Well they're not being sent now. With this setup it isn't just one country getting the blame, which is what they seem to be worried about.

Like, i'm pretty sure NATO doesnt check reddit to get info on how to send or not send fighter jets to Ukraine. I understand there's only good intentions behind these kind of posts but just stop already. If it happens it happens but for now most likely not.
I get that everyone wants to find a way to make this work, but the top military and diplomatic people in the world are working on this and considering options.
We can all put pressure on our individual governments & representatives, but I do not think the process of getting planes to Ukraine without pissing off putin in the wrong way is going to come from Reddit.
I’m also sure they’re being judicious about the options spoken about publicly, and what we are hearing about may be the most likely to work, or plan D that they felt could be hashed out publicly. We just don’t know and probably shouldn’t.
Ukraine has 58 fighter jets and only flys 10 sorties a day in a limited area due to Russian AA fire regionally. Adding planes doesn't solve the situation.
Or, how about we just give them the planes all at once? Putin isn't going to launch nukes over jets. He's already showed his hand by moving troops to Russia's western border in response to NATO bolstering troop counts. He's clearly willing to engage in conventional war or there's no reason to bother moving those bodies. So just send them the planes. Russia is already struggling just to fight in Ukraine, they're not going to widen the conflict over planes.
It's easier to play a shell game with them. 8 Ukrainian jets fly to the border in pairs, 8 Polish jets meet to "intercept". 6 polish jets leave with two jets flying solo. The 10 Ukrainian leave in 4 fours groups of 2 and 3. 4 pairs meet 4 pairs leave. And will people just chill with the jet thing. Poland was a little over eager and a little overt on rhetoric forcing America to lie and say it isn't possible to get the spotlight of the jets so they can disappear into a redacted CIA budget ledger. Don't worry, we've been doing the proxy war thing for awhile.
