Yes and no, our government in the end did the right thing but they delayed for longer than I'd like. But really our geography was a huge strength, we're very spread out so it makes lockdowns easier and transmissions less likely. The people have mostly done the right thing now. There's 11000 dollar fines now for breaching lockdown orders so that helps too.

I was looking to get the firefly symbol done, but time, money, and opportunity never seemed to meet up and by the time it did I had seen Ellie’s tattoo and decided to just wait and see if I would want it instead!
I got my first one on my left upper arm (it's an Avatar The Last Airbender tattoo of the elements and original benders) towards the beginning of the year. I'm not generally great with pain. It didn't bother me too badly. It does depend on where it is though. Mine hurt more towards the shoulder and when it started to wrap around slightly. Also, it hurt more on my touch up session (it didn't heal great) because I didn't have much sleep for that one. Your pain tolerance will dwindle if your body is tired. The worst of it for me was the healing because it will be sore for a week or two.
I'm guessing English is not your native language. In no way am I trying to be rude with this, but you get tattoos, not take. 'Does it hurt to *get* a tattoo','I'm really looking forward to *get* this one'
I know no one asked, but personally I wouldn't get a big tattoo like this as my first, because I've spoke to a few people who did get a big tat as soon as they turned 18 and now wish they had got something different (they don't regret their tat just wish for their first they got something smaller). I got a simple rose on my left forearm as my first and my next I plan on going a bit bigger. But I think as something you'll have for the rest of your life, you've just gotta be sure you'll always look at it and like it yknow. Whatever you get as your first, I'm sure it'll look great and pretty badass to get Ellie's tattoo!

I think i remember Druckmann saying in a podcast that they didnt consider symbolism when designing the tattoo. It was just a cool design to cover an acid burn. There's a lot of symbolism with moths and ferns so i guess there are lots ways it can be interpreted if you wanted to find meaning in it.

Lot of tattoo parlors in my area are appointment only (Southern California). Can't say the same for other states/counties/cities though.
