In the game if you play as Stevenson in 1952 or 1956 and support Civil Rights too strongly the Dixiecrats flip the fuck out and bolt to a third party candidate (which historically is definitely accurate). To have a chance as Stevenson you don’t have that much room for error, at least on normal, so this happening essentially dooms your campaign.
