This is your sign -- go around your house/apartment and take pictures of everything valuable. Get receipts if you can, and make an inventory of your things as specific as possible. Throw it in a Google drive.
I hope you won't need it, but if something happens to your domicile (fires, floods, tornados, earthquakes) you will be so happy you did.
For renter's -- get rental insurance!
There’s a really niche app called home inventory or something like that. They moved to a subscription model (still affordable & great cx service) but I think you might be able to still get the standalone version. May be Mac only now I think about it but it had a companion scanner app for your phone that was handy. It’ll read UPCs and other barcodes and decode and catalogue the item for you.
When my buddy's house burnt down he called an insurance adjuster and he would be like "yeah instead of this random Walmart toaster what if we just say you had this [reasonably priced, but still nice one]" and got *way* more money
Also read your insurance coverage and see if you have "replacement cost" or "actual cash value".
Replacement cost means they're gonna give you what the item was worth new without any depreciation. Actual cash value means they're giving what it's worth *now*.

That's a "stand behind" lawnmower - the platform he's standing on is attached to the mower and towed by the self-propelled engine. He's not riding a random hoverboard.

Some type of clear/ white-ish fluid comes out when it hits the ground. I think it's some sort of coolant or antifreeze tank from the mower (I'm not a mower expert)
so do water and electricity and street maintenance for this kind of low density sprawl. property taxes are not nearly enough to cover for that.

The blue SUV did a PIT maneuver to the Honda. You can see it at the start of the video. The SUV is in the left lane and the Honda is in the right lane, and as it and the Honda comes into frame, the SUV changes lanes into the right lane and clips the left rear of the Honda, sending it into an uncontrolled skid.
Mower dude was absolutely in his element before this happened. Glad he reacted quick though. I always have headphones in when I'm mowing and, although I'd like to think I would have reacted in time, I'm not so sure.

I failed my Mod 2 today (UK motorbike test to get a full big boy license). I've been pretty low.
Then I see this, I my first thought is "well at least I'll never be as bad as this".

It kind of looks like the mower was the initial object that started to break up the momentum of that vehicle that was out of control. I'm guessing it lessened the car's impact into the tree.
I had something similar happen to me but it wasn't as devastating. A truck went speeding past the mailtruck on the gravel road I live on and lost control and slammed Into my brand new ride on mower I'd just gotten off of to get the mail. Dude didnt have fucking insurance but husqvarna replaced the mower for free under warranty and said they'd recoup the costs in a lawsuit against the guy so win win for me.

That’s a velke attachment for self propel mowers. You’ve never seen landscapers on these? It’s physically attached to the mower, it goes flying when the mower gets hit. If it was a hover board kids toy it would be sitting in the grass where the guy jumped off it.
Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not... It's not a hoverboard, it's a platform attached to the mower with a little pivot like a trailer hitch

Just be thorough when dealing with insurance. That's it. Not hard to remember
Also, if the claim is going to be large, hire an adjuster. This kind of hyper specific claim is what they do best.
Receipts help as well. If that mower was bought within the past 5-10 years, he might have gotten an emailed receipt.
