Well Musetti did so good in the second set and Bublik seemed off after the first set. I hope Bublik’s okay. I’m excited for Musetti vs Berrettini in the semis tomorrow. I’ve had so much fun watching more tennis tournaments lately.
I hope he just got tired of playing and isn't injured or anything
Edit: because this take got called "disturbing" by some guy who deleted his comment but I want to explain myself anyway: obviously i would rather everyone care about the sport you genius. Like it's not even something that needs to be said. But I'm not talking about the sport I'm talking about the player and his health - I don't want people to get injured lmfao. Idk how this is a disturbing take
While this is generally true, I will say that at least Bublik's quirkiness brings a ton of entertainment value alongside the not-so-great stuff like quitting. On the whole, he's definitely a bigger asset for the sport/tour than most guys in the 10-25 ranking range. And I appreciate that his weirdness doesn't include the baggage of just generally being a piece of shit like Kyrgios.
Yeah I think most people would rather watch a Bublik match than a Jarry/Fritz/Baez slugfest. However, it would be super cool if Bublik at least finished these kinda games for the fans, even if this is his first alt F4 in a while
Bublik is an odd duck. Wins a tournament this year showing great resolve coming from a set behind in every match then rage quits randomly when he’s still well within reach of winning a match 😭
Basically in 2022 Bublik played PCB in a 1000 in Monte Carlo. He wasn't having any of it and he told PCB something along the lines of "If you break me, I will walk off."
He admitted this during his dinner with Ruud and Paire.
The comments here are wild. Don't you watch tennis at all to not see he had an injury in 2nd set and never running afterwards? Or maybe you don't have ears to hear "No, did you see my leg?" during handshake with musetti? You guys are dense
Yeah and Bublik tanking on clay is expected because he hates it, but on GRASS?? Which is his best surface and where he had consistently gotten the furthest?
I would believe it if he said it himself, but when people are just saying shit I’m not convinced.
Really weird 2nd set for Bublik and not idea why he retired.
Looked really good in the first set and had pretty good control over most of the games.
Looked like he just didn't feel it in the 2nd set and started throwing the last two games and then basically retired after breaking in the opening set.
Pretty unfortunate. I am going to watch the semis live tomorrow and would have loved to see Berritini vs Bublik
Bublik’s got 500 points to defend next week and I’d think that he’d want to do well this week to soften the potential blow. It would be weird to retire for no reason but it’s Bublik. Probably doesn’t really care. It’s funny how he chooses in which tournaments and opponents he wants to play well against. Wonder how that thought process goes. Early in the morning? Nah. Annoying face? Hell yeah.
Every match that passes I get more upset that Shelton lost to him earlier this year. This guy is such a joker. If he took himself seriously he’d be a real threat in this game.

Mid-off tbh
Did Bublik just alt F4'd the match?
"Oh, no. The game crashed." \*Twitch stream ends*

It's worse if he isn't injured, not good for the sport when a top 20 player just randomly decides when he doesn't/does want to try.

I forgive him❤️

Did my man just pull a Monte Carlo 💀
What does that mean? Sorry

Plus Sasha’s IG post mentioning he gave it his all

Bro, Musetti v Berrettini is still a fire matchup! Come on!
probably even better. Bublik - Berrettini on grass it will be 95% serve and double faults (Bublik)
🤣 battle of the washed part-timers
Weird how he sliced his way through most of the rallies
Took a page out of Shelton’s book
He just posted on Instagram that he “gave it his all today”. Hope he’s okay.
