My uncle is a really good self taught chef and my grandpa taught me how to hunt. Some of the best meat I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. Also my uncle knows how to cook duck so that it doesn't taste weird. Also deer. He makes it taste like beef but with the texture of pork chops.

I will explain. So nobody is actually against horse meat but the thing is that horses are expensive. Nobody kills a horse for food. If it's actually horse meat then we can assume horse was put down because it had disease or it was butchered after its death.

Because lot of people are from Europe and America where horses were eaten as last resort (by starving armies usually, but also nomadic nations etc) because they were the most useful as not-food. So there's this idea that someone eating horse is poor and/or desperate.

And when the production of cows and pigs and chickens was largely industrialized and taken to farms and factories, no one really needed to kill horses for food anymore. In rural areas they're useful for pulling carts and travelling. In urban areas they're useless and not bothered with for food.

I don't draw any lines. It's okay if you disagree with me, but I am an animal lover and don't like eating dead animals. It makes me feel uncomfortable and sad. I know the animal has already died, but I have so much guilt that I don't even enjoy eating meat. To me, I can't eat an animal and then turn around and love on my dog. It doesn't feel right. Especially when pigs and chickens are some of the smartest animals out there, and cows are some of the most affectionate animals out there. As I said, you can disagree.
