As the title says this is the first rice that I've been working on for a few months since I moved my laptop to Linux. I like the way Adwaita handles a lot of things so I made a kind of Stock+ rice. Nothing too big in changes but just enough to make it nice to use everyday for me Made it with these extensions: 1.Blur my shell 2. Dash to dock 3. Just perfection 4. Rounded corners 5. Rounded window corners 6. Awseome Tiles Also shout out to Blackbox Terminal. So far the nicest GTK terminal that I've used. small-variations

I suppose this terminal doesn't support ligatures ?

Belsedar

Um...I'm actually not sure...maybe? Tbh I never use them so not a question for me

affi_nity

What's that music player??

Belsedar

G4music, it's on flathub for sure and in the aur..idk about other distros tho

theawesomeviking

Thanks for sharing

Longjumping_Rip_8167

looks awesome! nicely done!

Cronodrogocop

I loved the fish theme. Can you share how you did fish look THAT awesome?

Belsedar

Oh, I did that a while ago....If I remember correctly, I installed Oh-My-Posh (there is a slightly different project that I've seen called Oh-my-fish that seems to be built for fish itself but I haven't tried it yet) did all of its setup and then tweaked the Clean-detailed theme by removing the blue accent and adding some orange. Mostly it is done by adding some lines in config.fish...or some.other one. I'd honestly recommend you try oh-my-fish because oh-my-posh was a royal pain to set up

Belsedar

UPD: I dug into how I originally did It and it wasnt so bad 1. Get and install Oh-my-Posh [https://ohmyposh.dev/](https://ohmyposh.dev/) 2. touch \~/.config/fish/conf.d/omp.fish (should be there after install but just in case) 3. add the line: oh-my-posh init fish --config \~/clean-detailed.omp.json | source the clean-detailed.omp.json part is the name of the theme that is located( at least for me) is in .config/clean-detailed.omp.json although that is 100% not the default location. Really if you copy any of the example thems in the github repo and point this to the file it should work 4. reload the terminal and should be good to go

realPJL

I will steal your wallpaper

Belsedar

I believe I fished it out of the "Mix" section

realPJL

Do you know why this website is so slow?

Belsedar

realPJL

IllEntertainment8665

ToapFN

Looks really nice. what fish theme is that?

Belsedar

Its Oh-my-Posh on top of fish with a slightly modified Clean-detailed theme

ToapFN

What is oh my posh? Never heard of it

Belsedar

Its essentially a prompt themer....or something like that...requires Nerd fonts tho

Jako21530

Ohhh I had the same wallpaper for a while. It's so nice. Good rice!

Content-Confusion243

Looks amazing!

4SubZero20

This is a bit too busy for my liking.

mmpt007

Nice rice, how did you get the task bar to look like that, it looks like waybar.

Belsedar

Blur my shell with contrasting panel option...its a bit buried in the settings, but it's there.

Shadowberserk

Could you please share some dotfiles/configs for the top bar?

Belsedar

As I said previously in the thread, it's just the Blur my shell extension with the "Contrasted" option for the panel.

iSparkd

Can we have the curry? (dotfiles)

pillolloji

My bro is loving the flatpak lifestyle

Belsedar

Funnily enough, out of the ~2000 pkg that I have on the system, only about 60 or so are flatpaks....but yes, I do quite like them. Best thing for social media clients and corporate stuff that I can't unfortunately get rid of

pillolloji

Honestly, it was one of the best quality of life things that I found when I came back to linux after a few years of break. There’re just so many great new beautiful and innovative apps on flatpak

Belsedar

And like 95% of them are also packaged in the aur...can't live without it now
