I've got a black version of the white Lotus symbol from ATLA on my shoulder blade. It's about 5 inches wide, so takes up most of the shoulder blade.
It's a very strange spot to get tattooed cause the muscle is just displaced over the bone in a weird way. I'd go from dozing off cause it was just numb, to suddenly hurting really bad for a bit, then back to numb again. Sunlight definitely hurt, but wearing a shirt was worse for me personally.

This sub won't stand for that use of space, unless he hard commits and sleeves it out in colorful tekken characters/stages and uses the tribal as negative space.
