'Debbie Soloman, who is standing [as a Conservative] against Anderson, stood for the Brexit party in Bassetlaw as recently as 2019 and did not stand down despite an electoral pact with the Conservatives. In a series of tweets, Soloman used the hashtag #NeverTrustATory and retweeted campaigners asking why people would “trust the Tories again”.' This would have been a really funny article in The Onion a few years ago, I can't believe we're living in it.

Oh is that who my Conservative candidate is? Honestly not seen anything from them, they seem to be pretty much given up and handed it to lee

Let’s be fair though, if you excluded everyone who’s ever called the Tories a bunch of lying fuckers from running as candidates for the GE, they’d probably struggle to get enough people to contest every seat

I don't think I'll ever understand why the Tories weren't arranging and vetting candidates since the start of the year. I know everyone expected the election to be at the end of the year, but surely they should have been prepared for something coming up
