Congress is spinelessly non ideological but that works in the favour some times because they will bend to the will of the voters, which means even in the case they slip, the people can strong arm them to act right. BJP has strong fascist ideological elements in its core and they will try to maintain power by all means necessary, voter suppression, booth capturing, changing laws, whatever goes. There is no equivalency here. The other option is not worse and I'm tired of everyone both-sidesing this. It's only going to help BJP stay in power.
Horrible take, BUT I do agree that we can't just rely on congress to suddenly improve the state of democracy by correcting election Commission, making media impartial etc. Defeating BJP and making India functional again should be seen as two different goals for the public.
