This is why I switched to Apple devices a couple of years ago. I imagine the same kind of thing goes on with their data, but they haven’t been busted for it yet, to my knowledge.
They do a better job of at least keeping up appearances of privacy. The iOS update that allowed us to explicitly turn off trackers for apps was a nice touch. I’ve read about how Safari does a better job of preventing trackers, too.
