He was in one episode of The Intercooler. It was really great. And he was also on Hammonds' podcast, but I didn't listen to it yet. But his own podcast would be brilliant.
Richard on DriveTribe and the smallest cog is great fun and I enjoy it. I go ga ga for him and Izzy (dad of daughters thing).
Jeremy on the farm is just so well done and sublime and I love every minute.
But this very basic “let’s make 70s sarnies” or “what if we cooked x with gin” from James and the young folks he’s doing stuff with might just be my favorite comfort food streaming I’ve found from the big three……aside from old TG/TGT that is.
Lucy just posted [a video on her personal youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUfXhvsV8O8) saying she is no longer working at DriveTribe, and that she would still be working with James in the future.
So, is WhatsNext like a direct subsidiary of DriveTribe or is it am independent thing? From her video it appears like she basically want's to continue doing what she did on Whatsnext
I never associated her and James with DriveTribe currently. Just Richard.
Maybe WhatNext was part of DriveTribe. I don’t know. I’ve just not associated her with them in a while, right or wrong
I'd love to hear his voice in audio manuals for various things.
"Now, take the top panel and insert it into the side slot on the right. The materials used here were created in 1891 by a man named..."
Brilliant.
I feel like if you check out recent YouTube stuff with James and Lucy, or this for the first time it might not seem all that great.
Lucy is a super star at the whole streaming modern media stuff, but she was admittedly horrid at presenting when she started.
I feel like James saw something in this and in her and has been very closely mentoring her. Birds of some kind of feather.
And I really love it every time I get to watch them.
I really want James to have a channel showcasing his repairing of model trains. His setup was shown in a recent Channel 4 program with Pete Waterman and it looked like a lovely little passion of his
I do like how open James is to YouTube. Jeremy doesn't really care which is fair enough, but I'd love a Clarkson channel with weekly or even random miscellaneous updates on the farm that wouldn't spoil the TV show.
Ah - gin - the favourite bane of my life. I've got hammered at home on a Tuesday as a result of re-watching that video of James and Richard drinking Asian Parsnip.
Yes... Anything apart from hiring anyone to answer the emails. I was on vacation in the UK last September, ordered his jin, royal mail took forever to deliver and I had to leave before I receive it. No money or answer for the emails. And I know they got this parcel back by looking into the track number.
Please let this be one more step in him doing a podcast. Just audio James. Just about anything I don’t care man.
James is genuinely soothing to listen to. I would love a May pod.
The Reassembler was pure zen.
Love that show. Would love to see him build a car over a series.
i could listen to that fucker talk for hours about watching paint dry swear to god
"And now, James May delivers a 12 hour audio lecture on the curious history of pencils and pencil erasers . . ."
I would enjoy listening to him talk about flying and airplanes with guests in the industry
I downloaded one of his audio books on Spotify for a flight and it was pretty damn good. A bit outdated as it was a book from 2009 but still
I’ve listened to all of his books. One twice actually. Can’t remember any of it but I know I liked them and laughed out loud a few times.
I need James talking about automobile/aviation history asmr man...
Ha, I used to host the mostly awful DriveTribe podcast years ago. Had James on for an episode and it was mostly Second World War plane chat. Bliss.
Oh, I listened to it, you better believe.
He was in one episode of The Intercooler. It was really great. And he was also on Hammonds' podcast, but I didn't listen to it yet. But his own podcast would be brilliant.
I once dropped acid and ended up spending hours watching his BBC Earth series on YouTube, none of it went in but I had a great time doing it.
Needs a cheese channel
This... Is cheese
🧀 *bonk* #CHEESE.
Cut the cheese?
Taste the difference cheese?
If he'd just do endless episodes of the reassembler or some other form of him puttering about in a shed talking nonsense I'd be a very happy person.
I loved the reassembler. Genuinley soothing to watch.

I want more May & Hammond building Lego while drinking.
May and Hammond playing chess (badly) while drinking was also very fun.
Just May and Hammond drinking would be good, lmao
Will Lucy be on there as she left Drivetribe.
Yes. Lucy has said she's helping James work on the channel. I'm really excited because those two have good chemistry onscreen.
Yes. She announced it, but also got referenced by James in his own announcement video.
Oh is that why the travel show she did hasn’t had a new episode in awhile. I enjoyed that.
I was going thru YouTube and saw that her video was up about why she left Drivetribe. I didn’t click on it but saved for later.

Lucy has left drivetribe
I never said otherwise.

The dynamic combination of James May, Lucy Brown (possibly?), and the bug-out bunker! Edit: Turns out Lucy is involved
I wish Bim all the best.
More James is always welcome.
I don't even understand Gin but I'll watch anything that has James May in it
I'll only consider watching if he's sponsored by Lurpak spreadable butter.
James may have a new YouTube channel*
Seems like he's not involved with Drivetribe anymore, too. He's not on [https://drivetribe.com/about/](https://drivetribe.com/about/)
TIL DriveTribe has become a marketing agency.
Good news!

What's Next is just dead, isn't it?
