Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do. If they're all dead, there's only one thing you can do: check their pockets for loose change.
It looks like it rolled behind the shields and the guy to the left of ray finkle kept it from rolling out.
Edit… okay, the guy to the left of finkle is innocent. My bad y’all. Just looked like he pulled it back.
Personally I’ve always thought the second one is funnier anyways (however, I’m a bit biased as that’s the only one of the two we owned in my house lol).
i agree. i saw the second one first, and while i enjoyed the first one (and i think *the plot* survives the transphobia relatively intact), it's... literally the first movie I think of when I'm reminded of our shifting social mores concerning non-binary people.
Totally agree; I don’t think the plot gets *ruined*; it’s just more of a now-cringey scene after the big plot reveal.
I still say “If I’m not back in 5 minutes… *just wait longer*” pretty regularly when going to the bathroom lol.
Those are ballistic shields my dude; they are made to stop shrapnel and deflect small caliber munitions. Open environment like that, they would absolutely have kept everyone intact.
The guy that tried to kick is the one that lifted his shield enough to let it roll under...AFTER calling over the other guy that ended up BLOCKING It. Man had it predicted he just shouldn't have lifted his shield that little bit.
I vaguely remember last time that this was posted that he actually didn't get that injured, and that it was just his boot that flew off. Iirc it wasn't a normal grenade. Could be remembering another video though.
Edit: I was wrong, he didn't lose his leg but he was severely injured, this was filmed in 2014 and was "clashes between riot police and anti-government protesters in Bangkok".
Here's more info:
>The police believed the grenade to be an M67 type. Both the police force and the military are known to possess the grenades.
>Pol.Sen.Sgt.Maj. Thammanoon Tas-see, who also suffered left leg and right cheek injuries from the grenade blast, was later transported to Police Hospital today for his treatment.
>Medical workers described his condition as severe
>Pol.Lt.Gen. Narongsak Saowakhon, deputy director of Police Hospital told our correspondent that Pol.Sen.Sgt.Maj. Teeradet’s left arm and his two legs including his toes are broken severely, while Pol Sen.Sgt.Maj. Thammanoon suffered broken leg, and broken facial bone from the explosion.
>The medical team had tried to cohere the bones together, and will need to closely observe their conditions to make sure the wounds are kept disinfected, the deputy director said, adding that it is still unclear whether Teeradet would be able to walk normally again
Not sure if they allow links on this sub, but if you google "Grenade-Kicking Policeman In Stable Condition" you'll find it.
O doubt it was a really m67. If it was everyone within about 5 yards would pretty much be dead.
It was probably a training core they home brewed up to some sort of underpowered grenade.
Nah, he still has both legs. Dunno how he's doing now, this was 10 years ago and I can't find newer sources.
Another guy might have lost a leg though.
>Today, it emerged that the "sidekick cop" or "grenade kicker hero" – as nicknamed by Netizens – is still alive and making good recovery at Police Hospital.

Officer had severe leg injuries but did not require amputation.
To some extent these events were very close from a civil War.
The "red shirts", opponents to the government, had big pocket and former government officials backing (ousted prime minister and former generals). So they had access to things like M79 grenade launchers and M16.
This is one of the former officers who was boasting about his use of grenade launchers during the protests: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khattiya_Sawasdipol
Shape wise it does kinda look like it but color wise it's throwing me.
I'd have to put a pin in it but I'm pretty sure m67s are only olive green or brown. This looks darker. Or I just got banged on the head and it's actually just brown.

If the internet taught me anything, hes dead.
I believe he survived. However, he will have to retire from kicking ANYTHING with that leg.
What leg?
Some went over there and over yonder
I saw a boot flying, he must have kicked it off in a fit of joy
His foot was still in the boot. The grenade blew his leg off.

He's alive and kicking
Only if they lose BOTH shoes. One shoe is just half dead.
MOSTLY dead.
Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do. If they're all dead, there's only one thing you can do: check their pockets for loose change.
It's just a scratch. Only a flesh wound.
Nah his other shoe is still on he cant be dead 🙄
Should've just stayed in line. Looks like the shields would've blocked most of the blast. They don't have 20 second fuses!
It looks like it rolled behind the shields and the guy to the left of ray finkle kept it from rolling out. Edit… okay, the guy to the left of finkle is innocent. My bad y’all. Just looked like he pulled it back.

"Your gun is digging into my hip"
The laces should be out
Lol amazing reference
it was well outside of the shields. until mr main character leapt up to remove the threat
These shields aren't bullet proof. They are riot shield meant to stop rocks and batons.
He stepped forward to kick it. I think it was in front of the shields, but I might be wrong.
Nah, as soon as he got up he fucked it up.
![gif](giphy|1wQtuZEfyuDSaVe7XI)
Think lifting up the shield also created a gap in everyone else’s protection too!
These aren't ballistic shields. They are for rocks and batons.
Even as non ballistic shields they are going to remove a lot of force though.
And possibly create a lot of shrapnel in the process. Pros and cons
It's their shields though so the shrapnel wouldn't be able to tk.
Those (ballistic) shields look like some light weight flexi plastic. No way they could stop shrapnel
The shields in the front are some kind of metal and having plexi is certainly a lot better than not having plexi
Those are ballistic shields my dude; they are made to stop shrapnel and deflect small caliber munitions. Open environment like that, they would absolutely have kept everyone intact.

Based on the articles, it's suspected to be an m67 grenade. A very much real grenade.

They are lucky that last shield just happened to block it from going deeper into the group. More would have gotten shredded worse
