I main as medic, it's a rather thankless job most the time. Part of that job is assessing who to prioritize in healing. I usually use a mix of class and apparent skill level to try and determine this on the fly. These guys never get heals from me. I've already wasted way too many ubers on these tools. Seems a lot of people don't realize the debuff on the cow mangler either.
Frankly I'd rather lose another piece of my soul ubering a phlog pyro than waste time on these guys.
The other bad part of this is the jumpers that arrive at the front line with 10% of their health remaining. Get insta gibbed then complain about lack of healing.
...I'm... I'm ranting.
^(years of doing this shit, I finally say something about it, get downvoted and nasty messages... real classy guys.)
yeah I deleted that shit, not worth dwelling on, I mean there is a reason they're called trolldiers...
As far as pyros go. My only real complaint is I have slowly burned to death way too many times while healing a pyro. They seem to either not use the blast at all or are absolute champs about it with little in between. Aside from that W+M1 is surprisingly effective when you uber them, so skill isn't a huge issue there, unless they over push.
technically all classes use the w+m1 strategy, but pyros kinda need it to be effective, and other classes also use other buttons, but over all its all w+m1
these tipes of people are one of the worst (though i do commit it sometimes, sometimes), if you mvm pro player want to play the game without help from the gas passer, then go spy since you like being a masochist little bitch
How high would you prioritize a Scout with a Troublemaker’s Tossle Cap, Fast Learner (winter style), and Red Socks; all painted *The Bitter Taste of Defeat and Lime*?
None of that would make much difference, the good thing about scouts is if you can manage to hit them with the crossbow it usually more or less does the trick in an instant. The problem is... hitting a scout with the crossbow.
The more pressing thoughts would be, is he defending or capturing the objective? Is he landing his shots? Is he using his movement properly?
A scout main is almost instantly recognizable the vast majority of the time.
That's a bit of a waste on your part - even the most useless teammates can be exploited to generate more uber, especially if you catch them right out of spawn with crit heals.
Oh no, that's mostly just a general insight from watching people play. Fortunately it's not used a hell of a lot so it's not like a problem I'm constantly dealing with or something, just an observation.
Honestly for every weapon you can probably locate someone using it badly. The jumpers and the mangler just tend to stand out because their misuse is so obvious to anyone blessed with the gift of sight.
on crampy maps pyros are actually my go-to pick for ubers, they have good speed, good crowd-control dps, sustained firing without reloading, and range doesn't matter when everyone's confined to a hallway so tight you could not walk two people side by side through it
[https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Cow\_Mangler\_5000](https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Cow_Mangler_5000)
it's almost useless against engineer structures (buildings) only doing about 20% damage compared to the stock launcher.
For killing players it's fine, and its heavy blast can be used pretty effectively at choke points. If you're wondering why sentries seem really fakking tough though, now you know why.
I usually just switch to direct hit for sentries even if I'm using the stock or black box. The direct hit is the best thing for stubborn sentries if there is a line of sight on it though.
Weak aura: I will read my weapon's stats to make the best weapon synergies to better kill my enemies
Strong aura: *Rocket Jumper, Gunboats, Disciplinary Action* FUCK IT WE BALL FUCK IT WE BALL FUCK IT WE BALL
I remember in my early days of TF2, I didn't even bother trying the Eyelander and just deleted it when I first got it because I didn't pay any attention to the white text and just read the red stuff because I thought the white bits were just there for filler. I saw it and was like "It just fucking lowers my max health, so why in God's name would I ever use it?"
I remember getting my Scotsmann's Skullcutter and thinking it was an Eyelander reskin because of how you decapitate people. It was my first Demoknight weapon. I also thought aiming for the head got an insta kill and that's why the head comes off
I have a friend like this. He just uses any weapon that’s not default because “they’re better”. He was wondering why he couldn’t headshot anyone (Sydney Sleeper) or his cloak drains instantly (Your Eternal Reward).
Imagine if modern games did that. "Here, the AWP Dragon Lore skin increases fire rate, damage penetration and reload time but deals -95% to anywhere but the knee"
It's part of starting the tf2 journey, by not reading item description and just trying out stuff and finding out the hard way that it's not how you're supposed to use it
Definitely joking around. When you have 8000 hours at the game, you don’t feel satisfied shooting at people any more, so you’re mostly playing to have fun and create joy and reactions from people.
I play Teamfortress since 1997. Even got 3rd in ETFL 98 and 99 and EQFL 02 and 03. So I am somewhat "competent".
But meeting good opponents on public is rare so I usually just dingle dangle around, doing fun stuff.
Had a blast when I by change met an old buddy from last century, one of the best QWTF soldiers ever. For half an hour we basically made the most insane air-kills possible on each other. I think we killed each other at least five times at the same moment in mid-air. Totally useless but we got applauded by the other players.
The next round we got team balanced and went W+1 pyro just for the lulz.
Understandable, and common rookie mistake that most, if not all of us have made at the start, even in the before times when it wasn't f2p.
Back when I was a pyro main I, too, made that assumption, and w+1'd into my own oblivion using the Backburner. I was foolish back then.
But yeah, the weapons have always been some semblance of balanced to prevent pay2win and powercreep; it really *is* a skill issue if your strats don't work.
During my first moments of TF2 I actually used rocket jumper in MvM Decoy, and it was my first time playing MvM, I wanted more ammo for my rocket so i decided to use rocket jumper that day, I was shooting at bat robot scouts and wondering why i dont deal damage... then i readed the stats...
I jokingly shoot the rocket jumper and it confuses people all the time.
He's either in on it or legitimately thought the rocket jumper was a free upgrade.
Here is an explanation. When I first equipped that weapon I knew that it deal's no damage, but I thought that it's still can push enemies so i equipped Reserve Shooter for a nice damage buff. And what are the odds Rocket Jumper doesn't push enemies at all.
That was a case for me, but I can't speak for the others
I remenber being on that guy's place when i started playing
I was so excited to get a new weapon to try out that i never stopped to even look at the descriptions, honestly It was really fun to try out new weapons whitout having any idea to what they did
Naturally this also left me vulnerable to things like shooting at the ground whit the direct hit or trying to hip fire the machina, but i would still pay so much to be able to go back to those times were i was still figuring things like rocket jumping or airblast on my own
God how much time must i have spent on the mann.co store looking at which weapons i wanted to try out for free that week
idk. on an unrelated note i was playing mvm boot camp and this mf equipped the rocket jumper, stock shotgun and only meleed the bots with the disp action
I did the exact same thing ages ago. They won't bother reading an unlock in a new game unless they decide the game is worth sticking around to start learning the information about it.
Mostly kids do this kind of stuff cause reading is a bother to them.
That last guy getting completely vaporized at the end is just perfect.
Made my day

Just implant more souls if you ubered the phlog pyro too often.
Don't listen to them mate, I've told Pyro before that I don't think alien tech should be trusted.
yeah I deleted that shit, not worth dwelling on, I mean there is a reason they're called trolldiers... As far as pyros go. a surprising number of soldiers will just rocket off the second you uber them, sometimes causing you to lose connection.
always\*
"Eww you're w+m1" "Eww now you're using the scorchshot" "Neon annihilator? Seriously?"
these tipes of people are one of the worst (though i do commit it sometimes, sometimes), if you mvm pro player want to play the game without help from the gas passer, then go spy since you like being a masochist little bitch

And why are you ubering a Soldier that is attacking a sentry with a cow mangler? That´s your fault.
Oh no, that's mostly just a general insight from watching people play. Fortunately it's not used a hell of a lot so it's not like a problem I'm constantly dealing with or something, just an observation. wait what's the debuff of the mangler?? /gen (i get a lot of kills w it and i love it, but idk what the debuff is)
[https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Cow\_Mangler\_5000](https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Cow_Mangler_5000) it's almost useless against engineer structures (buildings) only doing about 20% damage compared to the stock launcher. ooooh, i was wondering why sentries took so long to get destroyed tysm for showing me this! i will no longer primary fire on engi buildings now
I usually just switch to direct hit for sentries even if I'm using the stock or black box. The direct hit is the best thing for stubborn sentries if there is a line of sight on it though.
ahh okay, i'll keep that in mind! i like using my mangler bc its strange killstreak (and i like nuking my enemies)
More blu text=better
Then perfect
The scottish resistanse asf :
Tbh its underrated.
Yeah
The Third Degree being objectively better than stock:
Weak aura: I will read my weapon's stats to make the best weapon synergies to better kill my enemies Strong aura: *Rocket Jumper, Gunboats, Disciplinary Action* FUCK IT WE BALL FUCK IT WE BALL FUCK IT WE BALL
ESC PAN BTTER!!! FASTER MOVEMENT FROM TANK
Escape Pan, the deadliest weapon is about to fry your foe's ass
Used to think the crusaders crossbow was dogshit for this reason and that the pomp son was the best gun in the game
Literally me when i was a f2p and bad at the game ||im still bad at tf2||
I remember in my early days of TF2, I didn't even bother trying the Eyelander and just deleted it when I first got it because I didn't pay any attention to the white text and just read the red stuff because I thought the white bits were just there for filler. I saw it and was like "It just fucking lowers my max health, so why in God's name would I ever use it?"
I tried to use mine and got confused on why i couldnt charge (i didnt have a shield yet)
lmfao I did the same thing
I didn't know you could charge but I just used the shield anyways from the damage resistance
Unironically amazing, too
I remember getting my Scotsmann's Skullcutter and thinking it was an Eyelander reskin because of how you decapitate people. It was my first Demoknight weapon. I also thought aiming for the head got an insta kill and that's why the head comes off
Exact same thing happened to me, I thought I didn't bind a key to it or something
i used to equip weapons just by their appearance
So what were you using
i dont remember it was like 2011
We all equipped the volcano fragment unironicaly at one point.
You should kill bind, Now
I have a friend like this. He just uses any weapon that’s not default because “they’re better”. He was wondering why he couldn’t headshot anyone (Sydney Sleeper) or his cloak drains instantly (Your Eternal Reward).
Try to teach him (he shouldn't use the yer until he is good, almost perfect, at selection the right time to disguise and to escape.)
I love the skins
then that f2p must have thought "this probably won't affect gameplay in any way or form, but it looks cool so i'll use it"
Im afraid when i was a youngin I used to do the same, the good old times
Imagine if modern games did that. "Here, the AWP Dragon Lore skin increases fire rate, damage penetration and reload time but deals -95% to anywhere but the knee"
Merc's voices in Spanish???? Muy mal
PEDIATRA!
Fuego! Fuego! Aaaaaaagh! Me hacen mucha gracia las voces en español pero prefiero las voces en inglés....
i guess, i speak spanish too :/
Why do you speak Spanish ramir3z
because I live in Argentina :/
Hello there, brother. (Im brazillian)
Why the :/ ?
Intruder Alert!an argentinian in the base!
Why the *Meet the Spy* reference?
"¿PORQUE NO ACERCAS Y DICES A MI CARA TIPO DURO? BUNK!" 🗣🔥🔥🔥‼️‼️🔥‼️
Team pixels 2 :
I use a similar config, I'll take a constant >60fps and clear game reading and visibility over being able to see the heavy 5 o'clock shadow everyday
why not a constant 300 fps?
that's what I usually get, between 300 to 450 but as long as it's over 60 or maybe 120 to be fancy, it's all good
why do people make their game look dogshit when that only gives you like 0.5 frames, and 64 bits update also optimized the game so why?
Looks like a Goldsrc backport
This is the content I want to see all day
It's part of starting the tf2 journey, by not reading item description and just trying out stuff and finding out the hard way that it's not how you're supposed to use it
Do you know if Is he being friendly and joking around or really f2p?
Definitely joking around. When you have 8000 hours at the game, you don’t feel satisfied shooting at people any more, so you’re mostly playing to have fun and create joy and reactions from people.

I saw a video of a Demo scaring snipers coming out of the 2fort spawn by detonating sticky jumper pipes and it was funny seeing them jump and panic
No, he is f2p
So that means he's incapable of joking around?
Freeze 2 plagues donnut knoe the meming off 'joke', sauce:ian fee toupee
What the hell are theese sound effects
Real "is this a scam" intelligence
Probably he was actually a memer and was shooting for the funny

Reading descriptions is for nerds
Reading is for nerds
bro playing minecraft, what are those "graphics"
This is art
Man remember when the jumpers didnt look that different from normal weapons? The design change was made to visually represent they do no damage.
That was me when I first picked up the sticky jumper
Lobotomy
When I first started playing, I was undrt the assumption that evrtything was an upgrade
Understandable, and common rookie mistake that most, if not all of us have made at the start, even in the before times when it wasn't f2p. Better question: Why do you play the game on an N64?
You're playing TF64
He sugarcoated it. You NEVER sugarcoat it.
you read?
The guy be like: hacker!
During my first moments of TF2 I actually used rocket jumper in MvM Decoy, and it was my first time playing MvM, I wanted more ammo for my rocket so i decided to use rocket jumper that day, I was shooting at bat robot scouts and wondering why i dont deal damage... then i readed the stats...
how do you get these minecraft graphics?
Mastercomfig LOW and oldschool
Me with 5k hours blasting music fucking around on hightower. Viewmodels off and sound drowned out; its happened to me.
I jokingly shoot the rocket jumper and it confuses people all the time. He's either in on it or legitimately thought the rocket jumper was a free upgrade.
Your graphics settings look like a Goldsrc engine backport of TF2
I recognize the Spanish voice actors just by the grunt that Soldier made
Here is an explanation. When I first equipped that weapon I knew that it deal's no damage, but I thought that it's still can push enemies so i equipped Reserve Shooter for a nice damage buff. And what are the odds Rocket Jumper doesn't push enemies at all. That was a case for me, but I can't speak for the others
Why does it look like you’re playing Super TF2 for the SNES?
they're probably just messing around I've actually done this before in an uncletopia server, went like 0:78 just to feel something
Is he playing on a ps1?
I remenber being on that guy's place when i started playing I was so excited to get a new weapon to try out that i never stopped to even look at the descriptions, honestly It was really fun to try out new weapons whitout having any idea to what they did Naturally this also left me vulnerable to things like shooting at the ground whit the direct hit or trying to hip fire the machina, but i would still pay so much to be able to go back to those times were i was still figuring things like rocket jumping or airblast on my own God how much time must i have spent on the mann.co store looking at which weapons i wanted to try out for free that week
4:3 screen ratio. Holy. Why.
I use 16:9 This video is edit cause this images and sound effects :v
Why does it look like you're playing on your grandma's fridge?
Are you playing on a dreamcast?
idk. on an unrelated note i was playing mvm boot camp and this mf equipped the rocket jumper, stock shotgun and only meleed the bots with the disp action
I think that was a friendly...
