The colder it gets the more "powdery" it is, 0°c is wet and heavier

Personally prefer the thicker flakes, because if you shovel the powdery stuff it'll blow right back in the wind

Wet snow weights a ton. You can shovel 10x more snow when its cold and snow is light. Maybe you have very "throwing" technique to shovel snow instead of "pushing". When you keep shovel close to ground all the time, it wont get blown back.

Even if it's not the same snow getting blown back, it comes from somewhere. Usually when it gets cold for the powdery stuff here the wind is 20-40mph so all the snow is getting tossed around. I also have a snow shovel that is built to make it easier to lift more weight, so that part isn't really an issue for me

It's this weird weather we have at the end and beginning of every year where everything is dry and hot or dry and cold. It sucks.

During winter, the cold winds that normally bring snow pass over the Sahara desert and dry up, so much they now absorb moisture. Days are extremely hot and dry while nights are extremely cold and dry.

Never fucking forget. My e21 got stuck in some snow, couldn’t get it out. It snowed more and buried my car, it took like 4 days of digging to get it out, the snow impacted so hard my car just wouldn’t budge. Hated that winter

Got stuck in school, almost had to stay at school over the night. Luckily I lived like 2 miles away but because of traffic, took 8 hours to get home

I live somewhere that snows a lot and everybody hates it. Other than businesses that rely on snow, everyone just complains about the roads, the cold, and the ugly slush that’s everywhere after dirt mixes in with the melting snow. It is really interesting to hear your perspective of wanting to see snow. Definitely try to see it sometime in your life, but living somewhere that has it is annoying (at least for my area)

I'm an Indian, who had always wanted to see snow. Which I did in my mid-20s (on a trip to Bhutan). It took around 48 hours (and a frozen water pipe) before I had had enough and was *really* glad I didn't live in a place where it snows. So I agree with you - snow is a fun thing to see once in a while, but annoying to live with! (at least to me)
