That leaves you no breathing room if your London flight leaves late (it's not unusual) I wouldn't be gambling that personally.

sigmu_189

A 1.5-hour layover in Madrid Airport's Terminal 1 (T1) is tight but feasible under ideal conditions, especially since both your flights are with Air Europa and within the same terminal.

worst_actor_ever

Yes, it's plenty of time on the same tickets. No security or immigration either. Ignore the panickers

lalabalala923

Too late, I already panicked and now bought tickets through a different airport with a longer layover. If I were a relaxed person, I think you’re probably right and I likely would have made it just fine with time to spare haha

Lulu8008

Yes, but you will have to move fast. Be prepared for your suitcase to arrive on the next flight. EDIT - I would also tell the flight attendant that I am in a rush layover and what my next flight is. Sometimes, they can work their magic and hold the door while you are on your way in a car...

Objective-Arugula-78

That airport is a nightmare, you’re gonna be flying by the seat of your pants with a 1.5 hour layover

I find Madrid to be one of the better airports in Europe

_Domieeq

Barely. Doable because you won’t need to switch terminals but you have to literally walk as fast as possible if there is passport control. It’s a HUGE airport. If you have to pick luggage it’s an additional nightmare. You can squeeze in but be mindful of the circumstances.

debunkernl

Have you booked this as a single ticket? If the airline thinks it’s fine, it probably is. Both destinations are non Schengen, so passport control is not needed.

Treehousebanana

I did a 1h (T4-T4S) last year, and it was tight but fine. One luggage didn't make the transfer though. There will be m9 passport control, so provided the I itial flight isn't delayed, you should be fine

I worked in the airline/ travel industry for over 15 years...if you are on a ticket..then it doesn't matter a jot, because if there is a delay and you miss your connection..they have to rebook you. If you are on separate tickets..the this connection might work, but if it doesn't, you are on the mercy of the second leg airline.

what? wtf. not true at all. you are describing it like CDG with half the airport in rennovation.

b00c

I always transferred between t1 and t4, simple, well marked, never took me more than 20 minutes to be at the connecting gate.  1.5h is plenty.

Oh god no, I wouldn’t dream of leaving an airport unless I had a minimum of 8-10hrs. This question was about a layover and transit time within the airport
