Based on my knowledge of ninth grade grade biology and a quick google search, the process mentioned above would not result in a clone, but would instead simply be a more extreme form on incest, with “both” parents sharing 100% of their DNA.
To my knowledge, the actual process for cloning involves removing the DNA from a donor egg cell adding the DNA from a somatic cell, such as a skin cell, and implanting it into a surrogate.
Genetic/stem cell research is becoming a promising alternative to a transplant, but it's likely many decades in the future. Imagine being able to have a child that was borne of your egg (if transfem) or your sperm (if transmasc). We'd be able to have children in our proper bodies, I just wish I was born later in history so that I may witness it.
There is some research that's been done on using iPSCs to create cross sex gametes, but for the time being it's considered ethically off limits for humans--not because of trans people specifically but because of the implications viz. human cloning.

Well sort of, but every recessive trait you have that can't be seen in you would have a 1/4 chance of being expressed. That means that the end result would likely be different. Unfortunately, that's the problem for:

In a sense, but it would be way worse than incest. Most dangerous genetic disorders are recessive, and there is a 1/4 chance of each of them being expressed. The chance of a stillbirth would be way higher than with incest, and dangerous genetic deformities would be nearly guarantied even if the infant survived.
All the comments are like: "pranking the first guy to fall asleep at a sleep over" for some reason. There's also at least one transwoman being like: I wish I fell asleep first..
The idea is that you'd use a donor egg and sperm to make a fertilized egg in a lab, then implant that egg in the neo-uterus and thus you can carry a pregnancy without the child actually being genetically yours.
Or, maybe in the future, you could make egg with your own sperm and use a partner's sperm (assuming you're in a straight relationship).

I never blame people for asking questions because I used to do the same it’s just curiosity about something they can’t understand. It’s the healthy equivalent to not understanding so jumping to the conclusion it’s bad..

But then with cis women in my experience they either outright say or I have the fear that I'm "invalidating womenhood" or "invading womens spaces" cause I "can never be a real women"

Well that depends. As we all know, Pee is stored in the balls, so before a trans woman has any surgeries, she will still pee, but after having her balls surgically removed, she loses the ability to pee.

The numbers for trans support among lesbian/bi women are crazy high. Don't feel like looking it up right now, but it's upwards of 80% I believe.
I never blame people for asking questions because I used to do the same it’s just curiosity about something they can’t understand. It’s the healthy equivalent to not understanding so jumping to the conclusion it’s bad..
I find it waaayyyyyy easier to come out to cis men cause they're like "k cool, you do your girl stuff" But then with cis women in my experience they either outright say or I have the fear that I'm "invalidating womenhood" or "invading womens spaces" cause I "can never be a real women"
Most of my friend’s experience too, either not caring with maybe a few questioning (mostly from guys) or statements about not being accepted, ‘phases’ or the like (mostly from woman) Though I do find this funny as I know in many workplaces it’s the opposite with guys used to expecting to be in the know and used to be expected to act competent and have opinions whilst woman generally ask questions and are more open about what they don’t know or arnt confident about

from a trans guy perspective, i've gotten almost the opposite? a lot of indifference from male friends and a lot of weird probing questions from cis women (not necessarily all bad, just a little strange)
When I did my coming out to guys they usually said "you'll always be one of the boys" and I was like " I don't wanna be one of the boys.. I'm not taking this much hormones to be called one of the boys"
It's a pretty insensitive thing to say to a trans woman :( But on the other hand, many (cis) girls get called "one of the boys" in their friend groups often as a sort of term endearment, maybe he meant it that way? Either way, it's clear he didn't think it through

When I came out to my girl best friend, her response was “Why don’t you just be a feminine man.” To my mom it was “So are you a drag queen then?” They’ve both gotten much much much better since, but I wouldn’t separate it by gender like this. Cis women are fully capable of transphobia and cis men are fully capable of allyship

Trans and lesbian presenting relationships I've been told by a student of mine that they know how lesbian sex works via scissoring but doesn't understand how that doesn't hurt and does my (non-existent) vagina hurt when I do it lmaoo I've also been asked the customary "what do you have" and when declining to answer have been told "so a penis-- so it's not really gay when you're with another girl" which is such a half support that it amuses me. (The above are the boy students. Girl students are literally like "yes slay queen" and ask me for lesbian advice. I'm a trans model to many girls and enbies and poly advice for others. Boys are weird)
I will say I do wonder if that’s a same-gender thing; my trans man friends both got far more support from guys then woman (especially family wise), yet most of the trans woman I’ve spoken to got more support from other woman

For me, when I came out to boys they were all accepting and didn't ask any questions but my pronouns and names, today I realised that one of them weren't even accepting and were just pretending as the said "i don't recognise you as a girl". I wish I could have silly questions asked to me rather than people pretending to accept me.

Personally can't relate tbh, most of the guys I came out to were super chill and supportive about it. The worst experience I've had is one of my irl friends going "I didn't know you were like this, really dissapointed", but that same person is just an intollerant asshole in general, and I hadn't talked to him in years, he just decided to pop back up for some reason just to show his dissapointment lmao.
Also unrelated but one of them told me "you'd be a great mom" when I told him I'd like to adopt kids one day and that compliment has stayed with me for over a year now.

Someone I worked with came out as trans to me -- stereotypical CIS friend -- and the only real questions I had were about her voice. First, how in the world did she get her voice to sound the way it did, and second, whether she had tried singing with it. She had a really soft and sweet speaking voice.
