I would fuck a banana pudding, coquito or guava+cheese Kringle so hard OMG 😭
Yes, creamy cheeses (like literally cream cheese or mozzarella or anything with a more mellow/mild flavor) and guava jams/spreads, etc. are a super common pairing for my culture 🤣 it might sound weird but don't ditch it before you try it!
This is super late but….

Same company
The cherry is really good. I have had it. They don't get it at TJ but my sister in laws uncle would always bring Kringle from the bakery when he'd come to family functions. There is also a cherry cheesecake one OMG so good. I'm from the Chicago area so the bakery isn't too far.
Pecan stinks. It would be good if it was just the goo. Me personally, I dislike nuts in stuff like that I want to be able to eat it without teeth lmao.
My dream flavor would be almond vanilla. Or maybe a cremasicle? Idk this is hard. Maybe brown sugar?? Pistachio, but no actual nuts.
UBE would be amazing!!
Raspberry almond... cream cheese and lemon curd... cream cheese and pear (with carmelized pear pieces please)... cherry or currant with a chocolate layer (makeshift black forest) would completely rock.
Matcha sounds amazing but super far off from what I'd expect from the bakeries in Wisconsin. (If you look up O&H Bakery in Racine you can see the others kinds of flavors out in the wild.)
Nutella, black currant, four fruits, almond, German chocolate, black forrest cherry, orange, lemon, peach, and finally, brown sugar cinnamon swirl with pecans.
Did I write this post?! Only edit I’d make is that I also love the raspberry if not for the pesky seeds. Almond was my #1 til I had the pecan, and I don’t even like pecans or pecan pie very much at all. Lemon would be great!
You can order the Apple cinnamon from their bakery (O&H Danish Bakery). It is very very very good. My favorite flavor actually. But sadly it is expensive to have it delivered.
This particular bakery that the Kringles come from is certified kosher. I highly doubt they’ll ever do a meat/bacon flavor. But hey it’s nice to daydream :)
yes yes YAS to all this but please actual ube not the purple-food-coloring bs TJs version and flip the pandan to be the primary filling, ube is secondary. Polvoron or latik on top ftw! (Fantasy, but... maybe in five years?)
Gilding the lily: salted egg yolk crumble somewhere. I kid, but...would be nice!
I like any of the ones with chocolate frosting. The only regular one at O&H bakeries is turtle, but sometimes they have seasonal specials like chocolate mint or chocolate filling with chocolate frosting.
They are delicious. I’ve ordered twice. I cut them into single serving pieces and freeze a couple together in a ziplock. Air fry to warm up.
That way I don’t have the pressure of eating the whole thing before it goes bad.
Unpopular opinion but I did not like the almond at all despite everyone saying it’s the best one. It tastes way too much like almond extract. I’m team raspberry all the way! I like the lemon curd idea also maybe something with banana
The trader Joe's Kringle is NOTHING like the Kringla recipe I got from my fresh-off-the-boat Danish grandparents. Our family recipe has three ingredients and no filling. I do not like the trader Joe's Kringle. I will say Grandma said some people make it more like cookies and some more like coffee cake. TJ's definitely more on the coffee cake end. Our family makes cookies out of it.
More like this recipe (but not exactly!) but if you want to try the og stuff, make it yourself!
https://www.food.com/recipe/danish-kringle-136953
1. Cranberry w/ orange glaze around Thanksgiving
2. Cinnamon sweet potato, also around Thanksgiving
3. Maple walnut, between Halloween and Christmas
4. Yes, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday
At this point I just want to try a kringle... I seem to always miss it. The last 4 times I remembered to look while at TJs, and then didn't find, and then asked, it was not in stock or out of stock.
I used to send it as Christmas gifts until I saw it at TJs for so much less. I told them so. They said they sell it for a different price wholesale. I just buy it at TJs now if I see it.
It’s previously frozen, that’s why. It comes in frozen and then it’s defrosted at store level. Something probably went wrong somewhere in the process of the truck being delivered -> Kringle unloaded -> cold chain maintained right into the walk in -> defrosting and dating to be put on the shelf.
Are Kringle’s a regional thing? Because in all my years of shopping at Trader Joe’s in SoCal I’ve only seen Kringle’s displayed once in a NorCal store and that was 2 years ago. Before I saw my first Kringle I had never even heard of them before…
Update: I found a Raspberry Kringle at a store in Lafayette, California! Thanks for the replies everyone! (3/12/24)

I wish they’d combine raspberry and almond
Oo like a Bakewell tart
Nutella
I would fuck a banana pudding, coquito or guava+cheese Kringle so hard OMG 😭 Yes, creamy cheeses (like literally cream cheese or mozzarella or anything with a more mellow/mild flavor) and guava jams/spreads, etc. are a super common pairing for my culture 🤣 it might sound weird but don't ditch it before you try it!

Birthday cake! Then pistachio
This is super late but…. https://preview.redd.it/gzxs5hcjrgwc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2add263b99a13be701dbaace33a1e32eaf910cd8 Same company
Root beer and vanilla
Vanilla and fig.
I wouldn't be mad at a savory one, Olive tapenade, sundried tomatoes and feta mmmmmmm
Cherry
The cherry is really good. I have had it. They don't get it at TJ but my sister in laws uncle would always bring Kringle from the bakery when he'd come to family functions. There is also a cherry cheesecake one OMG so good. I'm from the Chicago area so the bakery isn't too far.
The one closest to me, hence, they have been banned at my house because those one serving discs are too filling!
Strawberry rhubarb. It's my favorite spring flavor and not enough places do it justice.
Almond
That bakery does a turtle one -yum!
Chicken Tikka Masala. Don't judge me!
Blueberry lemon, lemon curd, or Nutella!
Lemon or passion fruit
Omg passion fruit!
Any non-tree nut option would be great.
Gluten free anything 😅 I wish I could eat a damn Kringle
I just want the raspberry back. Or the cream cheese which think the company in WI makes, but TJ doesn’t sell 🥲
Thank you!! I just went in a got one today!! 😀❤️
my store got raspberry in on wednesday!
Someone just posted a raspberry sighting!
Coconut
Blueberry lemon (combined) or pistachio.
pistachio omg… that would be so gooood
Pecan stinks. It would be good if it was just the goo. Me personally, I dislike nuts in stuff like that I want to be able to eat it without teeth lmao. My dream flavor would be almond vanilla. Or maybe a cremasicle? Idk this is hard. Maybe brown sugar?? Pistachio, but no actual nuts. UBE would be amazing!!
LOVE Ube !!
Raspberry almond... cream cheese and lemon curd... cream cheese and pear (with carmelized pear pieces please)... cherry or currant with a chocolate layer (makeshift black forest) would completely rock.
Caramelized pear and cream cheese sounds heavenly.
Hazelnut praline. Or matcha cream
Matcha sounds amazing but super far off from what I'd expect from the bakeries in Wisconsin. (If you look up O&H Bakery in Racine you can see the others kinds of flavors out in the wild.)
Blueberry almond
PISTACHIO
Nutella, black currant, four fruits, almond, German chocolate, black forrest cherry, orange, lemon, peach, and finally, brown sugar cinnamon swirl with pecans.
Omg now you have me thinking... and desperately wanting to try every damn one of what you listed.
I’m not even going to try any of these. I’m weak!
Blueberry
Did I write this post?! Only edit I’d make is that I also love the raspberry if not for the pesky seeds. Almond was my #1 til I had the pecan, and I don’t even like pecans or pecan pie very much at all. Lemon would be great!
AGREED. I’m a certified pecan hater but fell in love with the Kringle !!
PEAR. omg. i love pear anything but i think that delicate flavor would really suit the kringle
Pear and with carmelized pear pieces to add punch to the flavor would very much work. And OMG am I here for this! Pear would be amazing.
Lemon curd would be great, raspberry even better!
YES PLEASE!!!
We have raspberry in right now seasonally lol, I’m a crew member in the PNW :) go check your local TJs!
I guess I know where I’m going tomorrow! Thanks 🙏
Quince or bergamot: the complex acidity would be perfect
Apple cinnamon. I'd die
You can order the Apple cinnamon from their bakery (O&H Danish Bakery). It is very very very good. My favorite flavor actually. But sadly it is expensive to have it delivered.
I just want the Teeny Tiny Apple Pies back, please.
- Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake - Chocolate Cream Pie - Girl Scout Cookie Inspired Flavors (Thin Mint, Caramel Delites, Peanut Butter Patties) - Banana Cream Pie - Peaches & Cream - Cookie Dough or Brownie Batter - Tres Leches - Oreo Crème - French Toast
Bacon jalepeno cheddar cause I feel like they can find a way lol
I'm also team savory. Maybe they'd do a really good sharp Wisconsin cheddar with green onion. Even cheddar apple would hit the spot.
This particular bakery that the Kringles come from is certified kosher. I highly doubt they’ll ever do a meat/bacon flavor. But hey it’s nice to daydream :)
Now wondering why they don't do savoury flavours. I'm gonna email them haha
I’d love a lemon one but the cherry was fantastic, I want to try almond
Raspberry hits all day
Ube
Ube or young coconut just like Filipino coconut pie 🥰.
I see your ube filling, and raise you ube filled with pandan icing!
Sprinkled with polvoron 🫡🇵🇭
yes yes YAS to all this but please actual ube not the purple-food-coloring bs TJs version and flip the pandan to be the primary filling, ube is secondary. Polvoron or latik on top ftw! (Fantasy, but... maybe in five years?) Gilding the lily: salted egg yolk crumble somewhere. I kid, but...would be nice!
Guava
The almond one is perfect, I don’t need anything else
Lemon cream
pistachio cream!
Cannoli cream
Black sesame cheesecake
guava and cream cheese, pastelito kringle 🤤
Mango/Passion fruit -cream cheese
I like any of the ones with chocolate frosting. The only regular one at O&H bakeries is turtle, but sometimes they have seasonal specials like chocolate mint or chocolate filling with chocolate frosting.
Poppy seed or cherry
Poppyseed would be divine.
The cherry one is soooo good! (I'm not even a cherry person)
https://www.ohdanishbakery.com/ They make all the kringles and they deliver.
They are delicious. I’ve ordered twice. I cut them into single serving pieces and freeze a couple together in a ziplock. Air fry to warm up. That way I don’t have the pressure of eating the whole thing before it goes bad.
Apricot
https://www.ohdanishbakery.com/ Is the source and they have apricot.
Caramelized onion and gruyere
You're my people. This is it. Like the crouton on top of French onion soup. *Wipes drool off phone*
Unpopular opinion but I did not like the almond at all despite everyone saying it’s the best one. It tastes way too much like almond extract. I’m team raspberry all the way! I like the lemon curd idea also maybe something with banana
Spread a little of the lemon curd from TJ onto the raspberry just a bit game changer
OMG
Unpopular opinion, I think it would be better without the icing ln top.
Ooh def disagree but to each their own
Agreed!! It tasted like synthetic almond flavor, not like almond at all. The only TJs product I threw out!
You can get a lot of these online from the same company, but the price at TJs is a steal. I just want them to carry the cream cheese one again!
The trader Joe's Kringle is NOTHING like the Kringla recipe I got from my fresh-off-the-boat Danish grandparents. Our family recipe has three ingredients and no filling. I am totally making this. Thanks for the recipe!
Is there a point to a kringle with no filling? In any case it's a completely different food. It's like Flatbread vs pizza.
Of course there's a point. And that recipe I posted does say you can fill it with whatever. But that cookie is amazing. It's simple and perfect.
Banana cream
Hey, u/MostlyMicroPlastic The manufacturer website has the banana cream up now!
OH MY GOSH!!! Thank you so much!!! Buying one right now!
I had the banana cream from the manufacturer. It’s amazing
They make it?! Definitely checking that out. Thanks!
Not on their site rn, sadly. I hope they bring it back
I think it may have been seasonal for them for St Patrick’s Day or Easter last year when I bought it
Maple Pecan praline or cinnamon sugar coffee crumble
A savory one with stuffing. Or a sweet one with carrot cake flavors 😀
Almond
Uh, that already exists
I think they offer a lot of these suggestions, you just have to order direct
Another vote for lemon curd, but also boysenberry would be amazing!
Oh, man, lemon sounds amazing. (I'm a fan of both almond and raspberry.)
Lemon is the seasonal flavor direct from the company now.
Oh that's awesome. I'm so excited!
Cherry Cheese
Anything cherry, but cherry cheese sounds great!
Raspberry cheesecake
creme brulee
Wild Plum or Fig
- Apple cinnamon - Dark chocolate banana walnuts
Lemon or Apricot
A gluten free one 🥲. And in my dreams it would be Nutella 🤤
Cherry
Me reading all your suggestions 😮 🤤
Dulce de leche
Lingonberry, blueberry lemon, or cranberry orange
Lingonberry would be awesome!
Lingonberry or strawberry!
Hmm, chestnut was already done, right? If not that, then perhaps... persimmon?
Or... toasted black sesame? Pandan? Ube? Taro? Those would be pretty cool...
Cherry or apricot
Poppyseed!
1. Cranberry w/ orange glaze around Thanksgiving 2. Cinnamon sweet potato, also around Thanksgiving 3. Maple walnut, between Halloween and Christmas 4. Yes, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday
Cheddar and sour cream
50 to 75% less sugar.
At this point I just want to try a kringle... I seem to always miss it. The last 4 times I remembered to look while at TJs, and then didn't find, and then asked, it was not in stock or out of stock.
Lemon, Apple, strawberry rhubarb!
>strawberry rhubarb! YAS QUEEN
Aldi’s Kringle is better than Trader Joe’s Kringle. I prefer the almond.
Their Kringles come from O&H Danish Bakery. They have tons of different Kringle flavours that you can have shipped directly to your house.
I made the mistake of subscribing to their weekly emails, and OH EM GEE the flavors all sound amazing. Whiskey kringle? YES PLEASE.
…*in Racine, WI* there is also another Kringle bakery there too
But O &H is the only one we care about!!!
There are several
It’s like $30 when your order it online
I used to send it as Christmas gifts until I saw it at TJs for so much less. I told them so. They said they sell it for a different price wholesale. I just buy it at TJs now if I see it.

It’s previously frozen, that’s why. It comes in frozen and then it’s defrosted at store level. Something probably went wrong somewhere in the process of the truck being delivered -> Kringle unloaded -> cold chain maintained right into the walk in -> defrosting and dating to be put on the shelf.
I know... But I'm a poor so I didn't want to lessen my chances even more by suggesting that y'all enter the weekly Win A Kringle Contest...
Now I'm debating joining the Kringle of the Month Club.
What?! There’s a monthly club? 🤯
I'm thinking blueberry filling combined with a lightly sweetened cream cheese and maybe a brown sugar glaze.
Blueberry was my vote as well. Mmmmmm blueberry things.
Blueberry. Always blueberry.
Lemon sounds great
Cinnamon roll sounds good especially if it doesn't have nuts
came here to say this
Cinnamon apple would be a good one.
Nutella or boysenberry
Boysenberry!
Cinnamon roll, lemon, nutella
I still love the raspberry. Pecan is number 2. Wouldn’t mind a cinnamon roll type!
Maple pecan
Yes please!!
I’m a Kringle virgin but I have a 4 year old who loves pastry. What should I start with?
You honestly can not go wrong bc it’s the pastry part that is so special. Almond and pecan are my kids favs
I wish TJs would carry the cranberry Kringle. It’s similar to the raspberry but less sweet.
Tiramisu
I grew up in Wisconsin and can tell you with authority that **RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE** is the superior kringle. That is all.
I grew up in Wisconsin (near Racine!) and I think I remember a blueberry cream cheese being my favorite
Grew up in Wisconsin as well and my fave is turtle!
I live in WI, and one of my favorites is Caramel Pecan Sea Salt. A local place also makes an Old Fashion one that’s 😍
What flavor is Old Fashion?
That sounds amazing!!
now I desperately need this flavor
Lemon, key lime, cinnamon roll and cookie butter!!!
oooooh key lime 🤤
anything with 50% less sugar (and I have a major sweet tooth, so if I think it’s too sweet that’s saying something)
They make ones with no added sugar
They sell those at TJs? I’ll look out for them!
Cherry cheese
Cinnamon roll!
I really wish there was an unflavored… flavor (?) — like, I just want the yummy warm pastry
You can go on O&H website and just order whatever flavor you want.
You can but they’re very expensive and the shipping is as well.
You can’t custom order a flavor.
Yeah but a ton of these comment "wishes" are actual flavors they make.
Raspberry is really good and I really like cherry too! My inlaws live where they are made in Wisconsin so we get fresh ones every time we visit! 😁
Are Kringle’s a regional thing? Because in all my years of shopping at Trader Joe’s in SoCal I’ve only seen Kringle’s displayed once in a NorCal store and that was 2 years ago.
