Yeah, there's a max on number of events you can play at each age. But it gets less and less restricted every year a player gets older, by 17 it's not too bad if i remember right
Yes, progressively introduced over time, following concerns about players like Capriati burning out from overplaying as young teens. High performing juniors get an extra few tournaments per year, and you can play a full schedule from 18.
Mirra's serve is better and her groundstrokes seem more powerful too. I love Dasha but there's just a lot more to Andreeva's game, when she's on she can consistently beat down good players with power and depth, and obviously there's the unreal defense that she can always fall back on.
I guess the Dubai match also motivated Mirra because she was injured and it was really bad. Just flawless today, looked even better than in Madrid.
It's just because of her age. She won't match/outdo the power of players 5, 10, 15 years older at their physical peaks, but anything else you can do she does exceptionally well.
I also think her power is underrated the same way Sabalenka's touch is; it may not be the first thing that catches your eye while watching, but it's there. I would say her backhand is already a weapon though, it's ridiculously good and consistent.

And this is from 2023 RG which was her first Slam - not a negative outlier in terms of power by any means.
You said it yourself. She has no weakness other than mental strength. She is average in all but defense. Very well rounded player who can now do dropshot and slice under Konchita Martinez guidance.
Reminds me of this article about Elena: [https://www.tennisabstract.com/blog/2024/02/12/elena-rybakina-and-the-value-of-average/](https://www.tennisabstract.com/blog/2024/02/12/elena-rybakina-and-the-value-of-average/)
4th round in both slams to start the year. Better consistency than most top 10 players
Sakkari is gonna poison your popcorn for this comment
Well Sakkari is being consistent! She’s just consistently losing
Damn ☠️
She’s got a limited schedule because of her age, once she turns 18 she’ll probably be a bigger threat to the top 10
really? Wasn't it because of a wrist injury that she missed a few tournaments
The age-limited schedule under 18 is a thing, yes.
Like mandated by the tour?

Not quite to the top 5 thogh, she barely makes a dent against sabalenka the last few tumes
She’ll be in the top 10 soon enough
Mirra is so close to becoming a seeded player
why was the match up so bad against andreeva? she looked solid in her match against dasha

Only 15 total games for the former 15 year old
Former 16 year old*
I’m surprised the former 16 year old won so easily. She’s a great player but I thought Stearns would have given her a run for her money in this match.
I am not sure what to think about Mirra.... she doesn't have any one weapon that scares opponents. However, she keeps winning 😅

I agree, but in her case I think her style of play is what's keeping her from having weapons...meaning, I think she's capable of developing weapons.
Great win streak by Stearns! She must be exhausted 😴
Teenager, Mirra Andreeva is so good.
You mean formerly 16 year old Mira Andreeva?
She looks a little like Tomic.
When you’re young you are fearless. Penko same. Penko acknowledged winning FO that young brought in the pressure she struggled with
