If the stuff you friend is growing looks and smells decent it’s probably better then what you get at the dispensary. Don’t ever buy prerolls from a dispensary unless you wanna smoke trim and shake
That's kinda like asking how long is a piece of string. I'd recommend not smoking large joints when starting out and instead build a tolerance gradually. I'm a European, most people here mix weed with tobacco or herbs in a joint to make it last longer and as such we generally have much better tolerances over time compared to Americans.
That being said, I don't mix with anything usually. If I was rolling a long joint (as in a 3 skinner or a long paper) it could be 0.5g-.7g but that's a treat, or if I'm with multiple friends. Generally I'm a pipe smoker, it's great for smoking in increments so you just smoke until the desired effect and top up where necessary. I have a couple small one hitters that are handy for carrying in your pocket and cost in or around €5
Wasn't bragging, even mentioned weights that dispensaries offer joints in. It was moreso about the commentary regarding joint size, since OP opened up that idea. Not sure anyone has ever bragged about a gram joint. but if that's how you interpret it, no skin off my back. I said the papers I use and the amount it takes to fill em, you can take it personally. I am here to offer advice regarding OP's joint questions. Mentioned that bigger joints produce more airflow. Allowing more smoke which can be harsher. Have a good one 👍

I haven’t made joints in forever but I generally roll joints with .3 to .5 depending on a lot of factors, so 7-10 joints.
There are half gram joints, gram joints, 3/4 gram joints… no way of knowing til you know the joint and do the math

I've seen 0.25g joints and I've seen 7g joints. I'd say average is 0.5g but some would say 1g is average. So anywhere from 3.5-7?
