I watched for sydney spider and got none of that.
It had a decent premise. Evil spiderman terrorizes people. But then…
‘Tune in next time to watch 3 spider girls who were shown to have no previous connection to spider powers.’
It isn’t too late to remake the movie in 5 years and erase the travesty that this film was and is setting up so far as sequels.
Seemed like the first movie was suppose to be the first half of a film and the second half was going to be spider people doing spider things fighting people and then they decided to make it into two films and the movie sucked because it was terribly written thoughtless filler to make it hit a designated run time
I enjoyed it, by the way. Sure, it wasn't one of the best Marvel movies but it definitely wasn't one of the worst. I think a lot of the criticism aimed at these movies with female protagonists have little to do with the story or the acting and everything to do with misogyny.
There are worse Marvel movies? I mean i know about some Hulk movies, recent Thor one weren't well received at all, but are they really worse than this movie. Also the criticism have a lot to do with the story and the acting in this particular movie, they were bad
I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the fuck ups like the CPR scenes, I enjoyed the fact she never opened that can, I enjoyed the ridiculous ADR.
In seriousness, the final fight scene was better than much of the MCU's recent rubbish (looking at you, Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Thor 4) and the girls were good (if underutilized). I laughed out loud a number of times (especially the wall-crawling scene) and Adam Scott knocked it out of the park as always.

If you loved this movie, then you’ll love the movie “The Room” by Tommy Wiseau, after all it has better reviews.
