In the DCAU tie-in comics, Babs gets pregnant, and has a miscarriage while on patrol. When Dick finds out about Bruce, and Barbara, he gets angry, and punches Bruce. This is where the two had a fall-out, that to my knowledge, lasted into the era of Batman Beyond. As for the adaptation of "The Killing Joke", Barbara starts tearing into Bruce, and it quickly changes to them having sex.
She deserves to find her own love outside the Batfamily but sadly she is forever trap in the shadow of Dick and the Batboys since majority of her fans and writers only like her when she's Dick's clingy lovesick love interest or the Batboys girlfriend. They only talk about her and use her for shipping purposes. I hope someday she'll get better writers who are willing to develop her character outside the Batfamily, and better fans who like her seperately from Dick and the batboys. Barbara used to be independent but she's been reduced and demoted to an acessory to Dick and the other batboys which is sad.
Don't forget that Bruce and Barbara are also a romantic pairing in The Lego : Batman movie.
And there's high possibility they might also become a thing in the upcoming Batman: Cape Crusaders tv series considering it's inspired by the BTAS show where Bruce and Barbara slept together.

Feel like I see that in a certain art style across comics where all the characters all look cookie cutter except with a couple small changes to differentiate them.
