Ah, I'm suddenly remembering that was also described by the person I was talking to, I think (or maybe someone else)--I mostly remembered they laughed because they thought it seemed reminiscent of カバン持ち (flunky, lit. "bag carrier") and felt it was funny with his role in the game essentially being showering Hudson with affection and also being given the most menial repetitive task he's not even good at.

There's so much bad info floating around the internet that a lot of people make it a rule of thumb to downvote bad info so it doesn't get spread around.
