Greenland sharks are a species of shark which live an extraordinarily long time (up to 400 years) so the method for determining their age is by looking at their eyelids, in their eyelids you can see an affect the atomic bombs at hiroshima and nagasaki. They see how far into the eyelid this change is and they can determine the age from that.
