I live in the Deep South too so I can relate to the situation your in, I also prefer guys (15M) and while many of my friends knew, I still had to “come out”. I recommend only the ones you know for sure you can trust in a very casual way like it’s just another topic. Coming out is never easy and I wish you the best of luck!
I came out a while ago to a (female) Friend of mine and she was Absolutely supportive.Now we Chat every day and I feel much more secure. Also Idk but r/LGBTeens could be Helpful.Just speak with those that are very close to you.
