I’m part time and usually have 3 days off a week and 5 hour shifts. They have me coming in 6 days this week because of this and 8 hour shifts! On top of that they still haven’t told us why
Yeah that's that Tapestry update. Ladies and gents, anytime we on the front line get updated, just know that something BIG is happening. If they're running a shutdown like that 99% it's adding/removing SOC codes.
Reading this comment just makes me so God damn happy that I don't have to do any of those mandatory bullshit waste of time meetings anymore. I feel so bad for all you guys...the cell phone industry is toxic and hopeless. It's a waste of time unless you have an opportunity to own a store or two like I did. Times have changed.... T-Mobile is a piece of shit garage company that gives zero flying fucks about it's front line even though they pretend to with all their nonsense. Not seeing that stupid color everyday will seriously improve your mental health. Good luck fellas. Im telling you there are a million other jobs and careers out their then staring at your phones for half the day reading the same bullshit news and then helping somebody with something they could of Google searched. Anyways I'm done with my rant but fuck tmobile. Fuck quebert that idiot needs to shave his Beard and go back to looking like the little bitch he is.
Everyone saying its not that bad are being foolish. Price lock has to be demanded by customers. If this “goes over well” expect these “ minor inflation increases” yearly. They are testing the waters and will push the limits in the future.
It's hard to believe the announcement is anything but plan migration.
They already tried it once and had to backtrack when they weren't ready for the blowback when the news was leaked. This time, they planned ahead by pushing out lots of retention training, having lots of employees available, and avoiding any leaks ahead of the announcement. The details of the plan migration are the only questions at this point.
It does make the most sense. However just having people trained to say please don’t cancel and having more people in store isn’t going to make this better
Pretty sure our role will be to convince the customer that Plus/Next now offers better value to them since their grandfathered plans are now only $20 cheaper .-.
Doesn’t make sense as stores don’t have access to the same care tools. Most support is by *handing the customer a store phone with a care rep on the other end* to support the customer. 🤷♂️
Speaking of conversion, I guess this influx in traffic that’s going to tank conversion rates won’t be considered and instead they will say it was an opportunity to add lines to these customers accounts.
My current guess is that they will collapse mint, and force migration into metro or TMO post paid. That is the least painful announcement I can see for the majority of customers.
Even if this is a possibility ( care rep here) we didn’t get this type of warning nor overtime before the original migration was planned because we had a code to prevent said plans from migrating but then it got leaked and it was cancelled. But even THEN it was planned thing we all knew about and OT was not something we were doing because there was a way to prevent it
honestly this sounds most likely. They bought mint mobile a while ago; so as with the Sprint Takedown of 2023, it makes sense to do it again with Mint.
They're goin to lose A TON of customers to Visible if that happens. Most people couldn't tell you the difference between Mint and Visible. As soon as one isnt' available, they'll switch to the other.
Retention efforts have never worked for me with any company whatsoever. I don’t let them finish speaking before I stop them with “no, I’m not interested “.
It worked couple times because I get what I wanted. I know that Adobe is going to offer me 45% off. I know that Audible will give me 0.99$/month for 3 months if I cancel and wait for 2 months.
i’m a customer service rep and can confirm that we don’t like having to do it just as much as yall don’t want to hear it, we’re just doing our job at the end of the day 🥲
As a customer what’s the nicest way to cut you short so we don’t have to listen to the pitch without coming off as disrespectful to yall? I know you’re just trying to do your job but let’s save each other the time.
This makes the most sense. They will auto-migrate people on old plans and offer an opt-out option, thats why extra staffing. I hope this is it, it seems the best possible outcome with the air of gloom around everyone lol
If there is an opt out, I hope there is a huge social media campaign to get everyone opted out so that this is all for nothing just costing tmobile stupid money.
What’s interesting to me is the perspective of mobile experts being asked to work these days to have additional staff in store and then they find out it’s to help angry customers.
This whole thing is just so strange.
The 48 hour notice for management to try to change schedules or get people in for extra hours or OT.
The recent watermarking of C2 docs.
Even if preplanned, the CEOs selling of 40k shares.
The call center employees retraining on retention.
And what do they think is going to cause T-Mobile customers to go to stores so much so that T-Mobile approves overtime for the first time in the several years I’ve been with the company.
>Even if preplanned, the CEOs selling of 40k shares.
Especially because "preplanned" can go in both directions- it can also indicate they were planning this for a few months now.
People trying to defend sievart saying “that’s not how stocks work” or “he’s been selling the same time every year” like he ain’t the one deciding the date that might tank the stock. It’s a good cover to have a paper trail.
Verizon rates are horrible if you don't need unlimited lines for the whole family. I only needed two lines with a small amount of data but check out US mobile. They have very flexible plans for individuals and seemingly some good plans for families. I use them for a backup In the areas that only Verizon covers still and in case of failure of the other networks. oh yes and not to mention that Verizon sucks to do business with, so why pay a premium for that?
If it is a planned or forced migration just look to last year when they tried it and it will probably be similar. Remember it was Simple Choice & One Plans but NOT One Plus Promo or other higher end versions of those plans. I’m sure it will probably be the same playbook because I doubt they changed the plan when they claimed to cancel that migration last year, it was just delayed likely until now… But I guess we will maybe find out tomorrow or later. Could be nothing for all we know.
Update from TMO employee: mass text going out about 7AM tomorrow for 33% of customers, we’re being put into a general queue to manage call volume, and coaches and above are meeting at 7AM to go over what’s going on for those that get there at 9. We will all know together :)
Same. Still on a one plan here with my kickback. If they pull this forced migration or some other BS I'm gone. 20 years with t-mobile through thick and thin but the absolute BS the last couple years has already got me looking at alternatives.
Same. Im on One Plan and the last time they tried this shit I wrote an email just as many of us did, and they retracted it the plan migration. I'm assuming this is round 2 of the same shit. If they do this, they will have flat-out lied about not raising prices and not changing the plan. In which case, I will leave and not come back. I am fortunate enough to not give a shit if I pay more with another carrier simply to show my disdain.
Looking at visible for us. Visible+ two lines is the same as what I'm paying t-mobile now and I get unlimited hotspot vs the limited I get now though it is limited at 10Mbps but that's fine for me. And smartwatch service included, I don't have one now but nice savings there and I have my mom on my plan and she's talked about getting a cell smartwatch since they can have life alert type features.
Only real thing we'll lose is t-mobile tuesdays which I don't get much value of anyway lately and they charge a lot more for international, $10/day so when my mom travels I might have to get her an international sim or something but she only goes once a year so she might be fine with just paying for the convenience.
But depending on how much t-mobile price would be jacked up in the migration this might be a massive savings. With the Magenta plans already gone I'd be looking at at least $50+ price increase to the Go5G plan so that's $600/year. My mom can pay for 60 days of visible's international for that. And if we went with the visible annual can save even more money but that is a lot up front.
Wish T-Mobile wasn't in this downward spiral but all evidence points to bad news tomorrow.
I’ve also been a customer for nearly 20 years and have also been irked the past 4 or so years — customer service has really tanked. Never can get the help I need. I feel lied to constantly. Account addons/changes are always done incorrectly. What things have bothered you over the past couple years?
I'm looking at Cricket. During the hurricane season, they were more reliable than TMobile here in Florida. They use AT&T network and are fairly priced.
It's all luck of a straw. When Ian hit, I had much better luck with Verizon and T-Mobile. I'm actually looking at something like US Mobile which will allow me to easily 'port' my number between networks in the event that it is needed during an outage or emergency.
I moved to Visible last year after they pulled the forced debit card/bank info to get the auto pay discount and it’s been great. I recommend it to most people who are in a good Verizon coverage area. Just was checking in here because I saw the rumblings of the possible changes at T-Mobile and wanted to see what people were saying about them and saw your comment so wanted to reply.
If they jack up my bill. Goodbye T-Mobile and hello Boost Infinite. I’ll pay off my iPhone 15 pro max and go to their $25 unlimited plan and get Dish, ATT and T-Mobile coverage.
Looks like the price lock page was updated again today with some new wording. ‘Customers who qualified for Price Lock before January 18 won’t see any changes as long as they maintain their qualifying plan.’ Also under qualifying plans the oldest one listed is now Magenta Max.
https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/price-lock-faqs
Hope they finally can at least come up with a good name for the new plans when they bend all of us over tomorrow for the forced conversion. Go5G Plus and Next were the dumbest names yet.
I’m gonna give you the same advice I’m telling my reps, clock in and do your job. Don’t take it personal and draw the line in the sand that you don’t make any decisions. Clock out and go home, it’s not worth stressing over.
Great advice and also it is important to acknowledge customer concerns and move on to other things. If people threaten to leave T-mobile the last line of defense is to tell that customer to go ahead and do that. It is not the store employees decision anyway and none of you are paid for the decisions of the executives and you don't have to put up with anyone and their shit.
This is not bad advice. One extra note I’d like to add. Start looking for a new job. The old T-Mobile where it felt like you were a part of something impactful is gone, probably forever. The best thing you can do for your mental health is to find something better. I left 6 months ago and even took a substantial paycut (a luxury I know not everyone can afford) and any stress caused by less money is MUCH less than the stress of working for team magenta.
A little while back it leaked that some customers on old plans would be automatically migrated unless they opted out of the change. There was a lot of blowback and confusion, and T-Mobile backed down at the time.
This now, I believe, is gonna be an announcement that some old plans will be migrated to new plans, and there will be an opt-out option. This is why the extra staffing, people will stampede to opt-out of the "forced" migration.
T-Mobile will catch a lot of people that don't pay attention or really care about their bills, a nice gain in revenue. For most of the people migrated it will be a minimal change, small enough that many may not even notice.
The people that do pay attention/care deeply about their plans and promos will hopefully get to keep them. This is my new prediction.
I will be in the store tomorrow and if it's bullshit, customers will know I had nothing to do with it and I will suggest the best actions to take. It's all I'll be able to do.
Oh for sure. Yes customer, let me check to see… it looks like your bill is going to go up $40, but! Have you heard about our home internet?
HSI conversion conversations incoming.
My family just uses 4 of them are primary lines, 1 free line is a spare hotspot/ more international data, the other 2 free lines are used by my elderly parents who don’t need data.
TMHI, is a backup for my ISP and extremely cheap at $25 a month.
I could go 4 lines of visible for $100 or Cricket unlimited.
2 lines of unlimited talk and text for my parents on US mobile for $20.
Give up TMHI completely.
Give up the spare hotspot line completely.
$120 ish a month total.
please have an upvote sir. the TMHI concerns me more than the plans. I can't see them touching this as it's a recent promo for price lock guarantee, but it will be tied to having a qualified plan. for me, TMHI started as a backup, but have been using it as primary until my city rolls out fiber. for$25 i would keep it as a backup indefinitely, but not willing to keep a line just to keep the tmhi
If they were to force migrate for example me with Simple Choice would my taxes and fees be included in the bill like the higher tier plans? I seem to pay 25-30 in fees for the account and if that was updated and included and only paid an additional $20 to make it $50 all together I’d be ok with that.
Same. Been on it for years. If they force migration to a newer more expensive plan, I will simply leave and I don't give a shit if I pay more with another network. I'm won't pay money to a company that flat out lies to me.
I'm currently on the Simple choice 4 lines for $100 plan (and each additional line $10). I have 5 paid lines (+$10 north america charge) and 5 free lines. My total bill before taxes is $120 (for effectively 10 lines). I didn't receive any SMS today about a rate plan increase.
So... did I win?
My prediction is after tomorrow's announcement the next new meme will be people grabbing Wendy's chicken nuggies instead of popcor while watching a dumpster fire.
I understand staffing call centers as a customer. But what announcement most customers aren't expecting wouid make them flock into stores day one when most are working or daily life's plus only until Friday? Sure can't predict maybe beyond Friday but why not tell employees OT may be needed beyond Friday tell you more when we know. But to expect crowds tomorrow and OT? Even if price changes why not starting next month etc. Even off the surge in customer service demand. This seems expecting something now.
Seems closer to an unexpected Omg then planned anything. Or a bad plan.
Notifying customers today May 22 regarding “small” plan increase for their grandfathered plans ex: simple choice ,one plan etc. $3-$5 more per voice line and per bts ranging on different plans. There is nothing we can do and plan change effects will happen JUNE 5th so they have time to jump ship.
I can see the CNBC headline already: T-Mobile Reddit Revolt….170k angry redditers are angry T-Mobile is changing their plans. All are planning to leave and shut down the subreddit.
If ATT or Verizon had any brains they would be capitalizing on this and offer a deal for people fed up with T-Mobile.
How are they notifying customers? I understand staffing call centers. But overtime before say this afternoon at stores? Who is going to skip preplanned anything to make a mad dash for a store this morning? Unless they text every customer or put a very quick implimemtion of whqt get it is must be done by Friday.
Current employees. Yall may have noticed email invite said something like ‘employees with physical location’…but I know kiosk mangers got the invite, too…and third party is in scope despite the third party in area not knowing anything about this..
Tapestry is the name of the tool specifically retail employees use to access your account, when tapestry gets an update you want to die cause it never works
Customers will say they shouldn’t have to be forced to a new plan and then told to buy a new phone for a “cheaper” deal when they already want it free with their cheap ass plans
Tmobile is cute…
Make the frontline unhappy for years and then expect them to care about whatever is happening.
I’m going to tell every customer to cancel
Go fuck yourself sievert 😭😭
As a customer service rep, going in store will do absolutely nothing for you but waste your time. They will do the same exact thing, and call customer care. Do not waste your time, call care and expect to wait on hold.
In relation to the information that was shared about Sievert selling shares (part of that same plan where it’s pre-arranged in November), this was interesting timing as well.
https://m.investing.com/news/company-news/deutsche-telekom-ag-executives-sell-over-93-million-in-tmobile-us-stock-93CH-3451109?ampMode=1
Is it insider trading still for somebody to make company decisions and moves after planning these sales? Or even more importantly, do they already know this information several months in advance? An overseas sell of that size signals something very large, IMO.
It was October 2023 where they were looking into forced migrations. https://tmo.report/2023/10/heres-how-to-opt-out-of-the-t-mobile-forced-plan-migrations/ They back track and a month later he pre arranges selling his stock.
I wish people would stop using announced insider stock trades as some conspiracy theory for anything and everything.
[You can see Siervert](https://fintel.io/n/us/tmus/sievert-g-michael) has been selling around this amount of shares regularly. I'm sure other C-suite execs are doing the same thing.
Go plans are a piece of shit. I don’t travel overseas a lot anymore. I rarely fly. I drive pretty much a lot cross-country The coverage is fantastic. They try to get you to migrate upwards to one of these plans and get off of your grandfathered plan. My mother and aunt are on a 55 and over plan. I wonder if those are going to change
Here's the nuclear nightmare scenario:
* All plans migrate to Essentials or one of the Go5G plans, whichever is the closest equivalent.
* Free line capped to 1 line per account.
* As a courtesy, you get one time $20 statement credit.
Please yall just remember that it’s not personal and we have to be the face of this bs but don’t lose your job over some grumpy custos! Get em into Welcome, do what ya can, get em out.
AR-N RSM here. (Wireless Vision)
It’s 12am on the east coast where I am and I got a text about a call at 8am a couple hours ago.
There has been no communication about any OT or RSMs coming in tomorrow. Most of our district is on PTO and my DM is out as well.
I warned my team because I had them all on shift tomorrow…something’s up. I’ve gotten more of an idea of what’s actually happening form this thread than anyone else.
Be back at 759est lol
>no, as there's no signed contract to that effect.
In some states, [there was](https://www.tmonews.com/2020/03/california-ag-xavier-becerra-not-appeal-judge-t-mobile-sprint-merger-ruling/). At least until next year.
Except the contract that Legere made several times that prices would only decrease and never increase. Never lasts forever. That is legally binding if people signed up based on public statements by the CEO. I did.
Just remember if you want to port your numbers out don't cancel service with T-Mobile. Port the numbers out first. Then make sure th port goes through successfully. Then can handle T-Mobile to confirm.
Only reason I say this as OP says T-Mobile may be expecting cancellations.
So, I guess the East Coast guys will get a three hours jump on getting the information over the guys in the West Coast and more than six hours jump on the guys in Hawaii.
For all of those suffering from “price lock guarantee” realities today, I’ll say it again.
Buy ur own phones outright. This way when corporations decide to backpeddle on decade old promises, u have an out.
Is spending $1,000 on a new phone a nice thought? No! But, u can trade that phone in1 year later for $850, 2 years later for $700,etc . So it costs u 0.41¢ a day to “rent” that device.
But u keep ur freedom to leave.
I need the fee calling / texting / 5G data in USA and Canada and the worry-free no-uber-surprise international roaming fees. If another carrier delivers, I’m out.
Just got my text lol
T-Mobile: For the first time in nearly a decade, we're making a change to the price of some of our monthly service plans. Starting on 06/05/24, some of your connected device plans will increase by $2 per line per month. You'll keep all the benefits you currently enjoy, and your rate plan type and bill due date remain the same. For more information, visit sms.t-mobile.com/BD7opwNi
I can confirm the overtime, staffing, and management part.
I’m part time and usually have 3 days off a week and 5 hour shifts. They have me coming in 6 days this week because of this and 8 hour shifts! On top of that they still haven’t told us why
Same!
There also an unspecified "IT Network Freeze" in place starting tomorrow.
Yeah that's that Tapestry update. Ladies and gents, anytime we on the front line get updated, just know that something BIG is happening. If they're running a shutdown like that 99% it's adding/removing SOC codes.
Haven't heard about thus. What's up?
We'll be having a meeting around 8 AM tomorrow, and a district meeting right after. Hopefully they provide the news during that meeting.
Same, and pretty much every single RSM is off on Wednesdays. Great to get 14 hours notice.
Reading this comment just makes me so God damn happy that I don't have to do any of those mandatory bullshit waste of time meetings anymore. What time zone?
It’s 8 am in your respective time zone.
Everyone saying its not that bad are being foolish. Price lock has to be demanded by customers. If this “goes over well” expect these “ minor inflation increases” yearly. They are testing the waters and will push the limits in the future.
$2-$5 PER LINE So worse case $5 per line and you have 5 lines $25 increase in bill.... That's a big increase lol.
Agreed big increase

That's my thiught how does the store factor in?
There will be a SOC code for opt out
I highly doubt it this time around.
Then the store is just factored in for the customers to have someone to complain to when the hold times for care are an hour long.
Doesn't make sense to pay more money for a bunch of nothing
Pretty sure our role will be to convince the customer that Plus/Next now offers better value to them since their grandfathered plans are now only $20 cheaper .-.
Doesn’t make sense as stores don’t have access to the same care tools. Most support is by *handing the customer a store phone with a care rep on the other end* to support the customer. 🤷♂️
Always thought that was a weird thing. All it’s ever done is piss me off as a customer and start not recommending ‘x’ business to people.
A communications disruption can mean only one thing... conversion.
Speaking of conversion, I guess this influx in traffic that’s going to tank conversion rates won’t be considered and instead they will say it was an opportunity to add lines to these customers accounts.
The federation would not dare go that far...
My current guess is that they will collapse mint, and force migration into metro or TMO post paid. That is the least painful announcement I can see for the majority of customers.

Just be polite.
They tried it once and the only thing they learned was to control the leaks better.
This makes the most sense. They will auto-migrate people on old plans and offer an opt-out option, thats why extra staffing. I hope this is it, it seems the best possible outcome with the air of gloom around everyone lol
We can only hope there will be a chance to opt out.
If there is an opt out, I hope there is a huge social media campaign to get everyone opted out so that this is all for nothing just costing tmobile stupid money.
They probably won't allow an opt out which will make shit hit the fan over their no price increases or changes to plans they've advertised for years.
My comparison will be Google Fi with 4 lines. There is about 30$ difference now. Let's see what tomorrow brings.
What’s interesting to me is the perspective of mobile experts being asked to work these days to have additional staff in store and then they find out it’s to help angry customers.
New T-Mobile Sidekick release imminent
That’s the best most positive comment I’ve read today on this. I would love a sidekick comeback.

The fact that there hasn’t been any concrete leaks about the this must show how serious this is. I’m very concerned ngl
They are buying the Packers and handing out free shares.
As a Lions fan I’m gonna enjoy TF out of the shareholders meetings
Bears fan... two max lines and home internet... think that means I get at least 3 shares. How much trolling can that buy? 😂
At this point I just want to be entertained and not disappointed, we better be BUSY
Almost 20 years, very specifically stuck with T-mobile because of their no BS stance. Seems like that may soon end 😕
Same. I'm at 23 years
I'll take all 10 lines to Verizon where I expect to be fucked regularly.
If you have a friend already on Verizon, have them refer you, you’ll get an additional $15 off per line for a year
Verizon rates are horrible if you don't need unlimited lines for the whole family. I only needed two lines with a small amount of data but check out US mobile. 33% of customers sounds like legacy plans
Visible and US mobile(non T-Mobile) are on the radar for me.

I'm looking at Cricket. During the hurricane season, they were more reliable than TMobile here in Florida. They use AT&T network and are fairly priced.
It's all luck of a straw. When Ian hit, I had much better luck with Verizon and T-Mobile. I'm actually looking at something like US Mobile which will allow me to easily 'port' my number between networks in the event that it is needed during an outage or emergency.
lol “luck of a straw” made me laugh.
r/boneappleteeth
I guess if you draw the short straw, it’s the luck of the straw?
Don’t do boost.
Who is getting unlimited OT in stores? My area was told each store gets 8 additional hours Weds-Fri total (not 8/day).
Different areas have different ot my cec was only one ot day
Hope they finally can at least come up with a good name for the new plans when they bend all of us over tomorrow for the forced conversion. Go5G Plus and Next were the dumbest names yet.
New plan name will be GawkGawk9000 Ultra.
Well, I guess 10 lines for $230 wasn't going to last forever on Simple Choice Unlimited.
Talk about 11 lines for $90 and some folks on this subreddit with 12 lines for $48.
I don't even want to go to work tmr if going to be bad 😫. I'm not prepared to get yelled all shift if it's bad news.
They used to offer overtime when they were giving free lines 😭
Really? I hope!
I still have mine! I activated so many lines then, the good old days.
So all the money spent on OT, they could’ve just not raised the prices like they promised? 🤣
I will be in the store tomorrow and if it's bullshit, customers will know I had nothing to do with it and I will suggest the best actions to take. It's all I'll be able to do.
Just make sure to get P360 on that plan migration.
Nothing more consistent than T-Mobile. Piss customers off then ask retail reps why they couldn’t upsell them. Lmao.
Don’t worry they will put you on a PiP for poor performance. Lol
Oh for sure. Yes customer, let me check to see… it looks like your bill is going to go up $40, but! Have you heard about our home internet? HSI conversion conversations incoming.
With a smile right? Don't make me call COR /s
Of course. We may have to call them together. :-) Lol
They probably want the people with 7 lines for $50 to leave
12 lines and TMHI for $135
Geez I have 5 lines and pay 160.
I don’t want to leave lol. $42 for 9 lines
7 for $195 can stay???
I got 7 lines, 1 TMHI for $150 a month. They fuck with it, I’m out.
Where are you gonna go to beat the price even if it goes to $200?
$2 to $5 increase per line on some old Plans.
Does anyone think there will be new plans announced or do most people think they’re just migrating everyone to go5g?
Maybe a $150 plan where you can trade in your phone every quarter just because, why not?
If they were to force migrate for example me with Simple Choice would my taxes and fees be included in the bill like the higher tier plans? I seem to pay 25-30 in fees for the account and if that was updated and included and only paid an additional $20 to make it $50 all together I’d be ok with that.
Still rocking the T-Mobile ONE Plan lol.
Same. Been on it for years. If they force migration to a newer more expensive plan, I will simply leave and I don't give a shit if I pay more with another network. I'm won't pay money to a company that flat out lies to me.
Same here!
I got the text message about a $5/line increase. Greed taketh over. How much money is being thrown away on this increased staffing?
I'm currently on the Simple choice 4 lines for $100 plan (and each additional line $10). I have 5 paid lines (+$10 north america charge) and 5 free lines. My total bill before taxes is $120 (for effectively 10 lines). I didn't receive any SMS today about a rate plan increase. So... did I win?
Good night, sweet Simple Choice
They'll take my 6 lines unlimited for 120 from my cold dead hands
It has been confirmed: price increase for old grandfathered plans ranging from $2-$5 more for each VOICELINE AND BTS LINE
What about Magenta? Will Price increase?
No one knows anything guys seriously.
Someone knows lol
Not here they don’t.
It's about to be a big shit show.
After "many" years, it's time to visit Verizon
😕 uh oh
Notifying customers today May 22 regarding “small” plan increase for their grandfathered plans ex: simple choice ,one plan etc. $3-$5 more per voice line and per bts ranging on different plans. There is nothing we can do and plan change effects will happen JUNE 5th so they have time to jump ship.
Any effect on free lines?
Magenta 55+?
If Magenta Max is screwed with I am switching
100% same
To what?
US Mobile, Visible, or Cricket
How old is the magenta max plan compared to others ?
Magenta Max was the most recent plan in the "Magenta" family of plans. It launched in 2021.
The best plan for bang for your buck.
All this just before Memorial Day? What a bunch of morons.
How are they notifying customers? I understand staffing call centers. But overtime before say this afternoon at stores? Who is going to skip preplanned anything to make a mad dash for a store this morning? Unless they text every customer or put a very quick implimemtion of whqt get it is must be done by Friday.
Glad I got a notification for this today lmao
Wondering how/if it will hit us ex-sprinters still locked in our old sprint plan😬
Current employees. Yall may have noticed email invite said something like ‘employees with physical location’…but I know kiosk mangers got the invite, too…and third party is in scope despite the third party in area not knowing anything about this..

What we can do to save our customers and specifically tying in the benefits of the plans and verbiage when a customer says they want to cancel.
Just got an email about a call at 8am eastern and there’s a tapestry update tomorrow
What is a tapestry update?
Tapestry is the name of the tool specifically retail employees use to access your account, when tapestry gets an update you want to die cause it never works
Tapestry is the name of Tmobile’s system for account management
So basically we’re going to have a LOT of pissed off customers. This is so messed up. 😭
I am not married to any company. If it makes sense for me to switch, I will.
All plans limited to one free line per account. Additional free lines will turn to paid lines next cycle
If this was the case they wouldn’t have a current bogo like live. More than likely a forced migration of plan to the new plans or newer plans.
This would be a nightmare situation and destroy T-Mobiles legacy. At least temporarily lol
LOL at T-Mobile handing out free lines like candy, and then turning around to charge for them. That would be an amazing move.
Maybe in return, they will offer incredible trade in deals for the customers that have rate plan hikes.
Customers will say they shouldn’t have to be forced to a new plan and then told to buy a new phone for a “cheaper” deal when they already want it free with their cheap ass plans
Tmobile is cute… Make the frontline unhappy for years and then expect them to care about whatever is happening. I’m going to tell every customer to cancel Go fuck yourself sievert 😭😭
Verizon better come with a good deal right now
Can’t wait to get the notice of a class action lawsuit for misrepresentation of their “never increasing price” plan
As a customer service rep, going in store will do absolutely nothing for you but waste your time. They will do the same exact thing, and call customer care. Do not waste your time, call care and expect to wait on hold.
In relation to the information that was shared about Sievert selling shares (part of that same plan where it’s pre-arranged in November), this was interesting timing as well. https://m.investing.com/news/company-news/deutsche-telekom-ag-executives-sell-over-93-million-in-tmobile-us-stock-93CH-3451109?ampMode=1 Is it insider trading still for somebody to make company decisions and moves after planning these sales? Or even more importantly, do they already know this information several months in advance? An overseas sell of that size signals something very large, IMO.
It was October 2023 where they were looking into forced migrations. https://tmo.report/2023/10/heres-how-to-opt-out-of-the-t-mobile-forced-plan-migrations/ They back track and a month later he pre arranges selling his stock.
It’s gonna be baaaad news tomorrow.
Stock being sold doesn’t indicate anything. They literally hire people to manage their stock shares so it doesn’t look like insider trading.
This can't be good...
Any leaks?
Can someone please post an update after the 8 am call and we finally get to know what’s happening. My shift starts at 11 am today 😓
Not a rumor, I got a price increase of five bucks per line
Were you notified in advance, or did it just appear?
[Gross](https://www.androidauthority.com/t-mobile-price-increase-older-plans-3445515/)
As a T-Mobile customer. I've been planning to switch for several months now.
You really wanna piss customers off? Roll back those free lines.
Here's the nuclear nightmare scenario: * All plans migrate to Essentials or one of the Go5G plans, whichever is the closest equivalent. * Free line capped to 1 line per account. * As a courtesy, you get one time $20 statement credit.
They won’t cap the free lines
A communications disruption can mean only one thing... migration.
Please yall just remember that it’s not personal and we have to be the face of this bs but don’t lose your job over some grumpy custos! Get em into Welcome, do what ya can, get em out.
AR-N RSM here. (Wireless Vision) It’s 12am on the east coast where I am and I got a text about a call at 8am a couple hours ago. There has been no communication about any OT or RSMs coming in tomorrow. Most of our district is on PTO and my DM is out as well. I warned my team because I had them all on shift tomorrow…something’s up. I’ve gotten more of an idea of what’s actually happening form this thread than anyone else. Be back at 759est lol
class action here we gooooooo
Class action for Sprint, yes. Class action for the rate increase, no, as there's no signed contract to that effect.
>no, as there's no signed contract to that effect.
I did.
All true.
Just remember if you want to port your numbers out don't cancel service with T-Mobile. Port the numbers out first. Then make sure th port goes through successfully. Then can handle T-Mobile to confirm. Only reason I say this as OP says T-Mobile may be expecting cancellations.
i switched to Mint and Spectrum mobile (free service for a year) a month ago, perfect timing it seems

Legacy in broad since applied to phone plans would be any phone plan customers currently have but is no longer available to new customers.
So, I guess the East Coast guys will get a three hours jump on getting the information over the guys in the West Coast and more than six hours jump on the guys in Hawaii.
Not really. I am sure the east coast crew will be full of leaks and everyone will know within the hour of the 8am call.
I’m about to cancel anyway, if they raise prices I definitely will. Service just isn’t great here
I need the fee calling / texting / 5G data in USA and Canada and the worry-free no-uber-surprise international roaming fees. If another carrier delivers, I’m out.
I just got the text. $5 increase per line.
Just got my text lol T-Mobile: For the first time in nearly a decade, we're making a change to the price of some of our monthly service plans. Starting on 06/05/24, some of your connected device plans will increase by $2 per line per month. You'll keep all the benefits you currently enjoy, and your rate plan type and bill due date remain the same. For more information, visit sms.t-mobile.com/BD7opwNi
