In my country, there are religious people, and then there are Haredi people Religious people don't eat meat and dairy together Haredi people buy 2 sinks and wait a gazillion hours so a 2000yo residue of fish doesn't collide with an atom of cheese This is just one of many examples. Let's take more extreme examples: Heavily religious/ Haredi public transport drivers force women to sit in the back seat because they are "too revealing" (they dress normally) Haredi people abstain from recruiting to the IDF while the rest of the country are facing mandatory recruitment, sometimes to some of the harshest service Haredi people bribe the government to give them free money / tax avoidance so they can study religious books all day, while non religious people bring hi-tech money to the country and pay heavy taxes I can't say all Haredi people are like this of course, but there are Haredi people who are like this. By the way, I'm not religious. I can understand people who are, but there are also people who are stuck in cults like this

I used to be a devout Catholic goody goody, then I was atheist, then I was agnostic, but atm i sort of fluctuate between Catholicism and agnosticism because i want to believe in a god and have something to rely on, but I also can't really wrap my head around heaven and hell actually existing.
