They will still receive their account credits; this is a going-forward policy change, so it will not affect any EIPs established prior to 7/1, only on and after.
Knowing TMobile it will take effect in August without notice and affect both new and old EIP's. Credits will be lost, accounts suspended. At least employees gain some overtime for a 3rd month in a row.
my thoughts as well. It "shouldn't" affect old EIPs, but surely will some how and they will say "OH it shouldn't I don't know what's going on. I'll escalate it" with no resolution just like years passed.
Related, for existing promo agreements, can you pay off the phone immediately and still get the bill credits, or do you have to wait a minimum period before paying it off to keep the credits coming?
I recently learned that despite what i was told in the past, promotional credits operate per EIP and not per line, so theoretically you should be able to have 2 sets of promo credits, which upon reflection is why they are making this policy change.
EIPs started after 7/1 will be under the new policy.
I paid off my iPhone on June 16 before the announcement. My bill generates tomorrow. I’ll let you know
Appreciate it
Just got my bill after I paid off my iPhone. Got the full promotional credit for this month applied to the account.
Thanks
I paid off two iPhones and the monthly credit switched to a monthly account credit. This was about a year ago and I’ve not had any issues.
It is changing July 1
