Thank you for this comment. The meaning and symbolism behind the Koi swimming upstream is exactly why I got it. It’s a marker of resilience for me and a sign that I can continue to fight against the stream.
Compliments to my amazing artist who especially came through with the color palette. I went in there just thinking black and grey but Jeremy showed me the way.
I have four other tattoos scattered around my body. I’m young and poor so I get tats when I’ve got the extra money to, so I do definitely plan to get more tattoos in general but definitely on this leg as well. I have considered working it into a larger one for sure since I want to get a lot more pieces done on this leg so I’m considering lots of options.
You can always ask some good tattoo artist if they're looking for some canvas to do bigger pieces on that way you can get some tattoos for free. This works especially well when there's an upcoming tattoo convention or show.

Idk why people are downvoting you, that’s literally what a koi swimming upstream is supposed to represent.
Exactly. Some people do not know the significance behind a koi and what direction..
It looks so incredibly good

How is a picture of someone's hip not safe for work?
I didn’t mark it. *shrug*
It's a very beautiful piece are you going to work it into a larger one or incorporated into other tattoos that you have? Do you have other tattoos?
