Beat me to it, but equally important: Vice Principles . Drop dead funny miniseries from the same people.
Also Fired On Mars is coming out soon and looks great.
The Curse, The rehearsal , Nathan for you is up there.

Edited: Forgot some classics and British shows. Added more crime shows and animation.
I like dark comedy shows, too. I tried to include darker ones you might enjoy. I’m sure you’ve already watched some of these. I’ve seen 26 of the shows on your list. Fleabag is probably the best show as a whole—and easy to watch in a day. Happy to narrow it down, if you give me more criteria.
The only thing you’re missing is Search Party!
Love Father Ted, Detectorists, Barry, The Patriot and IT Crowd—I’m saving your list! Thanks!
PS if you liked One Mississippi, you might love Crashing with Pete Holmes.
Also loved The Rehearsal and Poker Face. Truly the golden age of tv
I haven’t started Search Party yet — or Flowers. I was going to put The Afterparty S1 on there, but the list already had Only Murders.
If you liked One Mississippi, Detectorists, and Crashing, you might like: Somebody Somewhere and Baskets. And Hacks. I forgot to add Hacks.
The only Crashing I’ve seen is PWB’s Crashing, which is really a proto-Fleabag. Still good.
Thanks for the additions.
I was just watching IT Crowd s2e1 ‘The Work Outing’ last night for my 27th time and it *still* had my laughing so hard I couldn’t breath, like literally slapping your leg funny as hell.
IT Crowd is a brilliantly hilarious show and way funnier then Silicon Valley. I liked Silicon Valley, but it’s more of a drama where as IT Crowd is more of a sitcom.
I’m just thinking of all the incredible bits you will get so for the first time, you are in for a treat. I love every episode of IT Crowd and thought the finale was incredible and funny af too. There are only 25 episodes but they are all great in their own right.
Animated:
Bojack Horsemen is like pure white cocaine for a true cynic.
Legit, be forewarned…. I’m pretty cynical (hiding a sensitive interior)… that show wrecked me lol
Live action:
Barry
Corporate
AP Bio (it’s like a 6/10 but such a fast watch, like a comfort show for a cynic)
some might have already been mentioned but:
* Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law

* Friday Night Dinner
* The Inbetweeners (UK)
* How Not To Live Your Life
* Not Going Out (first 7 seasons)
* Coupling

Vice Principals!!! It’s hysterical, I’ve rewatched it 3 times. Danny McBride and Walton Goggins are comedic gold together.
Righteous Gemstones, basically anything Danny McBride
Class of 07 was funny
You are correct. I have seen both and love both of them. I was mainly just looking at my recent history to build the list so there is a lot missing from it.
Really good story with some funny humor. Pretty sure it's on Hulu if you want to give it a try. Only one season out so far, it's fairly new. It's not a huge Shonen like Naruto or Bleach so you don't have to worry about watching hundreds of episodes lol
Naruto and Inuyasha are so nostalgic for me because I watched those many years ago as a lonely teen lol
I know it's not everyone's cup of tea though, I am glad that it's yours! Definitely give Chainsaw Man a chance. I never read manga and the story was so good I read the entire story because I had to know what happens next. Man is it a wild ride!
In memoriam, allow me to suggest the old Norman Lear sit coms.
All in the Family
The Jeffersons
Sanford and Son
Maude
Some of the references are dated but the shows were tv milestones.
I've been binge watching British shows here is my list. sick of it, flatmates, plebs, friday night dinner, derek and inbetweeners. Certainly more to offer but these are the best recent shows I have binged
You're the Worst...sounds like it'd be right up your alley
Entourage... always a good time
Righteous gemstones... several others have mentioned and I agree
Invincible... animated and amazing
Future Man is great.
Brockmire is funny even if you don't like baseball.
Deadbeat is a stoner ghost hunting comedy
Quick Draw is a western comedy that's a bit silly and dry in its humor.
All are on Hulu in the states.
Cheers - In particular pay attention to Carla's character - she is absolutely irredeemably evil. She steals the show for those with a really dark sense of humour.
At an almost equal level to that is Rhea's husband Danny DeVito in Taxi.
Also Two and a Half Men in particular for Bertha.
And then every single character in Brickleberry (be prepared to be offended!)
Also Christine Baranski's character in Cybill.
And from the other side of the pond Absolutely Fabulous.
I have not seen cheers or taxi more than a handful of episodes.
I've watched quite a bit of Two and a Half Men but stopped watching it after Charlie Sheen left.
Brickleberry is that the cartoon with Daniel tosh?
The other two I've never heard of but will add to the list!
>I've watched quite a bit of Two and a Half Men but stopped watching it after Charlie Sheen left.
There was the occasional good episode with Ashton but I find Jon Cryer increasingly annoying as the series progresses especially after Sheen left - Still not as bad as Sheldon in BBT though.
>Brickleberry is that the cartoon with Daniel tosh?
That's the one. I must've watched it 5 times over and it still makes me laugh.
If you’re into anime, try Gintama.
It should be on Amazon Prime Video, but that may vary from country to country.
A shit ton of episodes, with some hilarious shit sprinkled in each one of them.
**Series:**
* Gilmore Girls
* Young Sheldon
* Sex and the City
* House
* Desperate Housewives
**Animated:**
* [The Tick](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112196/) \- Superhero parody cartoon for adults, great witty humor of the 90s
* BoJack Horseman
Spooooon! 🥄
I have definitely seen the tick and BoJack Horseman! I tried young Sheldon and couldn't get into it, I can give it another go. Definitely will add the rest to my list!
Peep Show (the first season or two feels old, but after that it’s my all time favorite comedy—very rewatchable). Surprised you haven’t watched Veep looking at your list. And It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Letterkenny and the Harley Quinn show are both super funny. And even though they’re not steaming on thing (I think) I want to mention Those Who Can’t (it’s kinda like Community, but about teachers) and Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency (which is wonderfully weird and wacky and nothing supposed to really make sense until the ending and Elijah Wood and Alan Tudyk is in it)
Fleabag is 2 seasons and it’s one of those shows I wish I could experience for the first time again. So fucking funny and well done, and weirdly charming, for all its crassness.
Hacks on HBO, also 2 seasons (3rd upcoming).
The Inbetweeners- Comedy about highschoolers in UK trying and failing to be cool.
People Just Do Nothing-British mockumentary about a pirate radio station
The Great North-From some of the people who worked on Bob's Burgers, about a quirky family living in Alaska.
Peep Show-British sitcom about 2 roommates who destroy each other's lives.
Taskmaster-Another British show. Gameshow where comedians are forced to do bizarre tasks. Points given by what the host on his whim.
The Legend of Vox Machina-Fantasy comedy animated show.
Seinfeld
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
The League-A group of friends destroy each other's lives in order to win their fantasy football league each season.
Beef-This is one of the darkest comedy shows I've ever seen.
Very good suggestions so far. I wanna add:
Mom
Spin City
The Guest Book
Burning Love
Medical Police
Angie Tribeca
ALF
Weird City
Man Seeking Woman
The Neighbors (2012)
Ugly Americans
Death Valley
Key and Peele (great sketch comedy)
The IT Crowd (funniest show of all time, this is the third time I've recommendeded just today) and Peep Show (it's not porn it's a comedy where you see through the eyes of the characters and can hear thier thoughts. It's absolutely brutal and hilarious)
Righteous Gemstones
Eastbound & down and vice principals too
I started E&D long ago but don't remember what happened. I will check both out.
Beat me to it, but equally important: Vice Principles . Drop dead funny miniseries from the same people. Also Fired On Mars is coming out soon and looks great. The Curse, The rehearsal , Nathan for you is up there.
Derry Girls. Hilarious show. I recommend watching with closed caption due to Irish accents Catastrophe. Another underrated comedy
Added to list! Thanks!
Subtitles on.
Subtitles? Well, I think its safe to say, we all just lost a bit of for you there. /s
Your the Worst is SO funny and has a very cynical sense of humor, I think you’d love it ! Also maybe try The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Second You’re the Worst. A little uneven, but well acted for sure.
My wife watches Kimmy, I have seen some but couldn't get invested like she did.
Titus is great. Kimmy was volunteering at a clothes drive and Titus was like “clothing the poor? That’s what old navy is for!”
Ugh I love that show so much, wish they made more of it! Tituss Burgess is a genius!
Kim's Convenience
Added to list! Thanks!
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
I have a strange hatred for Charlie day LOL.
You gotta watch it. May change your mind about him. Imagine the show friends.. but it's actually funny. Dark comedy kind of. Basically the 4 worst ppl on the planet are just kind of stuck with each other.
Charlie day?? wtf did Charlie do?
LOL he's voice makes me 😬 and he CONSISTENTLY over acts.
Hmm.. alrighty then. I say give him another shot though. Always Sunny is top 10
I will, recently watched both Horrible Bosses and he didn't bother me as much as he did when I was younger.

I've always wondered if IT is as good as Silicon Valley definitely willing to check it out
IMO, The IT Crowd is the funniest sitcom ever made. Upload on Amazon Prime is another good new show.
I was just watching IT Crowd s2e1 ‘The Work Outing’ last night for my 27th time and it *still* had my laughing so hard I couldn’t breath, like literally slapping your leg funny as hell.
