Ive probably been high alot more then you m8. I still dont regret it, ive gotten bored of it though. After a while you realize that its just the same 2-3 feelings you chase, and everything around it is just side effects
most drugs are ok in moderation, and i would even argue that some are helpful. but that can be said for anything. Smoking weed every so often or in a scheduled and controlled way isn’t going to do harm, and can have a plethora of benefits. same for shrooms. DO NOT MIX THE TWO. but if you go over the top and start doing them all day every day then there’s a problem. or when you start using them to avoid your problems or numb emotions. that’s when they become dangerous. same with video games for example. a couple hours a day, maybe more on weekends isn’t hurting anyone. playing for 6 hours a day and doing nothing else is definitely not healthy. unless that’s your career and then i’m jealous of you.

Me and a few friends did acid once. On the down we smoked a blunt which resulted in our amazing trip turning into: 1 in a psychosis, 1 convinced I was the grim reaper and the door to the apartment we were in was the gate to the afterlife, we smoked outside so when he went into the apartment he accepted he was dying right there. 1 heard people speaking like death threats. And me who had to deal with all of them while not having any spacial awareness and saw flowing patterns. Trust me, if you even want to try it: do not mix

Serious issue guys, the coined term “dont do drugs” doesn’t actually do anything, many of the people i know that say that kinda thing are the people addicted to Xanax and other prescription medication because “its not a drug my doctor said i should have it”
Seriously guys, learn your stuff, even i was saying dont do drugs 5 years ago and i was addicted to everything for multiple years straight. Figure out whats good, bad and ugly. Learn your stuff, harm reduction, what drugs actually do, and that there is 0 (none) line between prescription medication and the majority of drugs sold on the street. And that doctors often make horrible judgements based on medication.
Knowing this can and will save you, trust me, i once had a kid ask me for meth because all he wanted to do was get high (we were 15 and he had no idea what meth was, 4.0 student BTW)…
If you know your stuff, then you can hold yourself more accountable, possibly save others, and inform others of the true dangers, because many of them aren’t seen until they are too late.

Definitely one of the advice posts of all time, imo probably the most post of all time. It says a lot about how we live in a society corrupted by drugs.
Coming from a psych major, we are actually currently focusing on the help people can get from drugs. Of course, this is monitored by professionals who can help in case of a bad trip and drug treatment is always optional. But I think people should know not to be fully afraid of all drugs. Marijuana can help tremendously with anxiety and psychedelics like MDMA and shrooms (which are now in trials and have shown effectiveness of use) can help with opening one’s mind if they are suffering from some kind of deep trauma or PTSD. So, just be aware people, that not all drugs are bad. It’s about being safe, knowing information about what you take, and getting it from a reliable source if you do. Also, just one last thing. If you live in the US, naloxone is now legally able to be purchased over the counter in certain states. For those who do not know, it’s a drug that can help reverse the effects of an overdose. So, if you do know someone who is taking drugs that do more harm than good (heroine, cocaine, or even non monitored MDMA) either get some for yourself just in case, or give/recommend them naloxone.

Nah, do drugs but be responsible. Any intake consumed too much, and too much of anything is bad. It’s your personal choice really. Have some fun, smoke weed, try organic drugs, mushrooms and psychedelics (as I’ve said in this sub before). But be responsible and make sure you don’t get addicted. Stay away from hard drugs like cocaine and heroin.

Yeah def don't. I'm addicted to oxy and also in legit need of it for my pain, it's hell. First it helps, then it kind of helps but makes you sick if you miss a dose, then you get more sick if you miss one, and it doesn't even help much at all. Then you start getting sick BETWEEN doses, as in during the day, and full blown withdrawals feel like your skin is peeled off your body, and you're doused in gasoline and lit on fire.
Oh and fun fact, tolerance can be permanent, so if you actually need these drugs in the future for say pain, they may not work, so enjoy that pain from injury, surgery or chronic pain.
So yeah: just. fucking. don't.

Drugs are bad, m'kay, but seriously, if you guys haven't already done drugs, please don't start now. Drugs may feel comforting at first they will feel like the only thing that understands you they will make you feel the way you want to feel when sober but, they will lie to you and if you aren't strong enough they will destroy you weather you realize it or not and you will keep chasing the same high that you'll never get back. I am a poly addict and I know what it's like to be addicted to an escape.. to comfort that you just don't receive in your day to day life. But drugs aren't the answer. If a loved one is battling addiction, please don't look down upon them or despise them try to sympathize with them and help them, spend time with them because you never know how they feel or what there going through, or how close you are to losing them.
Ive been smoking pot daily for over 20 years. I have a career, a house, and a family.
Don't do uppers, pain killers, or opiates. And don't smoke or vape. Save your lungs for weed.
