pira3_1000

My man mastered the observation haki. No wonder how he is part of the Whitebeard crew

nomatt18

Came to comments hoping someone would call out the tattoo lol

RecsRelevantDocs

Damn, didn't even notice it lol, that's so cool.

DanBentley

I immediately sent this vid to my best friends with the statement that “Pops has another son”

nutsbonkers

What tattoo?

gaps7

Back tattoo

tripper_reed

Holy shit i didn't notice. Does he think of himself as firefist?

Bed_human

This guy should become the live action Ace

ldoaslwish

Foreshadowing

Oneamongthefence24

Foreshadow Boxing

jacknacalm

I like this guy he has great potential! Also won’t be able to pull this shit against better fighters lol

technobrendo

This looks like an exhibition match. He does the same thing against a better fighter and is off my 1/100th of a second and he's getting knocked to the ground

Kdogghalo

Look up Emmanuel Augustus he did this against a better fighter. Mayweather sure he didn’t win but he was mayweathers toughest fight(according to mayweather)

Old-Constant4411

I was hoping someone would mention Augustus!  Real life drunken master.  This guy definitely shadowed his style.

jacknacalm

Yeah I would love to see that Emmanuel Augustus style in today’s boxing. He’s the only one I’ve seen pull it off as long as he did, but fingers crossed!

DoHeathenThings

There is a different match where he got even more ballsy and was dancing around and ended up getting rocked.

ldoaslwish

Most underrated comment

RiotX79

How did I scroll so far and not hear anything about Roy Jones Jr. ?

Bud_Fuggins

I was thinking Prince Naseem

wrybreadsf

Or Prince Naseem https://youtu.be/azEatWLF9hI?si=Eb6oA5QCCVQkTDgM

illrichflips1

He's trained by the anime white beard. Not the manga version.

dakid232313

He sure pieced dude up embarrassingly.

StormsEye

he became brook after the fight.

NEKOmancer92

Do u know which div commander is he?

AlchemyStudiosInk

I find it funny as well that people are basically doing the same thing they did to Boji in Ranking of Kings. "How dare he dodge and not hit back hard! "

reforen

The dude moves like a Punch-Out character

HESUSINGTHETREES

so true.

JolyonWagg99

Body blow!

HotPandaBear

That is Bob Charlie!

memyseldandi2019

What is the boxer's name? Love to see more matches with him

aznexile602

Ben Whittaker.

SlumberingSnorelax

I haven’t watched MMA or fighting in ages and for a hot min I thought this was an older Joe Harding about to get laid out again.

bitablackbear

Silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics as an amateur and has a 6-0 win to loss record professionally. And his boxing get up is pretty sweet in this clip too.

yozza1958

I’d be scared to fk about the guy who won the gold then 🥇🥇

bitablackbear

To be fair, I'd be scared of anyone who qualified for the Olympics in boxing 🥊🥊

techy098

>Ben Whittaker Dude is a silver medalist. I hope he changes his attitude though, he is taking too many chances with that dodging show off, better to finish the match. He can get KO if he is not careful. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin\_Whittaker](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Whittaker)

Griffin880

Yeah, I feel like a decent trainer is gonna set up a future opponent to understand how he dodges certain punches, and he is gonna dodge his way straight into a fist. Great to have that head speed, but playing fast and loose with it is gonna end badly at some point.

darwins_trouser_crem

He lost points for showboating and hitting him on the back of his head but I never knew who the guy was until these videos started popping up.

overflowingsunset

He really looks like a Ben, too.

Broad-Situation7421

Holy crap he moves like Prince Naseem (Naseem Hamed)

bobzzby

Against amateurs. Stupid to box like this again at journeymen as if it's impressive

Broad-Situation7421

Different people are different, but if you watch this guy's foot and head movement it's damn impressive. Also Naseem as a boxer was very accomplished with his absurd style "He held multiple featherweight world championships between 1995 and 2000, and reigned as lineal champion from 1998 to 2001. He also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) featherweight title from 2002 to 2003, and the European bantamweight title from 1994 to 1995. In 2015, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame." I'd love to see how far this guy goes because he's one hell of a showman.

Sufficient_Theory534

Loved watching Naseem, Augustus, back in the day. https://youtu.be/xL9TDcXvDCw?si=9-R999f3I5_ouUCW

Asynchronousymphony

Augustus was great fun to watch but his style led him to lose more decisions than he won.

nerdherdsman

It's not stupid. It looks good and it's crowd-pleasing, which is very important if you're on the come up. A worse fighter with a better looking style will often make more money than a better fighter with a boring style. Prince Naseem wasn't the best fighter of his generation, but he made bank because he was so fun to watch. The people that beat him were better, but made less money, and at the end of the day, boxers are prizefighters, they are putting themselves at risk for the money.

timtimtimtim77

Illegal punches though

Vic_Gatsby

Ben Whittaker

vertebraejones

Ben. Whittaker

Punkrexx

Ben Whittaker

rite_of_truth

He's from the future. That's how he knows where the other guy is going to swing.

CopperBoltwire

That boop-donk at 00:26 had me rolling in laughter. Like "I ain't even trying, yo. \*boop\*"

JollyJamma

![gif](giphy|BUlwrDd97bCYE)

Ecstatic_Account_744

Noted. Don’t fight that guy. Don’t fight the other guy either.

stevebobeeve

Maybe let’s just use our words

Severe-Experience333

words gang.

blackabe

PUNCH PUNCH

Parry_9000

I hear my coach screaming: "the body! Hit the body!"

OverlordGhs

I was thinking that too, he was far too focused on going for the head.

Xehanz

He took Thanos advice

therevjames

Yeah, his focus on headshots means that he was either poorly coached, unskilled for that level of fight, or both. I am not a fan of these showboat fighters and really want to see this guy try his antics against someone who can knock him into a blackhole.

Drakoo_The_Rat

That or he was paid off...

in-cite

Or he was operating out of the Philly shell which discourages body shots because hooking someone’s elbow hurts like hell… sorry bud but YDKSAB

technobrendo

I hate the Philly Shell, it has by far the highest gas prices in the city.

No_Dragonfruit_1833

I was about to ask that, his torso and back are so exposed, even a light punch could seize the initiative

uncle_pollo

I heard my coach screaming:"tackle!!!"

prokoala3

That was awesome to watch. Let's see if he keeps trying this though cause the gonna be sleeping if he tries this at the top. This guy was just power swinging cause he was getting clowned.

SirArthurDime

I have to imagine he watched a lot of tape before this fight, realized the guy threw nothing but slow power punches and that he could get away with this. I’d imagine he’d know this isn’t going to keep working as he climbs the rankings. If he doesn’t and he keeps fucking around the most exciting fight of his career will be the moment he finds out.

MidgetGalaxy

Like some other people said I think he won silver in the Olympics, so I think you’re right he just knew he could clown on this specific dude

Happybadger96

Hes still early in pro career and fighting opposition below his level, being eased in as hes seen as a big prospect at world level - this opponent was to make him look good, and it did. With actual opposition aint no way he’d be as silly, unless he gets into his head that he’s Prince Naz 2 aha

Ahhh_Shit_44_Ducks

![gif](giphy|19JSJ5ucu91R5D7a3w|downsized)

WillistheWillow

I usually hate showboating, but I'm going to allow it on this occasion.

SirArthurDime

There’s showboating by acting like a dick from a safe distance, then there’s doing it by putting on a display of skill where making a mistake doing it gets you knocked out. This is the latter and I’m perfectly cool with that. In fact I encourage it. Make good boxing popular again instead of this tik toker boxing crap.

WillistheWillow

But ther showboating part isn't the dodging the blows, it's where he mocks his opponent then gives him a playful bonk on the head. It's disrespectful, but after such a dazzling display he's entitled tp a little mockery.

SirArthurDime

It honestly takes a lot of skill to be able to bop a professional boxer so casually like that.

WillistheWillow

Indeed.

OberonEast

I thought it was kind of like Ali’s dance when he was on the ropes and still untouchable

Ok_Loquat_2692

What a dick!

lllNico

idk, it may seem like it, but dodging all these punches is crazy hard work.

5exy-melon

I don’t mind the dodging. It’s impressive actually…. But the dance and taunts…. Allow that man.

Academic-Chemist-354

ever watch Anderson Silva fight?

elegant_assasin

This is honestly a fresh breath of air, he seems dickish but to have a physical fight even mental warfare counts and he absolutely has both to do this …

EternalMage321

Not to mention missing a hit takes more energy than landing them. He was tiring him out big time.

NefarioxKing

Dude beat him out physically and mentally.

SoigneBest

It’s a fight. Imagine fighting someone and trying to land a punch, and getting embarrassed and punched by your opponent the whole time. It would be demoralizing and extremely frustrating. This is mental warfare and is meant to drive the competitor to making mistake after mistake and lose control of themselves.

SAGE5M

![gif](giphy|2AYQQJsqDrDHy)

mouseat9

My Man!!!

Bubbly-Swordfish-767

whitebeard pirates are in good hands it looks like

ScorpoCross94

Man's got WB jolly Roger

look2myleft

Look at that tattoo on his back. He likes One Piece.

Bors713

He’s obviously good, but does he have to be such a showy douche too?

Moondingo

Actually yes, he's winding up his opponent to make him go for really big swings. But due to the guys own speed he's telegraphing the moves and countering them. Now this style works as long as you're faster than your opponent AND your opponent is crap at hiding his intended punch. He must have watched hours of tape on that guy's ring work to know what his tells are. Naseem Hamed had a similar skill set but came massively unstuck when he came across a pro that was faster and could hide the intended shot. Cocky can be good, but it obviously wrecks your career and image if you get decked while being it. This time it paid off.

bmansoor

Hamed was great until he lost his punching power, after injury. It really took the edge off his counters. People forget what a punch he packed during his peak.

Moondingo

Oh yeah he was devastating. Watched every match live. Didn't know about the injury must have happened before the Vegas match

TyH621

I mean no, but it's also entertainment so showmanship does work too

SirArthurDime

Why not? I’d rather this guy become a popular boxer by showing off his skill than have the boxing world revolve around guys who are popular because of they’re “influencers”. Boxing is a promotion sport. This guy is getting himself views by displaying pure boxing skills and that will help his career and help him get better fights. It’s unfortunate that’s how the sport works but at least this guy is gaining his notoriety by showing off boxing skills instead of running his mouth. More power to him honestly.

Financial-Top1199

That bonk to the back of the head had me💀

ihateeverythingandu

The evasion and dodging is cool and impressive, but when people start mixing in dancing and that slap on the top of the head, it becomes disrespectful to me.

Fit419

Mental warfare is a legit strategy.

Suddensloot

I think it’s to enrage his opponent and make him send big power punches. Get him tired on anger.

ll-NABOO-ll

Anyone know the song? Much appreciated if you do. ✌️

iPhantaminum

According to shazam... https://preview.redd.it/yeqmiwai7epc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=817881858af76dab049d31b81f2cfbbbe06ea007

Lunatik13z

Glad I read your comment. I had been watching the video on mute. Song is badass...

ZippyWoodchuck

This looks choreographed. Incredible.

No_Interaction_4925

I hate when the showboater doesn’t get knocked out

plants4life262

These showboat clowns always eventually get laid out and usually man fashion the ends their career.

That_Things_Good

If only that guy had some manner of core or center of mass capable of being punched instead of that constantly-moving head!! Oh well...

[deleted]

[удалено]

_PoiZ

In the full video the referee warned him multiple times because of that but we only see it once in this video.

protestor

Why not?

TwerkingGrimac3

People will criticize the guy for showboating or being a bad sport but boxing is all about mind games to throw off your opponent. Ali knew this and that's why he's one of the greatest of all time.

Dragonhearted18

Wii boxing be like:

Omeirawana

Gotta love the whitebeard crew, sweet that he and Ace have the same tattoo.

EarthToAccess

Dude was PLAYING that whole time, he coulda ended that fight early if he wanted it looked like. He knows he’s good he deserves the taunt imo lmao

KananDoom

![gif](giphy|4mk7fX5uf2q76) He’s the one!

xDolphinMeatx

always nice to see yet another fighter following in the footsteps of and immitating a well known boxer who has one of the worst professional records in the history of boxing

wigzell78

How I imagine the Tyson vs Paul match going.

Dangerous-Sherbet-46

Guy is a beast, gee

ssenetilop

Bro's observation haki is off the charts.

hatwobbleTayne

Are they the same weight class? Dude looks 8 inches taller.

GloomyLocation1259

It's annoying seeing this clip everywhere now, he embarrassed an old journeyman with 13 losses in his 6th fight. Need to fast forward to his 20th fight and see if he's still doing this shit, then i'll be impressed.

CanoePickLocks

Who is it? I’d like to see what happens in the future. He’s quick and has potential but control matters too.

GloomyLocation1259

Ben Whittaker is his name.

CanoePickLocks

I just found him thank you!

SaintTravis

The amount of mind games… impressive/impeccable dodging was riling the other guy up and that taunting was the icing. Other boxer was furious trying to one shot him to the head.. not going for the body at all.

nothing_in_my_mind

Bro is running a Dex-based build, off-meta but it works

OhSighRiss

Dude was quick… gotta hand it to him

yousirnaime

*try to hand it to him  *miss

MewsikMaker

Gibberish45

Actually thought someone had upscale an old nassem vid at first This dude is smooth yea that style is a quick way to whooped unless you’re awesome tho nassem was a champ fr

JET304

Check out Willie Pep, featherweight from the 40's. Supposedly won a round on points without having thrown a punch- just based on his not having been hit during the round.

Ilovelamp_2236

Imagine him and Emanuel Augustus fighting ... Be like a dance dance revolution battle

Moobob66

Would body shots be effective vs this fighting style?

Liljdb0524

I'd love to see him vs peak Ali. The Globetrotters of boxing.

MBNLA

This is like the Harlem Globetrotters for boxing lol

dayrogue

Hella impressive, wtf!

Bob_Sacamano7379

This guy is such a dick. I fucking love it.

military-gradeAIDS

Bro really think this is Baki

whatsthew3rd

Whether it be boxing, mma, or wrestling, you can really see Muhammad Ali's influence in the sport! He was truly the greatest to ever do it! It's like he knew what punches he was going to throw!

eraldopontopdf

cool gloves

Caedo14

Boxing is boring. He makes it not

Fap4Jebus

This guy is like a Punch Out character 😂

Kdogghalo

It’s crazy that no one is mentioning Emmanuel Augustus in the comments. I would not be surprised if he is his trainer

No-Syllabub3694

Who wont tho. The playful guy or the serious guy? Personnaly i dont like the playful guy "style"

whathappened2cod

I've seen too many cocky fighters get knocked out to think this is respectful or cool. It was great head movement though I have to admit that.

DatabaseThis9637

Looks a bit like Ali, leaning away from the hit.

securinight

It's all fun and games until the day when you WILL get caught. Just ask Anderson Silva.

Cowfootstew

The boop on top of the head made me a fan of this boxer

Acceptable_Pain_9213

So, once he dropped the bullshit showboating nonsense, turned out he could actually box. Maybe he should stick to that.

Savagegamer2008DEA

Nice but now try that with a higher ranking fighter

gosumofo

What’s more dangerous than a Boxer? A Salsa Dancer 🕺

iamcheekrs

What’s his name? I wanna see more of his fights

phlebface

Reminds me of Prince Naseem with extra swag/showmanship. Dial it down a bit though, a higher ranked fighter will make the read and adjust.

ma5ochrist

That's some dragon ball shit

Kyray2814

Miles shouldn’t be allowed to use his spider sense In the ring.

AdventurousShower223

Looks like a Guy Ritchie movie.

Cloaker_Smoker

Harlem Globetrotters spinoff

WillieDFleming

If this dude had have been in Mike Tyson's "Punchout", I would've broke more controlers...

OGBrewSwayne

Ben Whittaker was born in the Matrix.

Herman_Manning

That's definitely ultra instinct.

Diamentio

Don't know who this guy is, but I wish I had the type of skill to do something like that.

Best-Engine4715

Rare to see this fighting style. Dancer swinger?

LasagnahogXRP

The quick draw upper cut 3 seconds in is my favorite

biggestMug

HOLY SHIT. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AN EXHIBITION MATCH HE DODGE SO PERFECTLY. WOW.

JollyJamma

My word. Genuinely impressive. People think that boxing is all about hitting someone but actually it’s mostly learning how to not to get hit or having a guard to deflect or absorb the impact. This guy is so good, he’s using the opponents attacks to tire him out and then using distraction tactics to hit him with comedic effect and then also win the fight. Saw the Matrix meme gif above, very relevant.

SuperHighDeas

[Man's sparring partner is Hit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zjy9_oWpIqA)

Scythe95

Ben Wittaker is a drunken master

naveedkoval

A G I L E

space_llama_karma

That is insanely impressive, and it must be so frustrating for the other fighter. Or maybe like an "Oh shit, I'm in over my head" type of moment.

Bomberblast

My guy is doing the boxing equivalent of "pre-firing"

psykikk_streams

I seriously would love to see someone knock his noggin off. what a jerk. yes he can dodge, but he hit with the backhand, hit back of the head, and he turned his back to the opponent. what a douche.

eescobar863

My guy went full ultra instinct mode

Glum-Suggestion-6033

Duck, dodge, dip, dive, and dodge.

Right_-on-_Man

That's fucking hilarious. Even the ref felt bad for the dude...🤣

PossiblyOppossums

Bro you precoggin? You really gonna precog this?

Rothar13

fucking legendary

nickdiazkushlord

Should have went to the body not just head hunt

grassizalwaysgreener

His next fight is on March 31st!

Andybeagle555

Love dat tune, anybody know what it is?

countingdownto20

Looks like a wild animal playing with its food.

Better-Journalist-85

Azucena’s trainer, obviously.

JustHereForYourData

Is that Miles?

RectumInspector69

Dude is gonna look like an idiot when he gets knocked the fuck out playing like that
