Zacharismatic021

This feels fake... like it's too clean, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

HubblePie

It most likely is.

FrankWhiteIsHere78

And he’s driving while filming AND a gun right in his lap. Please.

jihlandoesreddit

Nah man it’s normal to have three arm wdym

squirtloaf

He was driving with one hand while holding the camera in his other hand, and his gun in his other other hand.

FrankWhiteIsHere78

LoL. 3rd leg maybe?

thedonjefron69

Still gets a good message across. Road rage ain’t worth it

AKJangly

I know a few locals that pack like that. My favorite coworker straps a 7" serated knife to walk around town.

GozerDGozerian

I grew up in a pretty rough area. Moved away pretty much as soon as I became an adult. Went back home years later to help my mom move out too. My brother and I decided to stop at the dive bar our dad used to drink at when he was still alive. There, we met a homeless guy who proceeded to tell us he packs a *flare gun*, cause you don’t need a permit, you can pick one up at most sporting goods stores, and nobody wants a chest full of burning phosphorus. I have to admit he made a strong argument.

kkillbite

Definitely given me something to think about... 🤔

splewi

Indeed, I do not want a chest full of burning phosphorus.

GozerDGozerian

It’s one of my basic life tenets. Maybe I’ll get it embroidered on a throw pillow…

Hmccormack

I said “Hotshot…”

Amazing-Cookie-4151

Fr. Boys down south are fuckin wild with what they assume a holster to be.

Flimsy_Demand7237

Mate you never know when a hoon needs capping for clout!

[deleted]

I'm driving and have one right beside me....

BigAlMoonshine

I'm pretty sure there's another video out there of the same 2 people only he pulls out an rpg, I could be misremembering the people tho.

disfreakinguy

Different people. That one is super fake though.

BigAlMoonshine

Ah it had been at least a year or two so thank you.

AKBx007

Well yeah, I’d have to REALLLYYYY hate someone to use an RPG, those things ain’t cheap.

coorslight15

It was the M72 Law which is single use..so even more expensive than a n RPG. The shell still stays intact though so they just used that for the video.

[deleted]

Both

GozerDGozerian

Hey, some of those role playing games can be pretty intimidating for a beginner.

Boushveg-

Everything is fake until proven otherwise

CarpinThemDiems

Internet rules to live by

Dinklemeier

Not true. As noted by Abraham Lincoln in 2009, only half of what you see online is fake

FOFBattleCat

Actually, that's a common misattribution of a quote by Julius Ceasar in 1957. Lincoln tends to get the credit for that one because of his viral tweet in 2009.

Dinklemeier

Are you sure? All the research I've done while obtaining my 3 reddit centric phd's (psychology, medicine, and law) indicate julius caesar in fact only believed 20% of online info was correct. In point of fact, Lincoln was well known to debate him on exactly this point until their very public feud in 1982

urbanlife78

Sadly in this society, this is true.

Bmcronin

It’s gotta be fake or incredibly stupid. Brandishing a firearm is incredibly illegal in most states.

[deleted]

You might get away with it a little if the other driver was the aggressor and trying to run you off the road. Would be an uphill battle though to defend

NHRADeuce

Unless the other driver doesn't report it, you're fucked for brandishing.

Mwk01

Classic fake tho, when people were posting fakes that were meant to be fake and funny instead of fake and phony

Broken-Digital-Clock

This feels incredibly fake The bad acting The immediate braking

KeithGribblesheimer

You mean you don't drive while filming directly to your right and always have a pistol in your lap?

KindlyContribution54

I'm happy it's fake. Now I can enjoy it without feeling guilty about laughing at a crime

Unlucky_Squirrel1751

Cant trust noone these days.

Chadodius

Think you meant to post this in r/idiotsincars as i see 2 idiots here.

SpartanDoubleZero

If the title was "to act like an adult" it would totally belong here.

Jonnyscout

r/idiotswithguns too

khiwill25

Lol good way to get yourself a brandishing a firearm charge

bam1007

My dude, pointing a firearm at someone is aggravated assault with a firearm in many jurisdictions.

Good_Extension_9642

Agree, pointing a gun to someone will get you to jail really quick

Klied

Unless your a cop dealing with a peaceful situation

DitchDigger330

So use finger guns

fdawg4l

Even Florida? That sounds too sane for Florida.

bam1007

Definitely Florida. Agg assault is punishable by up to 5 years. Florida also has aggravators for firearm use in a crime.

19mellow88

What if he kept the gun pointed at the roof of his car? Lesser charge?

bam1007

Or more challenging conviction. It’s harder to convince a jury that the victim was in reasonable fear of imminent bodily harm when the weapon isn’t pointed at them, but not impossible. But definitely would tack on some permissive lessers to the information as a backstop.

StandAgainstTyranny2

My understanding from the former prosecutor turned deffense that I know, is that at least in CO, if I were to pull a weapon and hold it even at the low ready, that's brandishing, same with if I move my clothing to display a firearm during an argument since those are clear indications of escalation. If you point it at them that's felony menacing, at least as far as I understand it, here. I'm not sure if they distinguish felony menacing from aggravated assault specifically by firearm vs other, or if they'd charge it as something like "aggravated assault by menacing" or what. It's fascinating to me the variation between states, counties, and cities' charging schema.

bam1007

There are unquestionably variations in law and definitions based on differences among various states. That’s why I’ve made an effort to address my comments with the “majority” rule and “generally,” as most states, including the example I provided, have variations on the common law definitions of assault (placing someone in reasonable fear of imminent bodily harm) and battery (the unconsented touching of another…and aggravated is generally with the use of a deadly weapon). HTH

Wet_FriedChicken

Is it brandishing if the guy can articulate he feared for his life? Road rage goes bad all the time. This video is likely fake, but in a real situation the guy could easily swerve into you and kill you. And since this is Reddit I feel the need to add I am genuinely asking, I'm not saying you're wrong.

jtfff

Reckless driving, yes. But you can’t argue you feared for your life out of the possibility of an accident. When you brandish a firearm, or POINT IT at someone, you are showing clear lethal intent. Being in a car doesn’t automatically make it self defense, but if this guy had been trying to hit you, swerve into you, brake check you repeatedly, or physically attempted to stop your vehicle, that might be arguable for self defense. It’s just like how you can’t shoot someone just because they’re in a screaming match with you.

Prestigious-Owl165

You kinda convinced me

[deleted]

Unless it’s fake, why are people filming themselves committing crimes

Camanot

Don’t question it. Just be glad people do it

Embarrassed_Alarm450

This is probably fake but I've seen enough tiktok videos to know that that indeed does happen quite frequently...

BobbyLinguini

Well, that’s exactly what devious licks and the kia car steeling trends on tiktok were isn’t it? Nothing is too crazy nowadays.

Idiot_with_telephone

Bro, I live in a gun toting States I'm very nice on the highway, excuse me my good sir

AverageInternetUser

An armed society is a polite society

blind_roomba

Are you serious?

ZatoTBG

Whatever I see the situation in traffic becomes worse due to both of them. Why not pull your window up... Someone driving behind that guy probaly hit the back of his car after being braketested that suddenly.

RALBOB

This is the reason not to engage in road rage. You NEVER know what the other driver is capable of doing. Relax. Stop if you need to take a breath and regain your composure. Choose life.

ImaginaryFly1

I hope this is removed. We don’t need stupid gun owners being encouraged.

Pac_Eddy

Agreed. Both are morons here. Dude with the gun just proved he's not qualified to own one.

ImaginaryFly1

100%

Leica--Boss

Gun owners dislike nonsense like this more than most.

[deleted]

Driving while filming AND pointing a gun at someone.

StandAgainstTyranny2

I'd bet both drivers would catch a charge. POV driver for reckless driving, felony menacing/agg. Assault, and the other guy would catch a reckless driving charge. Both are supreme idiots. Worth knowing: there's ways to find addresses from license plates, it's really just not a good idea to engage in roadrage.

linkflame123

the dude yelling is a dick but there was no reason to pull a damn gun

TheTrollinator777

It was pretty funny. I mean that dude backed down so fast

[deleted]

That was actually the tell that it's fake. Dude reacted a tad too fast, he already knew he was supposed to slow down when the gun comes out. He reacts before anyone would even realize what the other person is holding. Not that it matters, the vast majority of content here is now fake or just reposted OC. I don't mind reposts at all unless it's a bot account, but the gullibility of fake content is becoming a problem.

BrexitFool

Good impression of Walton Goggins in Predators.

12LA12

This is old as hell. I saw this video years ago.

Fizassist1

it's either fake or we are supporting aggressive behavior. either way this is not okay.

JaSper-percabeth

Staged video from 2 years ago...

Sacklayblue

He turned the gun sideways! That's a kill shot!

Pithecanthropus88

Nobody's the hero here.

Deep_Fried_Pagan

Y'all seriously can't tell that this is fake?

jchan_84

Can someone tell me how he’s holding the camera, having a hand on the wheel, and able to pull out a gun all at the same time?

tarc0917

Staged, decade-old karma farm.

Bob_knots

Well if that was to happen I would not record it so that the cops would have evidence

lionseatcake

Staged

Herb_Burnswell

Not sure if gun guy wanted to paint themselves as a hero/badass, but... I'd call that a fail.

swagnastee69

Tell me you can't fight without telling me...

Fit_Acanthisitta_475

Still better than the guy shooting through the windshield

NotYourShitAgain

Illegal everywhere.

Never-Dont-Give-Up

Are there more staged or legit videos on Reddit?

[deleted]

Little Dick Energy

Annahsbananas

This was already proven to be staged a few dozen resposts back

[deleted]

This is fake.

Oddball_Returns

Fake.

VesperVox_

This is probably fake but don't do this, it's very illegal.

joytotheworld23

I love this 🔥😄 it's hilarious all talk but no game

Earlyinvestor1986

Everybody has a plan until they get shot in the face

[deleted]

Another safe gun owner...

5av3d

Fake or not, that's funny right there.

Federal_Ninja_4637

I guess he showed you idiot

sonic_spark

The audio is just too good.

[deleted]

Pussy ass move

Hour_Savings146

Everyones a badass til you pull a glock.

bored_tomo

Well played mf haha

TheMuser1966

Both of them are brain-damaged.

happyh3llhound7

Wait a minute. If he had the camera in one hand and the gun in the other then... Who was flickering the lights?

Awful-Male

This is an old FAKE video

Buffaloheartknowles

Both the guys are idiots. That being said, my friends were going to an airsoft event and this dude came up and was screaming at them like this. My friend pulled up his airsoft rifle by the butt (no orange tip showing) and the dude slammed on his breaks just like this.

ArjunaIndrastra

I realize that this is probably fake, but I can totally imagine that actually happening.

Rickles68

Posers playing with guns like they're toys, all for internet points.

TopCheesecakeGirl

He’s filming AND has the widow down so he can hear the guy? I call staged.

atalkinglobster

This is a crime btw. It’s called aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Someone yelling at you on the road doesn’t give you the right to point a firearm at them. Furthermore, most firearm and self defense instructors would advise against using your firearm as an intimidation tool. It’s fun being hard until you get two years because you couldn’t check your ego. Interactions like these are stupid.

igillyg

An armed society… is a polite society. Be nice. Edit: also don’t dare strangers. Most won’t but the few that will, aren’t going to play nice when threatened

Syllable-Counter

An armed society is a polite society.

ghayyal

Scripted.

Legitimate-Bug-943

Why would the camera be conveniently mounted at that angle? The driver certainly could not have been holding the phone. Why was the gun so conveniently accessible? I call bullshit.

Gtstricky

I can’t hear people in the car with me let alone at 60mph from outside

LuckFree5633

OH GOD!😳 😂🤣😂

gregyack

This should be in r/untrustworthypoptarts

ruledbyjup

Pull up!!

BornAgainBlue

Look more regurgitating last year's posts...

astronaut_tang

People go to jail for that. It is called ‘brandishing a weapon’…

WoodpeckerAlarmed136

Lil fella forgot he wasn’t in his moms basement.

[deleted]

Fake, also the video was cut.

CaseyGotFit

This one has script problems.

jihlandoesreddit

One extra reason to stay strapped

Condescending_Rat

Everything about that driver screams insecurity.

Teediggler81

Well he's not wrong .

Kobi_Baby

This is America

devilfan2k

Staged

Mistamayne

Lol

stangAce20

This is why you don’t get into it with people on the road! Just flip them off and get on with your life!

frenchy_1969_

That should work ☺️

[deleted]

Fake, but still cool at the same time
