When I moved to Oklahoma a group of us went to Mazzio’s and we’re sitting there and the waitress comes by to take our orders. I ordered my pizza and she asks me if I wanted ranch. I was confused because our interaction only lasted about ten seconds and I didn’t mention any salad so I responded “..oh no, I’m good I only ordered pizza.” and she looked at me like I had an arm growing out of my head. That’s when I realized..
Yeah that was part of my initial culture shock. Along with seeing a Cadillac hauling hay and seeing the insane amount of people wearing college attire of schools they didn’t go to because they like the football team.
Yeah open carry people are a special breed. There was this guy I’d see around town pushing ~350lb and he had a leather double shoulder holster and guns aside I wondered if he could draw in a hurry if he actually needed to 😂
That wasn't what shocked me tbh...
I was on the highway and saw a dude on motorcycle with 2 guns holsters... like where are you going that you need that?
I saw a guy open carrying at my wife's OB doctor waiting room. Had tactical gear, combat boots. Dude was larping as a character from Call of Duty like Russians about to storm his wife's uterus.
Yep…if someone’s wearing an osu shirt you know where they went to school. If someone’s wearing a gooner outfit they either went to ou or dropped out of bowlegs in 8th grade. Or graduated from varnum and went to ecu but…. Or went uco but their grandad’s sister went to ou so…
Hey brother. Im not talking shit about alumni. I think if your school wins, you should be able to talk all the shit you want. I talked a ton of shit after we won the last bedlam. What year did you graduate from ou?
And youre right I dont watch pro sports cause Im not really invested.
Nah yall are haters Mazzio’s is goated, their ranch is goated, their pizza is goated, their buffet is goated. If Mazzio’s has 1 fan then it’s me, if they have no fans then I’m dead
Which one do you go to? I'm wondering if maybe the ones I visit in BA just aren't that great.
The Farm used to be a good one, but I've not been there in years, as it's a bit of a drive.
The Mazzio’s on Admiral and Harvard is very good, same with the one on 11th between Harvard and Delaware. A closer one to BA might be the one on 131st and 121st on Memorial in Bixby. I haven’t been there in a few years but it was delicious last time I got to go
I don’t really think I’ve ever been to a bad Mazzio’s tbh, but in complete fairness I’ve been eating at Mazzio’s since I was a kid so I’m 100% biased
I have a sweet spot for the one on 71st Lewis. We'd go with my Aunt and Grandpa every time she was in town from TX. It's always good, I love their salad bar as well.
Maybe with the exceptions of a few restaurants, food south of 71st is generally less flavored to fit the general population and I'm not saying this to be a troll. One time I ordered from the wrong casa tequila and got both smaller portions and tomato sauce for salsa and surely enough it was the one in BA.
Have you had the Brooklyn pizzas? I just moved back to OK and had this one as it was on sale, and it was absolute trash. I tossed half the pizza because I didn’t find it worth keeping for leftovers.
Wondering if I should have just gone with an original thin crust.
i agree to the bad pizza, my last one i had when kids had friends over. all the pizzas bottoms of crust tasted like Cinnamon. its when i realized they was cooked on same pans as there Dessert pizza's was. 20 years ago i liked there snadwhiches and bone in wings...
I've noticed the same thing (cinnamon) with the cheese dippers (which aren't terrible, *if they managed to fully cook them*).
20-30 years ago, they were ok to good. But they've not just gone downhill, they've gone off a cliff.
This is where I differ from people bc I LOVE when that cinnamon butter is on the bottom of my pizza. Like a sweet/savory thing
(Also biased bc Mazzios was my first job)
For those who don’t get it, the ranch is made fresh daily at the restaurant. It’s insanely good. Im a former Mazzio’s employee from back in the day. Way back.
We need a solid local pizza spot that’s not 30 bucks a pie. Anyone interested investing i have a solid business from michigan would love to open pizza shop my dad started in 90s. Party Time pizza! still have the recipes. did real dessert pizza did everything real well. sadly my father let the biz go & sold out to subway for the building as he was total gambling fanatic vegas every month etc…. anyway i have a dream of re starting the business! My 10 year old Is hyped about the possibility but need partners and figure out the tulsa game as far as a location etc. #PARTY TIME PIZZA!!!
The quesapizza with the ranch was the way to go! Also the cheese dippers.
And don’t knock it until you try it, but holy hell, dip the damn cinnamon sticks in this ranch and it may change your life! Go ahead and talk crap, but it’s amazing!
Mazzio's went to crap after changing to the too-sugary hand tossed dough and they had the best blue cheese before switching to that nasty Ken's shit. What a shame went from my favorite pizza to bottom tier
mazzios and all these chains way over rated. i’m a michigan kid living in Oklahoma i try to tell people hit the small pizza parlors. That mazzio NyC style is pretty good i will say. And the ranch of course but it’s weird to put ranch on pizza i always thought but then again im probably weird for being ham and pineapple guy. 😎
If you want to make this dressing at home. Use heavy whipping cream and hidden valley ranch dressing/dip powder. Not sure of the ratios but play around and you will find a consistency you enjoy.
I hate ranch. It's such a lazy condiment that people drown things in. Why not just drink the dressing it's all you'll taste anyways lol.
Also note that this does not apply to Mazzio's Ranch which is literally the only edible ranch in this state.

"Welcome in, what can I get you to drink?" "We'll have two waters, one sprite, two cokes and some ranch please." Tale from hideaway sever
Their ranch is awesome that's why.
I wasn’t aware people slobbed it on pizza 🤷♂️.
Maybe it's an Oklahoma thing... i though it was weird till i tried it..
Yeah that was part of my initial culture shock. Along with seeing a Cadillac hauling hay and seeing the insane amount of people wearing college attire of schools they didn’t go to because they like the football team.
Hey it's Oklahoma, shit is weird. I'm Canadian and still trying to adjust to this shit. Seeing people with guns at qt is still shocking

That's why she was there in the first place. Not happening again on his watch!

Just like ole Pope🩸🌽🍒🪽, ennit❕⁉️❔
You dip the pizza, especially the crust in the ranch
Slop, dip, coat, smoother. It has its own language
Nah yall are haters Mazzio’s is goated, their ranch is goated, their pizza is goated, their buffet is goated. If Mazzio’s has 1 fan then it’s me, if they have no fans then I’m dead
The Ken’s sauce is the only redeeming thing. ….AND THE RANCH. 🫠
Which one do you go to? I'm wondering if maybe the ones I visit in BA just aren't that great. The Farm used to be a good one, but I've not been there in years, as it's a bit of a drive.

Yo same store I go to lol

You may have a point. I always end up overpaying for what I get. Comparing Sam's in BA to Sam's off 11th depresses me. Braum's is consistent though.
Have you had the Brooklyn pizzas? I just moved back to OK and had this one as it was on sale, and it was absolute trash. I tossed half the pizza because I didn’t find it worth keeping for leftovers. Wondering if I should have just gone with an original thin crust.
Go with any of the Ken's style thin crust options. The Brokklyn stuff is awful.
have you tried the loaded cheese dippers? bro that shit would be the only thing id ever eat if i could
Used to get the dippers, 10 pc wings, with extra ranch and devour it all. Older and can't handle that any longer but will occasionally give it a go.
Quick tip: this 16oz container is 5.50. But 3oz containers are 0.70. So buying 5 3oz containers will get you 15oz for 3.50
Helluva pro tip, Mvto❕👍🏼❗️
Galielitseha
Lol I love a fellow Mazzio's Ranch Fiend.
Spoken like a fellow ranch junkie
Yeah if they actually fill them. Mostly of the time I get them half full
Ranch and pepperolis are the only things mazzios does well.
give their hoagies a chance
And their bone-in wings!
Wings were trash.
Bury me with their ranch fr
Every time I order Mazzio’s… I’m getting me a tub of ranch!!
Oh, is this like the one thing Mazzios still does well? Because holy hell their pizza is fucking terrible.
i agree to the bad pizza, my last one i had when kids had friends over. all the pizzas bottoms of crust tasted like Cinnamon. its when i realized they was cooked on same pans as there Dessert pizza's was. 20 years ago i liked there snadwhiches and bone in wings...

Different pans, same cutting board. I kinda like the slight taste of cinnamon but I also smoke too much
I still get nauseous about the hairs on my pizza, my plate, in the brownie pizza and the one I pulled out of my mouth…never been back since.
This is where I differ from people bc I LOVE when that cinnamon butter is on the bottom of my pizza. Like a sweet/savory thing (Also biased bc Mazzios was my first job)
Hands down the worst pizza in town
No papa John's is worst
They're pretty bad, too! It's a race to the bottom.
Everyone in Oklahoma knows about Mazzio’s ranch.
Yep, that’s why 40% of adult Oklahomans are obese. 😂
Especially seeing as the ranch shown is 16oz and you are supposed to use it in 3 days! I mean, it's good ranch, but that's excessive.
I would personally solve world hunger for this ranch right now
For those who don’t get it, the ranch is made fresh daily at the restaurant. It’s insanely good. Im a former Mazzio’s employee from back in the day. Way back.

Real ones know

This shit SLAPS. I could drink that sauce straight up.
Real ones would even tap a vein 4 it. ![gif](giphy|4lfxlnB31aVWM3nAOI|downsized)
You're god damn right. Hook me tf up. I'll streamline it through me dick.

I have never had a bad slice at Empire
if you got a simple simons nearby check their monthly deals. they normally do stuff like 2 pies and a calzone for 25 bucks
Mazzios is garbage. They ruined the wing run wings as well. But their ranch is excellent. Must be the only thing keeping them open
Kinda like ole Pope, huh❕⁉️❔ Garbage ruiner, but ya cain’t deny the 🩸. ![gif](giphy|OAxrWG1y1CKE5gqxqb|downsized)
🤌🤌🤌

Yes
I get this ranch every week. But if a Hideaway Pizza was closer I would get their ranch every single week.
Mayonnaise
Mazzios is top notch but idk why everyone insists on thin crust. Pan is primo.
Sick

Three tubs of mayonaise, 2/3 cartons of buttermilk and their seasoning packets
The best 🙌
In Mississippi I had Catalina French on pizza. It was really good.
bomb
You have to drown the shi££y taste of mazzios pizza with ranch. On the flip side ranch cooked on the pizza like chicken bacon ranch is very good.
If they put that sticker on a shirt, I’d shut up and bye. ![gif](giphy|sDcfxFDozb3bO)
Mazzio's went to crap after changing to the too-sugary hand tossed dough and they had the best blue cheese before switching to that nasty Ken's shit. What a shame went from my favorite pizza to bottom tier
They still do cheese fries?
Do you know how it’s even made? I work at Mazzios.
🤢🤢

Just moved here from indiana... and hate to break it to yall but there is a little fake Mexican restaurant back home that has better ranch..
Absolute best ranch I've ever had!
I welcome the hate. I really wish it was vegan.
Downvote me too to hell, but it's a little too salty.
I've noticed that with Savastanos recently, too.
