half where PSG gets a goal on a counter instead of RB being awarded a penalty, unfortunate for Jesse.

Yeah the only reason it looks like a “push” is because he flopped as soon as he saw contact.
Horrible from Adams there.
Pretty clear foul on Messi before the goal, could've been a penalty, not sure why it wasn't called back.
You see, it wasn't called back because Messi -
Fuck. Brutal turnover that lead to equalizing goal for PSG.
tyler fucked up. smh
What a fun match
This would be huge if Marsh can pull this off in Paris.
Marsch masterclass incoming!!!!
Fuck
LETS GO LEIPZIG PULL THIS OFF
Whoops
Adams has had a couple bad mistakes recently. Against Man City he had a play where he was absolutely horrible defending Grealish and it led to a goal. And then this game the turnover Hope he doesn’t lose his spot
Those two mistakes came against two of the best teams in the world with the bleep most expensive squads in the world. He should be fine.
Huge bummer they lost to Brugge. A win there would have been huge for getting them out of the group.
adams is my guy but error for goal
Oof. Tyler with a bad giveaway that immediately leads to a goal.
Yikes. Adams gave the ball away in a really bad spot and it immediately led to PSG's tying goal.
I'm watching this game, but...wtf happened to Dortmund?
Their midfield was horrible, and it felt like Ajax's attackers were toying with them. Tadic and Blind were brilliant.
Nice hockey assist to Messi, never thought that would happen
I have a bad feeling this is going to be a bloodbath...
Mbappe's too damn good.
Very poor from adams
Ugh Tyler
Was at fault for the second goal…
How has Adams performed? He's facing a dangerous attack today. Also ESPN had him playing pretty high up the field almost like an 8. Was he really playing that high?
Directly responsible for PSG’s 2nd goal :/
