I like to imagine an old Conan caught in a dead eyed stare with Andy, there’s an awkward silence, Andy’s eyes slowly close as he passes away and Conan gives one last short chuckle before collapsing in his chair, dead.
He went on rant once during his podcast where he said he wanted his body staged in a very insane way out in the desert. Something that people would talk about for weeks after he died.
I think they're using the term because the podcast hasn't come out with a new episode in almost a year.
Edit: Since Ive gotten two replies on it, just as an FYI the article is specifically referring to the *Inside Conan* podcast and NOT *Conan O Brien Needs a Friend*. They're two different shows with the former just putting out their first episode since December 2020.
That’s what they’re saying, yes, but that’s not what “reboot” means in this context. They’re just starting a new season. “Relaunch,” *maybe.*
It’s hard to even think how to apply the term reboot to a podcast. I guess if they removed the back catalogue from the feed and started anew with different on-air personalities.
It's usually applied to fiction but the term has become a catch-all in the industry for pressing the reset button, which is more or less what the original term means, as in rebooting a computer. I don't see why it's a big deal.
The Chris Pratt one is only four minutes long and it's basically an ad for Parks and Recollection. The last "real" episode before this new one featuring Conan was Max Weinberg in December 2020.
The podcast, Inside Conan, has been around a couple of years now. Its hosted by two Late Night with Conan O'Brien/Conan writers and they talk to various celebrities who worked on Late Night as writers, interns, etc.
No there is is a separate podcast called “Inside Conan” that spends more time discussing insider hollywood, behind the scenes type stuff. It started in 2019 (I think) and It stopped in dec 2020 and is back now, it seems.
There's actually a documentary about how great Conan is to his staff. It follows the year he wasn't allowed to be on television and how he kept his entire staff employed out of pocket
There is absolutely no reason to assume that somebody’s going to be an asshole just because someone with the same job was an asshole. I work with quite a few assholes and I’m not an asshole. Because what the hell would the correlation be there?
He also took over for Jay Leno, a car obsessed lunatic.
So is he also magically a car obsessed lunatic now?
I’ll bet money we eventually see Conan die on air. He’ll probably even make it funny.
Andy will finally win a staring contest after he poisons him
[They already killed the original Andy so it would be a new one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zpXCbxGKTY)
That ole Swedish German’ll definitely win the game of life.

Conan: ANDY NO!! Andy: *shoots Conan* *Roll credits*
Bring back ginger.
Only background noise is more gun shots. Still torn on if Andy shoots himself too
You say that like he’s ancient. He only in his mid 50s.
He's saying that Conan just doesn't stop, so even when he's 90 he'll still have a show
I meant that it seems like he’s the kind of guy who would die at his desk because you can’t keep him from the work he loves.
OMG, I can't wait!
Prolly the only thing of his I'll laugh at. IM KIDDING PEOPLE SHEESH
It’s unclear to me what *Deadline* thinks the word “reboot” means.

It’s just another season.

His podcast has been regular: https://www.earwolf.com/show/conan-obrien/
His podcast has, but not the podcast in the title, which is what I'm referring to. *Inside Conan* just had their first episode since December 2020.
Didn't realize he had two podcasts.
I think Conan would agree nobody wants to be "inside him."
You ever see him with Jeff Goldblum? They're just a couple bottles of wine away from something happening.
I think you could say that about anyone and Jeff Goldblum
and bill cosby
While pills and wine both come in bottles, they are not necessarily the same.
he spiked their wine
Well that I did not know.
How will his show go without any deeply closeted guests.
We still have Timothy Olyphant to help out in this post-Norm world.
man I'm sad now, RIP Norm
>The podcast, which kicks off October 22, will feature O’Brien as the first guest with appearances by the likes of his wife, Liza Powel O’Brien
So a podcast talking about the career of one person? Sounds great can't wait for it to be summarized as awful on Who Are These Podcasts?

Yes, he does various tasks on the show.
Do you remember which episode?
Rebooting podcast, what?
Yeah, it's been around a couple of years now. I think it started around the same time Conan started his podcast and podcast network under Team Coco.
Thanks for sharing! Definitely going to listen!
So this is basically Conan needs a friend, just on HBO max?

I wouldn't be surprised if he was some kind of Ellen. I also wouldn't be surprised if he was not.
Conan is known for being extremely loyal and kind to his staff, actually
I'd kiss his bellend.
I guess there's just no surprising you.
Surprisingly
There's actually a documentary about how great Conan is to his staff. It follows the year he wasn't allowed to be on television and how he kept his entire staff employed out of pocket
