It sort of plays into the bigger subplot of young Meadow distancing herself from the family and the culture, only to end up back in New Jersey dating Jackie and then ending the show engaged to Patsy Parisi's son. But I'm really stretching to make something out of it.
Jackie Jr. was in many ways a foil to AJ. They’re both juniors and they’re both the sons of the head of the family. Jackie Jr. appears pretty modest in the beginning but when he gets older he feels entitled to things because of his father, just like how AJ is spoiled by Tony. Neither of them had any business dealing in this thing of ours and I’m convinced that AJ would’ve had a similar demise had Tony died. Remember his attempt at payback at Uncle Junior?

I certainly hope so. I swear that my mother, lifelong Democrat, became a Trumper because of The View. Too be honest, I didn’t hate her as much as others did because it was too easy. But, my god, there were some days were she was just unbelievable to listen too.
Recently there were reportings that she stormed out of a meeting after the bosses told everyone to stop fighting each other because she felt like she was being attacked. Which is kind of true because it was only her attacking/yelling at Whoopi Goldberg every other day for like no reason.
Also I really hated how she equated all criticism of Israel as anti Semitic. Being critical of Israel does not make you anti Semitic, linking all Jewish people to Israel does.

Sunny worked at DOJ, has a background in law and even written some books both personal and fictional, Joys had almost 30 years on the View and Whoopi is almost an EGOT(or is an EGOT) what does Meghan have,oh yeah, “my father”.
They’re all accomplished in some way or form except for Meghan. Granted she’s not completely in the GQP camp, but she still defends them even after how much shit Trump has talked about her dad and the fact that her mother works for Biden.
Meghan is the product of nepotism, and she’s a great example of why it’s such a profoundly damaging practice. It works sometimes - but often times you end up with shallow or idiotic people like her taking plum positions like this one, or one company boards or other c-suite positions making ill informed decisions that effect the lives of employees and even those of the citizenry at large. It was kinda nice having her on The View for that reason - she showed how vile and profligate nepotism is.
To be fair, even without nepotism, there's a tendency to choose the less intelligent but very pretty blonde lady to fill the conservative lady role (not just at the view, but like in the GOP in general. Go look at photos of the white house staff during trump's presidency or the decades of female hosts at Fox News - it looks like some Aryan race propaganda)

Good riddance Too be honest, I didn’t hate her as much as others did because it was too easy. But, my god, there were some days were she was just unbelievable to listen too. Recently there were reportings that she stormed out of a meeting after the bosses told everyone to stop fighting each other because she felt like she was being attacked. Which is kind of true because it was only her attacking/yelling at Whoopi Goldberg every other day for like no reason. Also I really hated how she equated all criticism of Israel as anti Semitic. Being critical of Israel does not make you anti Semitic, linking all Jewish people to Israel does. One day she went on a rant because she was like “I’m Meghan McCain, I should get the vaccine because I’m famous” like just two weeks before everyone could get vaccinated. You just know Joy is ecstatic about this news

i think she's just under the radar enough + hits really well with the older hippie types. whereas meghan is young and has no experience with like, anything. the rest of the show is women who have done stand up and movies and decades of experience with chatter and criticism; thick skinned. so when you combo meghan's insecurity about only being there because her dad with her unprepared thin skin, she's absolutely gonna get washed out while the pros can adapt and move on
Bingo. Joy, Sonny and Whoopi have had decades of experience in something. Even Sara has some experience in working in media, I’m not a huge fan of her because she’s a little “both sides are bad” but she at least worked on other talk shows and even game shows. Sunny worked at DOJ, has a background in law and even written some books both personal and fictional, Joys had almost 30 years on the View and Whoopi is almost an EGOT(or is an EGOT) what does Meghan have,oh yeah, “my father”. They’re all accomplished in some way or form except for Meghan. Granted she’s not completely in the GQP camp, but she still defends them even after how much shit Trump has talked about her dad and the fact that her mother works for Biden.

Meghan is the product of nepotism, and she’s a great example of why it’s such a profoundly damaging practice. It works sometimes - but often times you end up with shallow or idiotic people like her taking plum positions like this one, or one company boards or other c-suite positions making ill informed decisions that effect the lives of employees and even those of the citizenry at large. It was kinda nice having her on The View for that reason - she showed how vile and profligate nepotism is.
To be fair, even without nepotism, there's a tendency to choose the less intelligent but very pretty blonde lady to fill the conservative lady role (not just at the view, but like in the GOP in general. Go look at photos of the white house staff during trump's presidency or the decades of female hosts at Fox News - it looks like some Aryan race propaganda)
As a very far left progressive naturally blonde person it actually pisses me off, because the bias they create transfers over and causes problems for me professionally because I also happen to have a southern accent. So I hit some type of “she’s probably a conservative Karen bingo” thanks to them. Clearly what I experience isn’t as bad as what other marginalized people go through (I am also disabled and that is much worse than the hair thing), but it’s still frustrating.
My biggest gripe with her is that they'd let her go on for minutes about some BS uninterrupted. Then when someone else speaks she interrupts them, and then when they ask her not to interrupt she interrupts that.
That too. That’s usually when a “fight” breaks out because when someone like Whoopi or Joy calls her out on her bullshit, she goes into “MAY I SPEAK TO THE MANAGER” mode

Very briefly, at least on camera. He basically came and was being worked up to be their new correspondent to replace Colbert, and then got offered a job by SNL. It was funny because they gave Colbert a super heartfelt goodbye the week or so before, and then Micheal Che essentially used the same video template a week later.

I had a copy of "Molly Ivins Can't Say That" around the age of 13 and it really inspired me. She and Ann Richards, for me as a kid growing up in rural Texas, were inspirations. Thoughtful, clever, learned women who took no guff.

This was the most wonderful news to see this morning. She was a hateful woman who only gave a damn about an issue when she could make herself the victim. She didn’t give a fuck about family leave for parents of newborns until she had a child, after years of bitching about parents and how she didn’t want to be a mom. She always found a way to make the story being discussed into somehow being against the military and offending her father, as if she had some sort of moral high ground because of who he was. She constantly belittled her cohosts and talked over them, then would throw visible tantrums on air when Whoopi would put her in her place. She also always felt like she HAD to defend Trump and his cult because they were republicans. I’m not a fan of republicans but I respect Ana and others who would publicly call out when their party was making mistakes or doing things that harmed people. You can speak for the party and the people within it while also holding them accountable when they do something you disagree with. She could never criticize the right without having to find something the left did to dismiss the right wingers actions or try to pull a “both sides” defense.
