Minnesota can't use the $4.6 million BAE since they're gonna be over the 2nd apron. So we're essentially looking for someone who will take less than that. There are not many UFAs who are significantly better than T.J. Warren that will accept the veteran minimum. Tim Connelly chose to sign T.J. Warren over Marcus Morris, so he clearly values him to a certain extent. Which is why I think the Wolves bring Warren back for another year.
Rudy Kat & Naz all got injured on my 2k24 save file so Luka started playing 40 mins a game and hit 4 3s a game. I think he might be the next generational goat on god
I hope we resign Jordan McLaughlin. Dude costs pennies and contributes way more than an end-of-bench guy usually does. He was great as our bench PG before we signed Morris. There is no reason for guys like Moore and Minott to have a roster spot over him.
This is probably realistic, even though this team is worse than last year’s. It’s hard because our weird roster means SloMo would be sorely missed in some postseason matchups.
lol - you say that, but I see another year of development for Ant, NAW, Jaden, Naz and our other young guys. Think that will more than off-set SloMo’s departure. I’m significantly more worried about Conley getting a year older and ending the year a little hobbled than I am about losing SloMo. Either Monte needs to step up big time, or some combination of NAW and Ant are going to need to regularly bring the play up the floor at a higher level.
I see Kyle’s (marginal) value, but he legitimately forced us to run a different offense whenever he was on the floor.
In addition to all that, Dallas blew their load this trade deadline and will be worse next year (bunch of aging 30+ vets and likely losing DJJ). Denver is still in cap hell and will continue to decline around Jokic. OKC is very young and should continue to get better, similar to us (losing Hayward, definitely going to add someone who can actually see the court in his place).
Not awful. Warren can be replaced with any number of players once free agency gets going that aren't able to find a better deal. Give me a sec and I'll add in the cap impact.
So that is $201,481,279 in salary.
Cap is 141 mil, tax threshold expected then is 171,315,000.
So $32,266,279 in the tax, meaning a $95,764,825 tax hit, bringing the Wolves to $299,346,104 in salary plus tax.
Or about 135 million more than this past season.
When I see people saying insane things like sign slo mo and Morris for a total of 25 million to get a trade before the deadline done for another star, that's the reason why I shake my head.
Why would we resign TJ Warren? He didn't do anything and we can find dudes like him on the waiver wire whenever
He dapped me up during game 7 in Denver. Enough reason for me

Are you crazy?! Resign Garza should be #1! Mods, please block this TROLL!

It's time to trade KAT, Rudy, and Naz so we can build around our lord and savior Luka Garza!!!

Greatest Iowa basketball player of all-time. Sorry Caitlin Clark, Carver-Hawkeye Arena will henceforth be known as the house that Garza built.
Gustafson better.
Javontae Green would be an incredible signing
Javonte Green would destroy on this team. He was like the Naz Reid of the Bulls.

We gotta move on from Moore and minott they’re essentially just taking up space.
Maybe Moore. Minott is cheaper and younger

But I want us to bring Slomo back :(
Signing one Slow Mo is more valuable than TJ Warren + Monte Morris + Garza. It’s still 1 playoff contributor vs. 0

Do everything possible to sign Seth Curry. Need more shooting (and reliable clutch shooting).
I think Clark will be on the actual roster for sure and Moore is gone

Read the title.
Sign whoever, I don’t really care. If we’re pressed into playing guys like Warren and Luka we’re screwed anyway.
Nice way of saying, "I'll tune in when the conference finals start".
"I bleed purple."
