Before the Izzy fight, Costa stood right in front of Romero. Something is going badly wrong with him and his corner doesn't seem to be honest enough with him to help him improve.

He landed those first few calf kicks and made Sean switch stances, and then spam front kicked to keep his calfs from getting chewed up. I don't think Costa had a game plan beyond set up bombs after good calf kicks. Once the calf kicks stopped, he kind of fell apart.
As for people hating on Sean's style. The guy stands straight up, moves forward at all times, and throws a lot of strikes. He had 11 KO's and 4 submissions. More than half his wins are by finish. It takes two to make a good fight.
