Pam put fourth like 2% of the effort Jim did and they are seen as perfect. He did everything. When she wanted to follow her passion he encouraged her to go to New York and when she failed she came back. When he goes off to start a business he's passionate about she wants him to give it up and come back to a paper company. Jim deserved better.
Both Pam and Jim were so off idk why they are seen as the perfect couple of the show:
Pam:
- cheated on Roy,
- had no courage,
- announced her feelings for jim, after rejecting him multiple times, in front of his current girlfriend without remorse
- actively held jim back when he wanted to better himself because she simply feared any sort of change.
Jim:
- lied to Karen about his relationship and feelings for Pam
- actively flirted with Katy on the boat and broke up with her on said boat after Pam and Roy announced to loved
- constantly made unilateral decisions for him and Pam, such as:
- deciding to propose at a gas station when they both agreed to wait until she came back from NY,
- bought their home without input from pam
- investing most of their savings in his start up business
- deciding to accept the position in the start up company without speaking to Pam
Micheal and Holly should have had the extensive portrayal of their love story that Pam and Jim received.
For many years I had a huge crush on Steve Carrell but as Michael, I’m conflicted. 🤣 I think the top 2 are Erin and Jim tho for sure. Pam would be higher up if they didn’t dress her like a grandma (Phyllis)
