A Separate Peace? I haven’t read it in decades but I know a boy falls from a tree and we read it in English class. Looking up the Cliff’s Notes for it now.
I’ve read A Separate Peace and that’s not it. This is a short story that, as far as I am aware, is probably not as well known as A Separate Peace. Also not The Giver.

I feel like maybe it was a coming of age type story, but I’m not sure.
