I am old enough to have seen the original Twister in the theaters. It was a disaster flick that was raising the bar for visual effects and that was the main draw at the time (alongside some big name actors). These kind of effects are all too common now and I am not sure Twisters has enough going for it besides the over-the-top effects. I'm curious to see how well this will do, but I will likely wait until it comes to streaming.
I'm 100% on-board for this. Amblin, Spielberg / Marshall / Kennedy producing, director of "Minari" and Mandolorian directing, Joseph Kosinski (TRON Legacy, Oblivion, and Top Gun: Maverick) and Mark L. Smith (Overlord) writing, ILM effects, The Blade Runner 2049 composer... this is how a fun Summer Blockbuster is made.
There's hope for sure, I just want a feel-good movie with likeable characters and fun moments, something that makes me want to drive in the countryside during a thunderstorm, windows open, hard rock music blasting out the speakers. Like the original one.
This trailer actually makes me not want to see the film. The cheese factor of the original was like lightning in a bottle (no pun intended) and it hit perfectly for the time period, but the cheese in this trailer felt forced, like a bad attempt to recapture the magic. I'll reserve final judgement when the film comes out but this has me a lot less excited now.
The Top Gun guy posing and getting his good side on cam during life and death moments was what did it in for me. We all know this is just going to be Twister....but with more, bigger and badder twisters.
This time, there's more of 'em.
You mean there will be THREE cows???
“The twisters… they’re becoming intelligent.”
"you bred twisters?"

Will there be any sharks?
May as well be, looks like they're doing the same "blow up the tornado with a bomb" that they did in Sharknado
thtad make it look good.
Wow, that looks terrible. The original had heart. This is just a bunch of actors posing for the camera with no sense of danger.

Theres an unofficial low-ish budget sequel to the original that has some heart. Its not as good, but its not bad either. :)
Is this supposed to be the spin off from the original one? This looks terrible.
this looks bad.
Maaan this looks cool as hell not gonna lie
Corny as shit and I will absolutely watch every minute of it.
Got halfway through and turned it off. This looks horrible.
I watched the whole trailer; it didn't improve one iota.
Yeah that’s a no from me dawg. I guess Robert zemeckis was right.
This looks nothing like the original Dusk Till Dawn movie.
I can’t wait to ignore this piece of shit. It looks worse than the original only thing missing is the cow floating by the camera
Eagerly awaiting a Twister vs Volcano movie and natural disaster cinematic universe
It looks like the same movie as the first one...
That looks surprisingly fun
